    I stumbled on this recipe and I am confident that I will never buy bun again . This is a great recipe . It’s quite easy to follow. I am vegan so I tweeked it a but the results were perfect I substituted apple sauce instead of eggs maple syrup instead of honey vegan butter instead of the dairy version. I used half the amount of sugar and used equal amounts of whole wheat and bread flour. This is so delicious. This is the fourth set I’m baking since Easter.

    Please note that I Guinness is strong so if you’re not a fan please get Malta the Jamaican store is far away and they didn’t have any Malta, so if you have access please use 1 Malta and then one stout if you’re a fan of the stout then you won’t have a problem using it but it does leave that Guinness taste in your mouth by using two bottles so be mindful of that and check my description box for the recipe ♥️♥️ thanks for watching

      The whole top of that bun would have to go . I couldn’t swallow not even a piece of the fruit if I can see it. My fruits have to be well blended. But great job for those who love it like this.

      How we Rowe Cooks,Lovely Bun ,the steps were very clear n well explained.Iwant to know if it is grated dried orange peel u used in the egg to get rid of the rawness or it is the peel fr an unpeeled orange.What us the purpose of jam n jelly in the bun.

    Hi There, I have tried your bun recipe and my buns came out wonderful. Texture great and sugar was perfect. My own discovery was the browning. It made my bun too dark. So I will eliminate the browning next time. Otherwise............

    Hi......i am now in tne process of baking again. This time, i have decided to use less browning because my bun came out extremely dark the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed my bun.....had to do it twice!

      Thank you so much global, try and get a bottle of malta and use 1 Guinness with it I couldn’t get any Malta so I use two Guinness and you could taste it a little if you like Guinness then that’s fine

    This instruction is perfect for me , i tried it and i got some good result, thank you so much i will be trying the coco bread next, one thing thou the 4 tablespoons of browning makes my bun too dark, next time i will use a little less, other from that its so good i love it thank you

      Yes the browning can be strong depending on the brand that is why I made a short video updating the recipe and stating that I used less browning, maybe you missed that video I’m sorry but I’m happy you got great results

    Searching for bun recipes and came up on this.. The only ingredient I don't have at home now is the raisins and mix peel.. My family is not a fan of raisin so am going make a bun 👍🏽😀

      Awesome you don’t have to add them, I don’t like them either I only use it for the video, check my description box for the recipe and use dragon if you can find it, I couldn’t find any that is why I use Guinness but the dragon gives a more bun taste

    Hello lady Rowe I made my bun your recipe I have to say it's super delicious only thing is I leave out the eggs because I don't like eggs and I added lots of fruits Cherries Currants. Thanks a bunch piece is now heading to Jamaica as we speak 😀 yes Jamaica island 😆 its really a hit I use 1malta and 1 stout too oh by the way I couldn't get any red lable so I used a cup of magnum instead. Thanks again

    A bun dis ! The batter taste excellent. If you want fruits going throughout the bun and not just on top then add your soaked fruits to the dry ingredients and mix it in first, then proceed to add your wet ingredients. Shout out to 'how to cook channel' 😊
