Hope everyone is good.
In today's video I'll be trying out the new Cantu maximum hold gel (the strengthening one). I haven't seen too many reviews floating around yet so hope this is helpful for all you type 4 naturals :)

Thanks for the review. Your hair turned out well, even when you touched your hair a lot. I wonder if the flakes could have come from the mixing of the other product that was left in your hair? Was the left in product a Cantu product?

Thank you. Just about to get a TWA and as my hair quickly absorbs moisture, but it leaves the hair just as quick, have thick, frizzy roots, and hair can be not hard, but definitely dull and lifeless looking. It's quite big and long at the moment, but don't want a dry-looking TWA. Might just try the Eco styler.

Love the video. I just brought the exact same Styling Gel and I brought the Cantu for Kids Curling Creme (I've never styled my natural hair like this, so I'm hoping I've got what I need). Because you have reminded me of how long this can take, I will postpone washing my post-box braided hair to tomorrow morning so I can duplicate this. Your video was quick and simple that I'm looking forward to trying this.

The definition from this gel is amazing! I personally don't like thick, goopey, artifical gels hence why I make my own flaxseed gel, however I might give this a try! Loved the video 💕

Usually what I do is shake my head really hard (head bang LoL) and I don’t touch it and there isn’t really any frizz..well tiny bit of frizz.

Have you tried flaxseed gel and/or rice water?
🙌🏾🙌🏾 I'd go with wetline gel though, I've seen way more positive reviews on that. I haven't yet, I'm scared of the rice water lool. But I might give the flaxseed a go

Maximum hold my butt. This gel is a NO for me. I thought I would at least get a day out of my wash and go. This gel didn't last me 6 hours. No hold equals a whole lotta frizz.

Cantu Maximum Hold Gel: Well of course its frizzy gurl I cant do all your homework for you I'll only hold your hair like I should if ur applying a really good leave in conditioner on ur hair. T.T
