It is hilarious how some people make comments and you can tell they have no clue what their talking about. This wasn't about Mad Skillz, it was about the DJ, skillz was just support. Skillz can spit fire, go do some research.... just sayin. Whether he needed to be up there or not is a different story, he was just showing respect and setting little things up, but believe me his name fittz... Jazzy was one of my idols back in the day... Skillz, you do got skills.... Type in Mad Skillz sway in the morning....there is a lot on you tube, but those will be a good little introduction. ..... Real hip hop for life and the love of music......peace.
This really was great the way they took it back to the early days of hip hop, when the MC was not the star, but the guy on stage that served as hype man for the DJ.

However, all the talk about Skillz being wack and a "shitty MC" or whatever. Shut that shit down. That man could drop some lyrics and fuck up your whole year. Do your homework! What he's doing is taking hip-hop to where it originated - with a DJ and an MC who actually hyped the crowd. Back in the day, hip-hop was about the music and not the character standing on stage talking about Luis or Gucci or other designer brands. The MC's job was to rep the DJ and that's what he's doing! Now I will say ... I have seen Skillz in better performances, but throughout the years, he has proven his validity in the game. Again ... do your homework.
