Due to the state of the house leaking for so many years, most of the objects in the home could not be saved or they were simply garbage. I didn't show all the things we found and are keeping in the video as we went through everything in the home. I will show what we ended up keeping in future videos. As for selling, we will be selling things of value or objects that are salvageable in the future. Thank you all for watching and supporting this journey! ❤

It must have been a difficult decision to have to throw some of that stuff away. But you got to do what is logical especially in cases like this where the house and its contents were infested with so much mould. I am thankful the algorithm brought your channel to my attention and I look forward to watching this endeavor.

I'm the same as you in this regard. I would feel the urge to look through everything to see what gems there are among it all. Those photos are amazing! I would also feel guilty about throwing away so much of other people's lives. Having said that, I know I wouldn't feel bad if I was looking down on all of this and it was my old stuff being removed. If anything, I would feel guilty about leaving it behind for someone else to clean up, I think these people would probably feel the same way. I also think they would be happy to see young people saving the house and giving it new life. They clearly loved this home and put so much into designing and building it.
I definitely do think you should save the lamps, and the cabinet in the living room. They might not be your taste but they're classic pieces from the (probably) 1950s and if they're not damaged they're absolutely worth keeping/selling/donating.
And I agree about the chairs, they've got lovely legs!
Jenna you do you, i'm sure you keep what you can keep and throw what you can't keep, don't listen to the haters and peoples that tell you what to do on your own home. Give your touch to the home not other peoples touch. I suport you, keep working and going, they don't want to understand that you can't save 100% of the home, soon they could complain of why you didn't just used the rooted wood back on the ceiling 💀I'm with you Jenna
I know i cant speak for everyone but i wouldnt mind longer videos of this rennovation process. I still love to see her thrift flips, sewing, and crotchet projects. But to give us more content and maybe for her not feel as rushed, i wouldnt mind watching a longer video.
Edit: I realize that this actually might be a lot harder because it is more content which is more editing and time schedules. So maybe not the best idea, lol. I'm still very invested in the renovation regardless.
And I have OCD so watching things being done in "out of order"(in my opinion) is really frustrating sometimes, but Jenna really inspires me to be more creative and I love her for that. I know a lot of people are saying to keep a lot of the vintage things, but sometimes you can't keep everything. I would only recommend getting a storage unit if she really wanted to keep it and go through the things later, but the structure of the house should be the main focus right now. Again, in my opinion.

I know you’re on the fence about the pool, but I really really hope that y’all keep it and restore it. Especially after seeing all those pictures, it would be amazing to see it before an after, and to give it to life to something that obviously brought so much joy to the family that owned the house before you.

PLEASE make a coffee table book of the greeting cards, photos, blueprints, etc. you find in the home. That way you can have the history of the home without having to keep everything you find. I made one of my dad's matchbox collection and it has been so much fun to keep and look through.

I feel like framing the photos of the original house would be really cool for like an art wall once the house is renovated. Like just to be able to see what it used to look like compared to the future and what it’s been through would be such a cool way to remember the original house.
Yeah. maybe a couple. The rest you can scan digitally and make them go away.

I have a friend who is the city historian where I live. He has a bungalow from the 1920s and kept all of the original sales brochures and layout plans from when they were building the homes in his neighborhood. They are framed and hanging in the hall.
I'm sure after years of water damage and mold growth the furniture is roached but my heart dropped every time I saw you throw a piece of that mid-century modern furniture into the dumpster. I hope you didn't throw out anything that could have been saved. But it's your stuff, you may certainly do with it as you will.
I think they don’t understand the value of older items, or that others appreciate it & would take it off their hands. They don’t get the value of minimizing bulk going to the municipal dump.
I really don’t understand why they chose this place if they don’t have a deep appreciation for the design of both fixed structures and of the furniture/embellishments. Mind boggled.

@@sfstucco I agree mostly. I don’t want to think they are mindlessly tossing and maybe it was all too damaged to consider salvage. But as a midmod home-owner and someone who has done MUCH searching for period pieces to furnish it, this is actually too painful to watch. I subscribed one episode back and was quite excited but I can’t stand to see this so am unsubbing now.
I was cringing the majority of the time and holding my hand over my mouth. Some of that stuff could go for thousands and thousands of dollars, even with smelling badly and some damage. I just couldn't handle some of it and found myself skipping over a lot of the video. And those lamps, many people would love to have.
At least give it to thrift stores so someone can clean and renovate these precious items 👍
Those chairs that got bowled into the dumpster could absolutely have been refurbished.

@@barnabyaprobert5159 Wood framed furniture can be reupholstered. If the wood's not warped, cracked etc then it's restorable. I've done that kind of work.
That old dresser with the mirror and wheels seemed like it was in decent shape. Judging by the carpet under it, I don't think it was water damaged at all. I was bummed seeing that get tossed.

When you were looking at those photos of all the memories of a family enjoying their beautiful home and now it's all been abandoned and rotting and you have to discard all their stuff, it just made me feel some kind of way and I'm not even sure how to describe it. I do believe you are going to do a great job bringing this house back to life, it looks like a beautiful place!
Certainly reminds us all of our own mortality, doesn't it?
One day it will be our former lives being picked through.
I think the best thing to do is make what we leave behind as interesting as possible :)
Reminds me that life is not about the stuff you get along the way, that all stays behind. It's about the people, the memories, the moments you create and the lives you touch.
Same, like a bittersweet melancholy to juxtapose the images of people living their lives in the past with the present state of abandonment and decay
I often wonder what the walls would say. This lovely couple has been able to see that people and beautiful doggos were happy in that place.
If i would be in Jenna place, maybe i would've kept one or two picture of the previous family, if they are all dead, like no relatives left. I'd keep a picture of the family enjoying the home, it would be a cool reference to express how their life was, and how mine mix with their and it end up being their home and mine! But as i said ,only they have no relatives left, i'd feel weird to have picture like that if there are still relatives, i don't know why lol. I guess because if there are no relatives and i'd keep the picture it could give the sense of "gone but not forgoten"? I think.
About throwing other people's things away, I can only speak for myself: I wouldn't want my belongings to rot away in an abandoned house, filled with mold and a leaking roof. I'd rather have people like you invest time, love and energy to give this place new life and make my home their home. Imo you are honoring their heritage. Even, if this has to include throwing things out.
And the fact that she’s keeping all the pictures I think is also a testament of preserving their heritage!❤

Some of things i have learned as an architect, restorationist, preservationist , restoring/modernizing 3 MCM homes. Mold remediation is essential. Also, yes the cedar closet boards keep away moths but they also need to be sprayed with mold remediation liquid too. Rip up all "plywood " flooring & toss. Then remediate the floor framing and any subflooring. Do same after removing ceiling drywall.
There happens to now be Available UV air units that ultrasonically clean all spores, mildew, dust mites, and viruses & smells out of air and purify the air making it clean & smelling like fresh air after a rain with lightning to clean dust from air. These air purifiers are fabulous. They clean a room constantly. I would get a few for the rooms you are working in & wash off the inner metal plates that statically collect all the impurities. Then after all construction/ restoration work done, you can KEEP the inside air at it's best every day there after. Dehumidifiers will help also during demo stages. Replace filters on mask every couple weeks.
Just FYI, a tip we learned when cleaning out my parents home after they passed. Fill the bin to the top as you go. That way you don’t have to throw over the side or from the end. Also, try to get the furniture in the bottom and the rest of the items will fill in the gaps.
In America there is a place called Piano Santa. They pick up pianos and gift them to children who want to play, but can't afford a new one. See if there is a piano charity where you live.
Speaking from the perspective of a music teacher. Upright pianos are no longer a desirable piece to have in the home. It’s bulky, requires tuning which can be costly and hard to move. The advent of cost effective weighted keyboards has created an excess of pianos that nobody wants

the house was so full of memories and treasures that it NEEDED an unrelated third party to go through it all. anyone directly related to the history would have immense trouble parting with many of the things inside. i think a lot of house flippers would have just dumped absolutely everything, and i really like that you guys took the time to look through everything and find the gold. or even just capture the things you threw away on camera one last time so that thousands of people can see and appreciate them one last time before they’re gone.
Having been in that very same situation I can confirm that it can be too painful and arduous to deal with.
When my mother past she had a large house with all her belongings, and my dad's belongings that she'd never been able to throw out after he passed. None of the kids could do it. After we removed the most important and sentimental things we asked a friend of the family to step in.
@@ct5625can confirm as well. When my mother passed, even though she had meticulously organized her apartment, it was still immensely difficult to go through her belongings. The main difficulty, are the emotions attached to someone’s stuff.

You probably wont see this but take a look at the vintage teak furniture again!! They may have mold but teak wood is very hardy and anti-microbial. The best outdoor furniture is made of teak and the G-plan chairs would not be hard to restore.
If they have mold, then they aren't salvageable. Once teak starts molding it's all over.
As a former furniture refund her teak you wash down with a little bleach water. Rinse with clean water let dry and rub on teak oil.
Don't worry you can change out your cartridges on your mask... which you should do at least once a month if used daily in this kind of situation. If your finding it harder to breath, then maybe its already time.❤ Buy a bunch of apples and granola bars and leave them there in a cooler... so when the hangry strikes you've got snacks! Its comin' along nicely guys!
As a fellow fiber artist, ur change in content has not at all changed the enjoyment I find in ur videos. Keep doing what u want to do and I’m happy to watch.
Seeing Jenna go through all the pics of people having fun in the pool, the dogs on the porch, etc. made me so incredibly sad for the family who lived here before. Their whole lives are here on display for us. Thank you Jenna for trying to salvage their small memories and letting them live on. I would love to see their pics displayed in the house once reno is done ❤️

@lottiestanley7696 the previous family had plenty of time in the prior 3 years spent clearing the house. The owner's daughter obviously took what she wanted and left the rest. It is not this woman's responsibility to carry the legacy of people she doesn't know.

First of all, I have dealt with homes like this and I support you throwing things out. But, food for thought, some of the furniture pieces could be redone. You can take off the upholstery and filling, use some bleach solution and/or tea tree oil on the wood, and reupholster with fresh upholstery (maybe vintage). You may need to refinish as well. It’s probably all gone by now, but maybe a future project for your crafty self. I love this series-so satisfying. I hope you are enjoying the process!
Yes, likely too late here, but for future readers, quality furniture made with rainforest hardwoods are highly mold resistant. They will need to be surface cleaned and likely refinished and sealed, but they can absolutely be remediated if there is not too much direct water damage.
I agree, stuff just has to go in a project like this. It's unrealistic to save every little thing and stuff has to get out of the house to be able to continue the renovation BUT please the wooden furniture could have all been donated, people would have lined up to pick it up in order for it not to end up in a landfill...
I hated to see that awesome couch go into the dumpster, even though logically I know it's ruined and probably smells like mildew. There is just something very cool about it. This house is so pretty and the old photos show how nice it will be once again.
I feel like a dedicated person to furniture renewal would be able to make the couch brand new. Finding someone like that would be near impossible though due to health hazards.
There is a bunch of furniture there that with only a little bit of love would be extremely valuable.. but oh well... dumpster it is.
@@carmenescarrer688 your not thinking of what’s happening beyond the layers of wood and such. It would not just be a little bit of TLC. It would be hours of restoration work and sanding.

@pissum420 I can see you are reasonable. The only thing I don't agree with is diagnosing without seeing the patient. As in, it's hard for us viewers to judge if something is too far gone. (I understand what mould, contamination etc is) In my opinion we don't know. But then again I trust that this couple is using the best judgement they have at this moment.
And in the end... Those are still just 'things'. Beautiful, important history things. At least they were recorded in time using this video.

I completely understand why you have to get rid of some of the doors, but if you can I would save the door knobs. People look for the vintage hardware and it's easier to clean than wood. Plus you could keep it and put it on your new doors.
The original owners had money. All the finishes and furniture and pool back in a day was well done. Thx for saving this home.
obsessed with the idea of a coffee table book with the photos that don’t show the family and a separate one made for the family from you. just to consolidate the amount of photos
I don't know if anyone has commented this yet, but I would totally scan the photos and make a digital photo album so they're not lost. You could also turn the photos into a coffee table book, and return the photos to the original family. I feel like that would be a nice touch. If it were me I'd be too sentimental to get rid of any vintage paper products. Enjoying the progress so far. Keep it up!

I thought it was pretty damn disgusting that they literally threw those photos in the bin, instead of putting them in a box and giving them back to the family. I hope for them that the house isn't haunted ? The spirits will be pretty pissed at them right now. How disripectfull of them seriously ? Typical of the new young generation they have no respect.🤨🙄

Is fine, peoples always love to assume of what others could have done, but never assume of what they could do, it happens the same on my chanel. They want Jenna to save 100% of a house that's having huge damange on it, plus is her home, why do peoples care what she keep or not, let her just make the home feel like a HOME for HER, as she PAID for it. It looks like most would be easy to throw away for all but the most deranged of hoarders, because the water damage has destroyed it. Like I'm sure all that furniture that looks ok in the video is so damaged it would cost as much or more to restore as hire someone to create a replica from scratch. And by the time you got done with a restoration so much of the original object would be replaced it would no longer count as vintage.

Yeah. It really sucks because, had they not let the roof leak on it for years, that stuff was quality and could have been reupholstered, but you can’t fix it if the insides have been wet and rotting for years.
The photos made me weirdly emotional, I’m so glad you’re giving a new life to this house 🥺
I have been living in and cleaning out my grandmother’s house for the last year. Almost 50 years worth of stuff. The process is both physically and emotionally exhausting. I totally understand that it gets to the point where you can’t save everything. You guys are going a fantastic job and can’t wait to see the house when it’s complete!
You need to check those greeting cards they look handmade. Check the signature! Architects are surrounded by artists.

These were clearly cultured people who socialized in certain circles, and they had money. It's very likely that a random painting hanging on a random wall could be an original oil by an artist they knew, one most people haven't heard of but whose work now sells for thousands. So many people who don't know better throw away an "ugly" vase their grandmother had because they just have no clue it was an original piece and worth a lot of money to a collector or a museum. These people picked out items that stayed there for more than 50 years, even some of the furniture was probably commissioned.
I thought exactly the same thing. He could have dabbled in art when he wasn’t drawing architecture. I went to an estate sale of a famous seattle architect and bought many pieces of his personal art.
I totally understand not keeping everything -- also the fact that stuff would be full of black mold (hence your gas masks!!) When I was cleaning out my grandmother's home and my boyfriend's grandfathers home, you get to a point in the process where you are so tired and emotionally burnt out that you just start throwing stuff away to give you peace of mind. You can't keep everything. Although those old photos you found of the home are SO COOL! and the vintage xmas cards. You could put together a proper album to show people one day ;) I think those things are easier to keep than large pieces of furniture.
That was a house built for entertaining. It was a gorgeous house. It would be awesome to have a collage of the photos hanging up for your guests to see the history of the home. It’s wonderful seeing someone of your age taking on this task to restore a part of the past.
Thank god there is no smellovision. That mold ruined the couch and so many things in that house. Empty it looks like it has so much potential to be a beautiful restful home. Love your enthusiasm and dedication to making this vintage home your Own.......❤🎉

@@passarinha4451 At least in looked in good condition in the video. Maybe the preservation wasn't that great in person, but even then I would still lament for such a nice vanity to end up decaying with mold. Also thinking of how expensive a good vanity can be it hurts even more.

BEFORE ya tear up landscaping, wait until a few seasons pass so you can see whats there. Very $$$ to replace plants. And those there like where they are... no hit or miss gardening.
Re the 7000 pantyhose and all the red wine bottles etc.. When clearing out elderly peoples homes I learned that those who have been touched by the depression save everything. My grandmother saved kleenex boxes, cut offs from pants that she hemmed, tinfoil. They learned that one never know what will be rationed, needed, or useful.
Make do and mend was the motto!!
Agreed! One set of my grandparents were immigrants from Europe, having lived through tough times and WWII. Everything had an alternate use after its first purpose had expired. I still struggle with getting rid of things, but I’ve learned from living in a wet climate; it’s better to donate nice stuff now, than store it on your back porch and dump it all when it goes moldy. ☹️
Yeah but it’s still pathological. These people need therapy for what is clearly a trauma response.
@@missrottigirl It is only pathological to snowflakes. To regular people it is experience in practice. When you have been through a tornado you build a root/storm celler. When you see tornados happening more often you keep the celler stocked. They have been through war/rationing/depressions. They not only keep the practices they learned from it but watch the world and see wars, and prices increase, a lot of signs that things could go belly up. They will be prepared.

I know a lot of ppl hate seeing all these neat items and vintage furniture and such being tossed and recommending restoration of said items or selling things like the old hardware which is super interesting to learn about all these avenues of hobbies and interests that are out there. However, we all have to cut her some slack if she were to do that with most of the items recommended it would be pretty difficult to store it all and even get to it as she has a lot of work to do and really needs to get this house empty as quick as she can so that they can address the houses structural integrity. The old photos are definitely really cool and beautiful tho and I think worth holding on to. I am big fan of this series and look forward to a new video every week its so cool to be apart of and following this journey from the start and what a beautiful home it will lead to.
Agreed, and also a lot of things that still look decent on video or in pictures might just smell or feel really gross in person. We are renovating a house from the 70s on a much MUCH smaller scale and nowhere near as dilapidated and while I like to keep the look of the house and furniture as unchanged as possible you just sometimes have no other option than to paint or remove something if you want your house to feel safe and somewhat fresh.
It’s also overwhelming & honestly, there is just not enough hours to get all the potential projects done. And selling or listing for free is a major time sucker. The furniture isn’t healthy enough to donate. Decisions have to be made.

@@amysimpson646 And where do you store it in the mean time? They have a small apartment, they said. I presume their budget is limited. They need the whole house empty. Saving a few sheets of drywall and closet doors - they'd end up moving them dozens of times before they need them if they shuffle them around the house as they redo floors and cabinets. Been there, done that - it is not worth hours of time to save a few bucks. Yes, they are on a budget, but they are also on a time budget.
Should have called an expert and sold the stuff. Could have made you big money.
Seeing the couch in the dumpster was heartbreaking. I understand it needed to go. So happy that is done. Now on to the tear out. Sending you two all my best thoughts. Pace yourselves it's not going anywhere.

@@nineteenfortyeight6762you don’t know the condition of the cushioning, the frame etc. mould gets deep into everything and unfortunately a lot of the time there’s no coming back from it. It’s honestly not worth the hassle when they both already have much bigger issues to focus on.

I am so glad to see that you got rid of so much. So many people feel guilt about throwing out things, especially when I’m sure a lot of it was very nice. But that’s the key WAS don’t hang onto old rotten moldy furniture get it rid of it.
When the house is finished, you should totally recreate the photo of the dogs on the porch with your own dogs :)

I've lived in a house built in 1927 and a house built in 1974. They've had things in them from every other decade of our lives while we lived in them. If Jack is 58, then he was born in 1965 or '66. I was only born in 1989, but I grew up in my grandma's home (1924) surrounded by these things too, and I also recognize them as from that era.
I can’t even imagine the extensive drying and mold removal/mitigation that must be done. But I’m intensely looking forward to following along on this journey. Good luck and I’m positive that the house will be fully restored to its previous glory. Great job so far!

That bottle of Chanel #5 unopened just paid for your bin and then some depending on the year maybe even another bin ...so envious as we are opening up a vintage store to fund our nonprofit and everything from the pictures to the magazines,to old letters and cards are Sooo valuable 🫶such treasures..❤

@@nineteenfortyeight6762 the state of the house means most of this isn't salvageable, and conservation is expensive work that charity shops aren't prepared to deal with. i guarantee, as someone who's worked in charity/thrift shops, any of this stuff being donated would immediately be thrown in the bin anyway.

I am so invested in this now. I got emotional looking at the old photos of the owners, dogs and house. It’s just sad that sometimes the things you work so hard for don’t get the same attention after you’re gone. What you’re doing is reviving something really special. Fantastic work. Can’t wait to follow the story!
Our family purchased a historic home (1920 build) in late 2021. We have walked many of the same steps you are. Tossing "once loved" items is tough. If I could go back in time, I would keep handles and door knobs. They are small, easily cleaned, and bring so much character to a space.
Keep up the work! Replacing the roof will be huge. I look forward to seeing the condition of the trusses in the roof, studs in the walls, and joists on the floor.

Please please have someone who is familiar with midcentury vintage items come there and fill you in before you toss more. Most of that furniture can be sanded and saved. That beautiful couch could have been reupholstered. I’m so excited for the restoration but this episode really broke my heart. 😢

As a former anthropology major, sorting through a house full of other people’s stuff is my wet dream. I would have helped you go through all the boxes for free. All I require is a couch to sleep on

You need to keep that pool - it's great and people would pay a fortune to out one like that in. It's some work in the spring and fall but you could hire a pool company to open/close it for you. It doesn't take much work to maintain normally and will be a lot of fun for you, family, and friends.

I have a MCM house, not anywhere as large or expensive as this, and it has a 10 x 4 cedar lines closet. just love it.

I'm sure the previous owner did what she needed to do for her mental health which was to sell the house "as is". And now you can honor the home and previous owners by refurbishing the home to it's former glory. The home and the previous owner will praise your names and you will have a beautiful home. Never make someone else's mental trauma your own...you are doing a great thing! You are doing the hard work the others could not.
We know you are doing right by that house. The guilt is real but I think the former owners would want to see you happy and the house loved and restored. You are finishing a task that was too overwhelming for them. People who are complaining about throwing out things have no idea how overwhelming this process is.
You mentioned feeling bad about the things people "kept for a reason". I'd be willing to bet the reasons those things were kept has long since come to pass.Things remind us of the times, and the people who are our real treasures. Once those are gone, they're just things again; their purpose has been fulfilled. You are both doing a great job. Can't wait to see episode 5!
Oh to be young and strong again. Watching you clear out the house takes me back to the days when I thought I could capture the moon.
This brought back so many memories for me. I have a friend who lives out of state and her father was living in his parent’s house. They never threw anything away. It is a two story house with a basement and a detached garage. Her dad’s mental health deteriorated to the point that she took him back to her state to live in a memory care facility. I spent the next 16 month decluttering and selling the more valuable items including two cars, two boats, over 2000 golf balls, and so much more. I wish that I had thought to chronicle the journey. It would have made a great CZcams channel.

Can't even imagine how hard im must have been for the previous owner to throw away this stuff. Every time I try to clean out my house to renovate it i get stuck on little things and I get scared that I might throw out something that was important for my family. I cried when I had to throw out broken tools that belonged to ma grandpa, even though he would have yelled at me for trying to keep trash. Thank you Jenna for taking care of this beautiful house
You should definitely save those photos and make a scrap book with them!! It would make for a great piece that can be displayed on top of a coffee table Or could be put on a shelf somewhere!! It would be nice to show the history and the memories made by the previous owners, it would add a lot of character to the house.
It makes me sad that stuff with so much history behind it had to be thrown away 😢 But I also get that things were probably past the point of repair and there's nothing that could've been done about it...

I wish you would have brought in an archivist or a historian to take the documents! There is so much valuable stuff in there. I totally understand not having the energy to look through everything but it would have been great to pass the boxes of papers along to a historical society of some sort.

I feel like that sofa should be donated to one of those YT channels that restores upholstery. It would be fascinating to see how much mold it contains.

HOW TO FIX LEAKING ROOF!!! To help fix the leaks, go to your local billboard company and ask them for any old billboard posters then have. The posters are a thick tarp, which according to google is made "3-ply material with vinyl (PVC) on the outside layers and a denier polyester scrim (mesh) inside". People use these all the time to temporarily patch a roof that is leaking.
You may not need them anymore, but you should get some furniture moving straps. Makes moving furniture with two people way easier and it’ll be easier on your backs. Good for you for all of the hard work you’ve done so far!

For the mold and smell I definitely recommend an ozone generator. My father was a hoarder and it was amazing the difference it made, just becareful with it and follow instructions. Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤

Moving house a few times and doing big purges each time has helped me keep on top of the things I've accumulated but I could see myself ending up with this much stuff if I stayed in the one place for so many decades. It's incredible how much stuff humans generate and keep. And it's fascinating going through it all! Love seeing the glimpses of the former owners' lives.

Any WWII memorabilia is very collectible (and worth money), as are those old cameras that I hope you didn't ditch. As the sole survivor of my family of origin, I can certainly identify with the overwhelming stuff. As someone who moved into an old farmhouse/apple orchard, I feel you as I went through a similar situation clearing out about 3 generations worth of stuff from the house and a FILLED 2.5 car garage. And farmers save *everything* lol. On one hand you don't want to just bulldoze through the stuff but If you languish on everything you find it'll take years!
You guys are doing an absolutely amazing job! I am so touched that you show so much care and love for every item in the house. You should not feel bad at all about throwing out what you did. Watching these videos is actually beautiful. I can't think of anyone better to take ownership of that house. Truly amazing, and you should both be so proud.

We live in the “carriage house” of an old lake house that is the same age and probably similar condition to this and it gives me motivation to tell our landlord we’d clean it out. We even have an old cement pool that has seen better days! The main house is much smaller than yours but it needs the same kind of work. Keep doing this series I love seeing all the progress!!!
