They should make the rail grinds and springs fit into the environment kinda how the rails in sa2 made sense, like their not floating other than final rush which makes more sense, and they look like each level theme like the vines are rails in green forest or how metal harbor has rails in ACTUAL rails and city escape and such, or how in radical highway you could rail on all sorts of things as long as their there even if it doesnt look like a rail, like the fences and such

That will actually be cool instead of removing the boost in the open zone levels there's no boost but in the cyber space type levels you can use the boost that way both fans can be happy I could be wrong though
@Everything-rk2rk what I mean, is that instead of having a cutscenes when you go from one open zone to the other we get a cool boost level that transition both opens zones and maybe also explains why we loose the chaos emeralds between open zones.

12:26 does that actually mean anything? Saying “now we know that will happen sometime” seems like quite the stretch.
And if they ever do they will most likely have to rewrite or let it fade into obscurity due to backlash, which would be a whole other problem.
I don’t think anyone wants to see Sonic in a relationship for real, it gets messy baaaad, just look at 06 or pretty much the entirety of Archie, and I’m pretty sure Sega remembers all that quite well so I doubt they would want to touch that again.
Having small fan service moments is one thing but to have the main character be in a relationship after 30yrs is something else, if they wanted to make any ship canon they should do something like Vector and Vanilla pretty much no one has a problem with that.
Besides come on, we all know Vector would be a dope stepdad for Cream.

I feel like one could animate Sonic Show as sonic telling the news and it would just work with how well your voice would work for sonic in general.
As much as I love Silver, I would rather have Blaze be in a game without him so she can develop without relying on him. I think it's important that both Silver and Blaze have a chance to showcase more individuality, especially since they will need to redevelop their 06 synergy anyway.
Plus, a lot of people seem to be forgetting that iblis is technically still sealed away inside her 🤷♂️ she even remembers the events of 06 in Gens...
I wish they both were just one-off characters because it makes no sense for them to keep coming to Sonic’s timeline. 😭

I’m kinda concerned if what Kishimoto is saying is actually going to happen. From what I understand Frontiers was the first game where he was vocal online with little to no evidence that he did this in the past.

These game should play as slow as you want but as fast as you are good which is where the competitive time trials come in… you have to be freaking awesome to become fast enough to complete in time for the gold. The first episode of the Knuckles Show is on CZcams and it's really good. I thoroughly enjoyed their characters here, nothing spectacular in terms of personalities but the fight scene in the latter half was pretty good. I mean they had to make human fighters look good somehow, it feels like Marvel choreography.
If Kishimoto gives me a new game with Knothole characters, i legit will cry.

DId Sonic Advance 2 technically count as a boost game? Honestly, I absolutely loved the level design and mechanics of Sonic Advance 2 and wouldn't mind seeing something that combines the speed mechanics of Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Advance 2. Maybe something like, keep the character's default movement like it was in Sonic Frontiers where they move at a jog or a slow run, but then enter sprint mode by holding the sprint button that allows you to start building speed. While boosting around is fun, in terms of reach the finish line level design, having to earn max speed felt more satisfying.
I would say the "Sonic eras" are commenting on the mainline series strictly
So they consider open zone to be the third generation. Makes sense.
I now see why Sonic X Shadow Generations is a thing. If the Shadow stages are going to be in Frontier's engine as some say, then that sort of would make the game a 3-generations-game, but in a more subtle way. Then again, I dunno how open Shadow's stages will really be.

I had just chalked up the shorter spines as "Sonic needed to trim them down".
Imagine if they took inspiration from Ice Cap Zone in Sonic 3 or the snowboarding part of Sonic Adventure and made that one of the many special stages in the next game? Imagine if it had multiple types of special stages like those too! We could have what are essentially mini games in a bigger adventure. Sonic Adventure games had racing, pinball, slot machines, fishing, rail shooting, ect. The sky is the limit!

I think the best takeaway from this video is that Kishimoto is interested in bringing back those forgotten characters. I would kill to see those characters again in the main canon.
10:24 I think in order to make a compromise between boost lovers and fans of momentum, they should re-re-implement the Sonic CD Peelout mechanic in new modern titles as the boost mechanic:
Hold down the boost button to charge out the peelout and then release when full charged to go at top speed. You'll essentially keep top speed for as long as you're as good at the game. I would love to see them do it cause I was disappointed my first time of playing Lost World when they added peelout.
fun fact charmy bee & amy rose were the first comic characters to come to the games so it's possible that other comic book characters that sega owns could show up in the future. yea gotta fight for it to make it happen freedom fighters

If sonic frontiers 2 come out as the next game in the series I have a feeling it will be called sonic dimensions and have not only a playable blaze like you said but her whole alternate dimension cast of characters will be playable too. Maybe even silver might join in on this one, one can only dream to use his full potential outside of project 06
I hope some enemies are still one shottable in the future. The battle gameplay should still be fast or at least avoidable
They better give us a Frontiers 2 with Silver and Blaze. As for everything else said, I would love to see the Freedom Fighters again, but I'm worried they'd be ruined. Mighty and Ray could work, but you can't top their Archie incarnations. Lastly...Never give us Sonamy! Not only do I love Sonally, but I also don't think game Sonic needs a romance. That should be last on their list of story ideas.
A 3d sonic rush that still keeps the style of the 1st game would go unfathomably hard
As much as I love frontiers, its somber and quiet atmosphere makes me want something a little more fun and light hearted.
I want another sonic adventure 2 battle type game with all the sonic characters even from comics and racing in it with a good story
I wonder if this new game might act as some sort of bridge from Superstars and Superstars 2 (or whatever they call it) while also being it's own sequel to Frontiers since hearing that Metal Sonic, Infinite, and even Mephiles of all villains are gonna return at some point in the near future. Not to mention that also indicates the return of the phantom ruby, which in my defense could bridge some of the gap of whatever the new sequel of Superstars is going to be while also acting as it's own sequ- Wait, wouldn't that hypothetically mean that it could be a multi-sequel game since Metal Sonic, Infinite, and Mephiles are going to make some kind of grand return sooner or later?!
Now am I going over myself? I'll be honest: It's a little much. Might be going overboard on this one, but it's a possibility to consider at the very least. 🤔

Regarding the Avatar, I think it would be a really cool idea to spin them off into their own subseries so that they can go on their own unique adventures without having to compete with Sonic for the role of main character. It could also be an opportunity to experiment around with playstyles and introduce new characters exclusive to this spinoff series.

a second dream game were Sonic and good Egman (pyjama/Dr. Bee) Team up against Thirteen (the sleep demon/monster) and at the end Eggman wakes up and say what a stupid dream
and to go tottaly crazy a music game with Sonic the Hedgehog Band
a Blaze and Silver game in her dimenson fighting Null (and his Shadow Zombie like army, + Johny as Blaze rival, Marine The Raccoon, Blaze Kingom + her full dimension in 3d (like the factory island), return of the pirates and Egman Nega (fixing his character ?, like wrong timetraveling with memory lost ? or just ignore it as everybody els))

The fact that Kishimoto said his favorite villain is Metal actually makes me super happy! It would be awesome if Metal was the star of his own game one day. He definitely deserves it, and no Sonic 4 episode Metal doesn’t count.

I really like the sound of them getting rid of Boost in the next game. Boost cheapens the level design of Sonic because you don't have to actually be good enough to platform properly and build up momentum to go fast, you just hit a button and you're at max speed. It's not rewarding. It can be done decently like in the Rush games where it's a resource you quickly run out of if you don't play well but it generally hasn't been handled well and I think focusing in more on creating level design around conserving momentum and launching yourself with physics-based platforming could be great.

I am a simple man, so I only want three things from Sonic frontiers 2:
1. More playable time with Tails, Knuckles, amd Amy: I know a lot of people want more characters like Shadow and blaze, but I would rather be Master these three before we start throwing more into the mix
2. For the world/open zones to be more Sonic-y and less generic: the open zone concept would be a lot more fun if it were more like Sonic's world
3. The boss fights have to keep up the same level of spectacle that we got from the Titan fights, as well as give us cyber Sonic again

I would like to see quite a few changes in a potential Frontiers 2.
First, an updated and more stilish design for the characters and better animations.
Then a non-boost game, with maybe a bunch of special stages with Generations Boost-esque type. I’d like them to improve combat too.
I’d like the setting being Blaze’s dimension, with a whole new world and lore to explore for a change. They could find a logical reason to let Sonic and some others to Blaze’s world.
I’d like to have 3 or 4 main playable characters, being Sonic, Shadow, Blaze (and maybe Knuckles too).
I know this might be unpopular, but let’s have a game without Eggman for a change. Let our heroes face a whole new threat, maybe some foes that threaten Blaze’s kingdom, maybe other elemental based characters related to Blaze. I know that robotic enemies are a staple for Sonic games, then maybe let’s have a threat like Eggman Nega and then some other magical foe.
The title Frontiers 2 would fit very well
