Buckin , them axes ya make are something else , billy I dont think you know how good with a axe you really are. what I mean is you swing , flip , throw , chop shave yer arm darn Most of us would kill ourselves with them if we messed around with them to mutch. Buckin I love ya buddy. Your a great axe man. The flick the way ya set the axe heads to a handle. Thank you for trying to teach us the fine art . Love Wins.

I just wished there were more new parts for all those McCulloch Chainsaws. As soon as I get one thing fixed on my saw something else happens. I suppose it comes down to the man and his saw. Thank you Buckin
What a great saw!! I just bought a Mac 10-10a my first Mac. Going to sharpen up the chain and go cutting. That axe your swinging is a gorgeous tool. Nice work buckin

Hey buckin great videos brother really enjoy them
I love it buddy love wins
Hey Buck'in that Mac really pulls hard. Neat saw. Looked very slippery in that snow splitting rounds. Nice tool that axe is the real deal. Thanks BBR and everybody be kind
These are the videos I love the most. A catharsis comes over me just listening to plain truth and seeing the joy it brings you. Thank you.
What’s up buckin glad to see ya
I Bucked and trimmed Cedar salvage for years earning a good a living.
I use the Oregon filing gauge which keeps the file up in the proper position..
The tooth face needs a chisel edge not a knife edge or it will become dull quick.
When you work piece meal you aren't making money when filing your saw.
All the specs for the proper tooth angles are right on the box the chain comes in.
Depending on what you are cutting you can get more aggressive on your angle like when cutting soft wood like red cedar.
Hi Ocean Bird ...what were you bucking ? 24” Shake blocks for fly outs ? I did quite a bit of that myself ..I still work with cedar when I can find it...I like doing 18” inch blocks for hand splits which I do myself ...Also make cedar fence rails ...all salvage ..love working with red cedar .. ..I look for ways to do things easier ..and Buckin is great for learning things from ..Never too old for learning..cheers
Love this stuff Ahwoooo 👍👍♥️
Down south, we call when Buckin blows his nose in the woods "country boy kleenex"
What a beautiful axe! Definitely a work of art.
That McCulloch rips buckin 👍 “she cuts eh” have a blessed day and be kind ✊
The humble axe. May we never take it for granted!
G'day Mr Rubish, there was a time in our past where owning the humble axe meant the difference between surviving or not 👍.
Thank you Billy Ray!!!
Man, that cuts like butter
My goodness that saw is a torque monster there is virtually zero bog when that bar is mid log!
That mac is a bad mother , thanks for the video buckin
Ol Jerry Clower is who turned me onto McCullochs. Still have my graddaddys ol saw, still runs like brand new.
Of course it will it's a bellhopper saw brother
Buckin Billy Ray I tell you out there swinging an axe cutting wood with Saul puts just a little bit of a pep in my step good good video love wins
That 550 is great i love it nice to hear alil of u n hogan on the job together!!! Been awhile! Have a good weekend buddy.
Wow that mac looks like a nice lightweight saw to pack around the timber
that's a sharp chain! love it
You need to save all of your old chainsaw chains and forge you a nice billet of Damascus steel to make a nice axe head, now that would be a nice axe head made from Damascus steel from the very chains that you wore down to nothing.
Love the big saws. Especially the 125
That 550 is hauling it.
That old Mac is very impressive. Not all revs just pure grunt!
My son says when I grow up buckin and me are going to go cut some whoppers [big trees} down lol it’s awesome
That's one cuttin ole girl ain't she!!
Jereme did a heck of a job on that saw and porting it, watched him do it actually. Biggest thing to help wake up the old macs is a good port job.
That Bell Hopper makes an amazing saw.
I could have used that info about the top plate years ago makes total sense digging too far down it's too thin the first cuts always beautiful then the second and third is all dried up because it's blowing out the top plate thank you
Working in the snow nothing stopping Buckin
I bet I'm going to out-split some family members this summer after watching this! Cheers man, thanks for the video.
Oh, nice Buckin'! Is that the 105cc BEAST!? Very nice piece of history.
I've been filing chains for 45yrs and billys right the angle of your cutting edge cant be like a razor blade thin or blunt like an axe . carolton file o plate will help you to get the right depth with your file. thank you.
Greeting! the last couple of months i have been following you on youtube and today i bought my first mcculloch chainsaw, 2-10. I don't think it's the last one I bought.
Found one of these 550s in storage at work going to try to convince them to let me buy it
I like the talk about saving your handle out. I really value lumber. Without the stick the axe head can't do a thing. That tree might have grown for 100-300 years for your axe, you better take care of it. Otherwise you're not respecting your tools. If it's nothing special sure beat it up. I process and dry my lumber by hand now.
It's hard not to appreciate it and take care of it when you have to wait months to years for it to dry! Back in the day when the axe was king you didn't just lend your axe to a friend. If you carved that handle yourself it's precious and you didn't want anybody to ruin it.
Good 👍 sawrus hibud
Nothing like a Mac. Long live my Mac collection
Love hearing the old Macaroos pulling in the wood. I’m in no hurry...I’ll take torque over revs any day.
Vintage ace heads and anvils are harder to fond than hens teeth. At least where I live.
Deadly
Go buckin!
a did splitting some wood with ax today.feeling in my body that now,but it was fun.
My dad swore by those old McCulloch saws.
Mine swore AT them, often and loud. They did NOT want to start when they'd sat for a bit... That's how I knew we were going to cut wood that day.
Sweet axe!
When u showed the big standing dead cedar in the start I cld picture a massive pile if kindling
Hey Buckin’ 👊✊👊
Very helpful.
Giver bud! she pulls like a freight train !
First like and comment
Yah, I've gone through a few handles. This helps. Thanks!
Either I've got horrible axes, or you've got incredibly easy splitting wood. I wish!
Maple usually splits very easily- unless you get an ugly knotty piece, or a tough stump. (or one of those yard trees that grew in a spiral...) I like that, Ash, and Beech the best for hand splitting. Apple, pear and hawthorne? Not so much. And then there's the odd piece of honey locust that laughs at you, and flips you off. "not today, suckah!!!"
@@pyroman6000 my splitter struggles with locust. 😂 it burns so hot though
Thank you Buckin
Nice.😆 😆.💪
What was the ring off Buckin? Did you work it out?
you can have the hottest engine, But there is no replacement for displacement!
The Old Mac ain't Skeered!👍
Why not winch or pull these logs up onto the driveway first instead of having all the process wood way down in this hole??? Thanks for video!
Hey there Buckin’ New subscriber here and I’ve noticed you have a lot of axes and I would really be exited if you made a video showcasing every single one of your axes! It might be a long video seeing as you have so many but I would definitely watch it all. Keep doing what you’re doing I love your videos
Welcome! Great to have you here! Be Kind Friend 🌲💚🌲💚🌲💚
Cool idea, could be a series, "Axe Stories with Buckin!" Then a spin-off could be "Tales from the Powersaws" , "This ole Ford".
I'm sure Buckin will do something like this, Always interesting hearing his stories.
Hope your well and Welcome again!
your message to be kind helps so much 🤝😎🍺✌🏻
Smoking that wood 🪵
i gotta try that and get the gullet on my stihl saw 28 inch 391
If u want your chain to last use round tooth chain.
Thanks Buckin !! 💪
I have a question. Working in low temperatures, do you mix the fuel with kerosene or something else? I appreciate your response!
Great Axe talk , do you sell handles for double bit axes, I'm in UK struggling to get handles , cheers.
There's an outfit in WI that some years back sold Chinese chain. I & some other people bought these at bargain prices. That should've been a tipoff. Up to thar time they did sell good chain at good prices. That chain would stretch like crazy & wouldn't hold an edge.
billy!
What size and type bar and chain would you recommend for my little ms290?
Getting a smaller diamiter file helps. Not all files that say chainsaw file means they are the correct size. Read the specs on the chain that determines the file size
How would that wood your splitting there compare to Oklahoma oak? Harder or softer or the same?
Had to look it up 103cc no wonder it pulls chain so hard.
👋
Chain will run cool today
There's not much that compares to the sound (and smell) of a big saw pulling through some hardwood. Good stuff.
Is that a Helko Werk Tasi??? I started picking up Helko when I couldn't get an Arvika. Could just me me but they make some nice steel.
Hey Buckin ,What tooth sprocket are you running. Looks like a lot of chain speed.
1st 🏁🏆 …..welcome to the new subscribers and a salute for the true blues…. “It’s all in the filin’…good stuff mate, love the snow . Love to all be kind & safe …
