Le pianiste de Baltimore (ex-compagnon de route de Freddie Hubbard, Wynton Marsalis, Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy Scott, Jon Hendricks, James Carter, etc.) est une référence depuis de nombreuses années à New York et partout ailleurs où il est considéré comme le meilleur pianiste de sa génération. Il retrouve sur la scène du Duc le chanteur-crooner de Kansas City qui nest pas sans nous rappeler Big Joe turner, Joe Williams ou Johnny Hartman.

A perfect demo of scat bass from Kevin, a former bari sax player. This is how to do it. Come to think of it, it's the perfect way to do the massively overdone Route 66. RIP Kevin, you'll be greatly missed.
