Top 10 Best Beaches in Almeria Spain Summer 2021

The province offers its visitors more than 100 km of best beaches in Almeria and most extraordinary bays in Spain: Monsul, Aguadulce, Genoveses, Mojacar, Vera, San Juan de los Terreros, Cala de Enmedio, Rodalquilar, Agua Amarga and Las Salinas Beach.

Despite being an almost virgin and isolated 300-meter coastline, Monsul beach is very popular with tourists, families,, and friends. It is located in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.

This 2,500-meter beach is one of the most frequented in the south of Almeria, especially during weekends and summer. Its dark sand and calm waters have made it possible to win the Blue Flag, an award granted by the European Community, and other awards that certify the great quality of this beach.

This wonderful beach is located 2 km away from the small town of San Jose, in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. Its 1200 meters are full of fine golden sand and the absence of buildings and streets, make it a totally virgin bay. The only way to get to the beach is by walking through a path full of lavender bushes, from which you can enjoy magnificent views of the bay and Morrón de Los Genoveses, a volcanic promontory 85 meters high.

Mojacar has 17 kilometers of coastline, ranging from Marina de la Torre (in front of the golf course), bordering Garrucha, to Rambla de la Granatilla, in the impressively beautiful district of Sopalmo, and a few kilometers from the beginning of the Natural Park from Cabo de Gata - Níjar, next to the municipality of Carboneras. The visitor can enjoy both virgin beaches, ideal for the loneliest, as well as other more touristy ones, equipped with numerous services.

El Playazo is the largest and most important beach in Vera. It is located in the hotel area and with more than 2 kilometers in length it is a huge and beautiful beach. The Naturist beach is located in the northern part of Playa del Playazo, once the promenade ends, and it has naturist hotels, urbanization,, and restaurants. This area is world-famous among naturists for being the first officially declared European enclave for the practice of nudism.

It is a Spanish town, belonging to the municipality of Pulpi, in the province of Almeria. This site is known mainly for its incredible and diverse beaches, from fine sand beaches and calm waters for family enjoyment to fossilized sand beaches, rocky areas for diving, or beaches with all services with a boardwalk.

This beach is located in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park and has been voted one of the best beaches in Europe by the New York Times. The only way to get there and enjoy its fine dark sand, its crystal clear waters, and its geological formation of white rocks, is on foot or with a small boat. The isolation for which it is known makes this beach an ideal place to practice nudism or diving.

Despite being about 3 km away from the town of Rodalquilar, this impressive beach is accessible to everyone. Its blue and crystalline waters, its fine golden sand, are guarded by the imposing castle of San Ramon, located on a fossil dune. Playazo beach is completely safe since the entrance to the sea is progressive. Therefore, it is indicated, especially, for families with children and elderly people.

This urban beach of fine sand is located in the town of Níjar, in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. It provides all kinds of amenities to people, making it an ideal beach for the whole family.

With its 5 km in length, Las Salinas beach is the longest beach in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. The diverse variety of sand (pebbled or fine) satisfies everyone's tastes, making it the ideal place to spend a sunny day with your family.
Also, if you like bird watching, this is your paradise. In the middle of the beach you can enjoy the singular church of Las Salinas, a true icon of the park. Curiously, you can also observe the birds around the beach, since you will find yourself in the ornithological reserve of Las Salinas.

The naturist beach at Vera Playa is one of my bucket list destination. Hoping to take a break there either this September, or June 2024; can hardly wait to walk nude on those sands.😊😊😊
