Hi everyone I’m the hairstylist, thank you so much for the positive feedback an to all my clients on here that send this to me .
I also want to clarify that the service was being done on a good blow dry hair which means that’s shrinkage she is claiming is not possible .she just had too many broken pieces that I know they will grow back …that why I preceded with the service. She wanted 66 locs but then show me my clients photos that have about 100 locs she said that the volume she want . I told her 66 locs won’t give us that volume let do 80 _90 locs we will be able to achieve that look . She said ok That what I did.
Girl you are so beautiful! I hope you sued her for slander. She’s a nightmare client. I subscribed to your channel, I hope you post more videos soon!
Hi! You're an amazing woman! ❤ gorgeous inside and out
I hope you sue her for defamation. She jacked her own hair up and wanted to get her money back! She’s a scoundrel!
Hi, Ms. M. I'm a new subbie btw so glad you won as I knew you was because you were honest and very prepared for your case. I hope that you won your defamation suit as well! You did an amazing job on her hair and I hope to see more of your work and even give you a try!
Your hair is beautiful ❤
The only thing the judge is wrong about is that black hair can shrink A LOT when it’s wet. It can be a tight Afro when wet and touching your back when straightened
Yea I didn't like that. Flat ironed hair especially 4C shrinks a lot! When flat iron it stretches it out to full length
Hair does shrink, but you can’t say you lost all your hair doing a service, that at most from the evidence she lost at max a couple inches like 2/3 inches the new stylist cut out the loc so 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ whose to say the true damage
!!!!!!!! That pissed me off !!!!! The case should be able to be tried again based off her ignorance of what they were actually talking about.
I mean she may know a lot, but absolutely nothing about black hair. My hair can literally be just below my ears when it’s wet and curly; I blow it out and flat iron it, it’s past my shoulders… this is us!!! Judge must ask someone rather than watch a Chris Rock special. 🙄🙄🙄
The fact of the matter is she is not rapunzel. Her hair was NOT down her back. That Pic she showed was not her hair in it's natural state. If she was going to use that then the only comparison would have been with her hair flatironed AFTER she cut the locs out..... she is full of shit, picky, indecisive, and a bad communicator. She got locs and decided they weren't what she thought and regretted the decision. So then she wants to make it someone else's fault instead of owning her decision.
Also, that Pic of her hair when it was flat ironed, was what she did right after a sew in. Her hair was damaged then and she flat ironed already damaged hair so yeah......it was already broke, that broke it more.
What she should have done was cut the already broken ends of her natural hair, start her locs with her own hair, and go through the natural process. ... no instant gratification but much healthier longer locs and thicker, healthier hair. She deserved to lose that case.
The stylist crying juat broke my heart.
I feel for my fellow Nigerian sister… doing good work and getting dragged to court by an air headed American
Same! 😢
Same. I felt her spirit thru the phone. Where is she omg.
The judge didn’t know enough about about installation. She didn’t install them properly. When locs are installed locticans usually wash the locs AFTER installation before the do the retwist. AND the hair she used is synthetic.
@@Makavellah001air headed American? But if we call you an “African booty scratcher” like when I was in grade school, then you want to claim we hate you.
I can’t stand people who try to get by/ outplay other people’s generosity. The loc stylist did more than what she was originally paid to do. She should file a defamation lawsuit.
Agreed!
I agree
Exactly, agree! Shrinkage is one thing but it's not to the extent of what she was trying to portray. Nope. The stylist went above and beyond, for free, which took good business and compassion. She tried to milk it and the stylist wasn't goin'. Now it's time for her to gain her rep back from the defamation damage done. Watch how people react to things not going in their favor and you'll see who they are😉
@@MelissaM.3121 I don’t know this lady from Adam but I got really upset when she started crying because you can tell she genuinely cares about the work she does. I hate when people try to mess up a good thing for other people just because they’re bitter.
PLaintiff says...that's not my hair...Defendant says I have a video...Plaintiff...Oh...(you can see the look of well I guess I have to admit it is)
Poor defendant. She seems so genuine and did the right thing, way more than she should have. She really needs to sue her for damage to the business.
I would sue her for defamation bc not cool at all
she shouldn’t get a permanent hairstyle and then wash it the next 48 hours
SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD THE LADY BEGINNING BOUT HAIR ALLERGY
@@jeterjacknat1 Please read up on what defamation is. I studied it in a law class and I can tell you it's not as easy to prove as you seem to believe. You also have to prove actual damages. Someone giving an opinion that's negative is NOT defamation. Hurt feelings is not damages.
Thin, damaged ass hair is NOT a good foundation for locs!! 😂 Jesus
Yess please tell know this, get your hair healthy and grow your own. Thats what I did! Look at my locs video.
Thank You 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I was hoping someone noticed that besides me. 😆 🤣

I get compliments on my locs all the time! It took a lot of dedication but I love my results! 😅

I hope the defendants business is thriving. She went above and beyond for the plaintiff.
So she’s had allergic reactions to certain types of hair but didn’t mention this to the stylist, didn’t do a consultation, but is set on only getting 66 locs??!!! Chile she went by this all wrong. The plaintiff was the cause to her own demise of her hair style. Now you want a refund??!!!! Chile please!!!
It's like the case yesterday about the woman who refused a diagnostic at the mechanic, insisted on buying the cheapest parts from somewhere else and then blamed the mechanic for not fixing the problem she told them to solve. If you go to a professional with a specific need, let them do their thing. The cheap comes out expensive.
Exactly! Make it make sense..smh
Always, if you have allergies to the process, mention at the beginning.
Holy smokes! My first car didn’t cost what some of these women spend on their hair!! lol! 😮
She’s foolish for even trying to get locs knowing that she has an allergy to certain fake hair. I have the same type of allergy and now refrain from using any fake hair because it breaks me out and causing my hair to break and thin out.
She had damaged, thin hair to begin with. She knew she had sensitive skin before hand, and did not tell the stylist. She picked a style her hair and scalp couldn’t handle, and has to accept that she waisted her money. But that lady did the work. She did her job
I think she has bad, damaged, dry, hair, because of all the things, she keeps doing to it,flat irons, dreadlocks, extensions, especially when she already has dry, damaged hair, with allergies...
Yeah my mom has thin hair and breaks out easily. I would not recommend her for this style.
All hairstylists need to stay away from the plaintiff!
This girl needed to understand that for her hair, she can't be doing all that. She should focus on the health of the hair and learn how to leave her hair alone. Her hair is too sensitive and weak
💯‼️
The locsologist went above and beyond for this woman!
Beautiful too
I agree on all points re: the loctician 😊
Beautiful indeed
The hot pink looks amazing on her. She's GORGEOUS! And she was one of the better prepared hair stylists on this show, kudos to her!
Loctician boo😂
The plaintiff needs to give up. She even admitted that the defendant did everything she needed to do plus plus.
Dreads just ain't for you
Go on bout your business.😢
Thank you!!! Just ain't for everyone
That's just bulkier weave if she wants dreads just stop combing your hair and live ya life then bam dreadlocks 😂😂 so easy
@bongoikno4994 that's what I thought. What ever happened to the old fashioned dreads, where you just twisted the hair and let nature do its thing?
Chile she said thats not my hair without even looking. Stop lol.
Because she is delusional. Let her tell it she was the modern day Rapunzel!!
@Mongo76 idk what she was thinking with this law suit. Just embarrassing herself her bf shouldve told her to sit down. And if ur hair is thin y get dreads that's going to grow and gwt heavier with length. She did too much and caused this on her own

I agree with the judge 100% now she needs to turn around and sue her for real. I feel really bad for the stylist.
You can see and feel how passionate the defendant is about her career.. I feel terrible because her feelings were truly hurt.
When the plaintiff realized she didn’t read the contract or agreement well enough she should’ve gave up
These are literally the worst type of clients. YOUR GETTING A PERMANENT SERVICE yet, you don’t thoroughly read the website , you don’t thoroughly explain your allergies and Desired density at the end…. Girl please. I’m so triggered as a stylist bc some clients are really not able to be pleased and she is def one of them.
Hey Pana!
Plaintiff was lying within 3 minutes...you could tell.
She’s nasty
The stylist came prepared! You can really tell that she is an expect in her field.
I love the defendant. She’s so beautiful and I’m sure she really loves what she does. If anyone is curious the difference between temporary or “faux” locs and permanent locs are that faux locs are wrapped around a braid, and regular/permanent locs are actually locked into your hair with a crochet needle!
For the record Judge said "I dont believe that your hair can get wet and then shrink." Something along those lines. Yes, Black people hair can be bone straight from flat ironing and then we can wet bone straight hair and it does SHRINK lile a mf.
Absolutely, mine coils up 90% of the length…MAGIC
I definitely believe it shrinks, it just makes sense!
She is not the right person for this case she lacks knowledge of black hair. This judge watched that good hair documentary and think she qualified 😳🤨🙄
Exactly wrong judge for this case. She knows nothing about Black hair 🙄

The stylist was trying her best and didn’t deserve to be in tears. So glad she won
Sue her for posting false claims
I never knew that was an option, next time I’ll request 218 braids in my hair 😂😂😂
Right!😂😂😂😂😂
I know, right 😂😂
It should be an option. I have fine hair and to make sure my hairline doesn’t end up in the middle of my head or hair on the floor.
I would have booked a consultation though
Right??? That's why you get a consultation because depending on size of head, thickness of hair, the stylist will say what's best. Plantiff sounds like drama! Didn't even tell the stylist she has allergies to hair and what works for her. SMH.
😂😂😂😂right
Sis in the pink is an expert in her field. She loves her skill
The stylist should post this video,on her reveiws,so people see,she went above and beyond...❤
The plaintiff is a nuisance. Your problems aren't every bodies problems lady. These people think stylist are magicians. If you don't do the work on your part to maintain/care for your hair, then you're in trouble.
💯!!!
She should’ve researched Locs before she got them. If your hair in THIN…..89 Locs would be a LOT better than 66 Locs! Then you have a hair allergy and DONT tell the person doing your hair? This whole case is wild! The defendant obviously tried to help her and she’s tryna screw her over!
Yea because if you got thin hair why would you want thick parting just to make your hair look more thin and that’s more weight on it so it’s gonna break off
Clients like the plaintiff is why I stopped doing hair. Never satisfied and never takes accountability.
Same😪
😂 that’s probably why she posts guidelines on her website and takes videos/pics. It’s sad. Zero accountability and also people wanting free services.
That plaintiff thought she didn’t have to follow instructions or listen to the stylist. Didn’t even get a consultation like she was supposed to! 🙄
She’s not a decent person you can tell
She had three different services from this lady- and wants a refund? If you don’t get out of here!! Good call JM! I hope the defendant does file against her, later.

This case really grinds my gears, I’m glad the plaintiff didn’t win
If you’re so sensitive, why didn’t she book a consultation and go through all her considerations needed.
I agree with the ruling but the judge is wrong about hair shrinkage. Hair does shrink up that much. Shrinkage is real and that bathroom picture was clearly her real hair.
Not true , before I started locs shrinkage is real .
I disagree. Look back at the video where the second loctician was showing where she was going to have to cut the locs off. It was not that long.
I was just about to comment this! Natural hair shrinks when it’s wet or in its natural state. Of course your hair is going to be longer when it’s pressed out
@@KritTeekDeZigns My kid's hair goes to the middle of his back when you stretch it, but because of the texture when it's left in its natural curly state it's like 2 inches long on his head. Shrinkage can be that dramatic.
that hair is clearly not. she had her hand over the tracks. Thats why she couldn't find more pictures.
The stylist is genuine.. felt bad for her!
commenting before watching i just know the plaintiff is not getting 5,000 dollars
I said the same thing!
I am 1000% in agreeance with the Defendant! She is an honest woman and glad everything went in her favor!
The judge doesn’t understand black people hair. When our hair is wet it DOES get significantly shorter due to the way water draws it up. When it’s blow dried, straightened and flat ironed out, you can see the true length. But I think the loc style looked good though.
It was really cute......
The teacher in me was annoyed with the plaintiff - immediately. READ THE DIRECTIONS WHEN BOOKING! People never want to follow directions and then expect you to bend over backwards for them.
The plaintiff couldn’t look after the hair that’s why she wanted 66 lol
Wants 5,000 to fix her hair
Also doesn't tip the technician

The hairstylist is amazingly beautiful
The stylist is beautiful and I hope
her business continues to flourish despite this client's negative review due to damage she caused herself.
She shouldn't have gotten the extensions since her hair was already raggedy & frail from previous weaves. Doesn't seem like she should be "flat orning" her hair in that state either 😂
Black women really need to stop coming to her with these hair cases she's always baffled and confused and really doesn't understand black people hair. She doesn't understand shrinkage or different textures. She doesn't understand locs and free form. Just go to regular court or a NEW HAIRSTYLIST
I'm.black and I don't know much of anything about locs.
@@JustBree716 yeah but you know about shrinkage. That blacks can have the smallest fro when their hair is dry and have length when it's wet or straighten out

Happy the defendant won
JM needs to learn more about black ppl hair! That absolutely was her hair. My hair is past my shoulders but when I wash it it’s very curly and shrinks to above my shoulders. So I’m trying to understand why JM says nobody hair does that.
well, even the defendant said that was a sew in. Like I see what you're saying, but it's hard to tell what was the truth.
@@lauraanne5175 that was that girls hair. She said she just took the sew in out her head and was flat ironing it. I believe her because most black ppl hair shrinks when it’s wet. When the defendant showed the plaintiffs hair in her video it was washed already and it didn’t even look blow dried. Hair can shrink when wet, the once blow dried stretched out and if you flat iron it it flattens the hair which makes it longer and straight. I’m js JM needs to learn about different cultures hair to do cases like this.
@@inukoko2012 I understand what you are saying and you might be right, and I feel JM was wrong with what she said...however, I am gonna listen to the expert when she says that was not all her real hair. Im white, and know how my hair can get about 2 inches longer with iron, I can not imagine how much longer black, chicks hair can get. No argument there, my friend, but still feel plaintiff was a liar
I can't imagine her hair being that straight and healthy looking then she go get dreads and it comes looking damaged even from a wash. And it was def blow dried that was not a wash and go that hair would've been packed down
@@zenobiachapman1636 you could tell I’m the picture she took in the mirror that her hair is thin as well as needs her ends clipped. I’m sorry I just believe the plaintiff as far as the picture is concerned mainly because I’m black and I know that weave and real hair looks like.
The stylist is so GORGEOUS 😍😍😍
This is why it's important to both read AND follow directions!! The site said to book a consult, and that's what the plaintiff should've done, along with communicating her allergies. The stylist should've insisted on the separate consultation and not started on her hair until she complied.
Please the Plaintiff was wearing a ponytail and that was NOT her real hair 😂
She did a great job on the clients hair it looks soo cute!
the defendant is a hard working honest women... i wish she gets justice
The defendant did a good job on her hair and I’m glad she won… Also people need to trust the process and stop starting locs with weave just enjoy the natural beautiful journey of locs…
Right! Hair grows just leave it alone and let it grow
Plaintiff needs therapy!!! 👩🏿⚖️
“You can’t tell me that when your hair is wet it gets to 9 inches shorter” That is just ignorance to Black women’s hair on JM’s part. Yes, the plaintiff was wrong, & frankly the defendant needs to sue for defamation of her business. However, shrinkage DOES work exactly like that. Sometimes it could result in the hair appearing SHORTER than even 9 inches. If the judge is gonna rule on cases like this, I think she should educate herself a bit more.
She should have done research for Locs before getting them. She destroyed her own hair. Not the stylist fault
the stylist has a beautiful spirit and her loving the work she does was evident in how far she went to help the client like her hair and manage her discomfort. I hope her business is blessed tremendously for the kindness and patience she demonstrated with someone who didnt appreciate it
The defendant is a BEAUTIFUL,KIND,CLASSY,COMPASSIONATE ,PROFESSIONAL BLACK QUEEN ,that has a passion for her talent & her career, she went above and beyond ,those bad reviews can’t stop what GOD has for you ! 💕🌸BLESSINGS
Marilyn Milian, I love her, but she is not the judge to see for hair disputes- especially black hair! She doesn’t understand it, she has no experience with it and a lot of times she gets it wrong. Maybe not for this case, but for others.
Do your research before getting a style for the first time. And let the stylist know if you have any allergies. Plaintiff did everything wrong
The defendant should sue her! The plaintiff just wants attention and made the situation worse than it was. She’s a drama queen!
My verdict is for the Defendant !
The defendant went way above and beyond trying to please the plaintiff. The plaintiff came in, didn't communicate with the defendant, and did everything she shouldn't have done to her hair. The defendant worked all those hours and, surprise defendant. she didn't tip the deendant.
The customer is a clown.
She really did a nice job. It looked great when she got it done
The stylist did a damn good job and definitely didn't deserve to be sued and bashed on social media smh. The plaintiff comes across as someone who didn't communicate well and clearly doesn't follow directions because had she booked the consultation first as instructed on the defendant's website she could have avoided a lot of problems.

The permanent locs that sis did was FIREEEE!!!!! She should have got the person who put them in to take them out! Also the person who took her style out said SHE WILL HAVE TO CUT THEM OUT!
She needs to post this court video on her website cause she definitely went beyond and above for this client
The stylist did a Wonderful job with her hair. If the client knew she had allergies to that extent she should have discussed which products would be better for her and if she would be able to get that style. Sometimes because of the products they use you would not be able to wear the style.?
She tried to get over from day 1 by not getting a consultation bye girl
I agree with the ruling, but my heart breaks for the plaintiff for the hair loss. She should have done the consult and notified about the allergy. The stylist did all she could to help the situation tbh.
disagree, she needs to learn to take accountability or stand up for herself. Not sue someone bc something bad happened to her...she LET it happen.
Quit it with the Adrian jokes, sometimes she is biased. 😢
Aww… when she cried. 😢 I love her accent too! She seems to live what she does.
The defendant seems like such a sweet person! Wishing her the best of luck in her business ❤
Yes - black hair can shrink 8 inches, but what she wanted to do was compare her hair straight to a pic of her hair in a natural state to make it seem like she loss more hair. Which is untrue. She had an allergic reaction it’s not the hair dressers fault.
That’s exactly what she tried to do. I’m glad she loss!
I’m sorry that the stylist went through all that craziness
This client need to bring her own hair, gel, spray, shampoo and everything else she needs since she’s allergic to it all. Girl bye 😳
The Judge knows nothing about BLACK HAIR. Our hair ABSOLUTELY shrinks when wet. She should not hear cases she is completely unknowable of
Yea everytime I see Black hair cases I get sad. They ALWAYS Lose. Should have taken it to Judge Mathis
*”You can’t tell me that when your hair is wet, that all of a sudden it gets to 8 or 9 inches shorter”* 🤦🏽♀️ This is why JM shouldn’t have been trying these cases, because she has NO IDEA of what extreme shrinkage looks like with 4C hair! YES! Her hair could most definitely appear 8, 9, etc., inches shorter when wet, but trying to explain shrinkage to a non-Black person is 😵💫. Watch a dang CZcams video, and you will be *astounded!* Her hair could literally be sitting above her shoulders unstretched, and then be to the middle of her back when straightened/stretched. Another example, if the defendant’s hair is her natural hair, I guarantee you that if she were to flatiron it, it could easily hit right above her tailbone. That’s just the nature of extreme shrinkage, and if you don’t understand that, and you’re not willing to educate yourself, then you shouldn’t be trying these types of cases. 🤷🏽♀️
With all of that being said, the plaintiff is a nutty, nightmare client who needs to grow up, and do a better job of communicating. No one is going to put in that amount of work for free simply because YOU failed to make them aware of an “allergy”, and if you felt that she put in too many locs, you should have said so then. Counting them later has nothing to do with the LOOK, because if they looked fine to you at the time of the service, then they were fine, regardless of the count.
Most hair stylists want to do their best work for their clients. Thats why they usually do a consultation and see if your hair is too damaged, and she should have said her skin is very sensitive. I wouldnt have took her as a client.
lol @ “Go ahead and go public. I already did enough with this hair.” That’s right girl! I feel that.
Midway through...the defendant seems honest, sincere and professional. There is no case against her.
The loctitian is beautiful!!
she told me to smile. lmao
Locs used to be for people who understood the journey of growing your own hair and celebrating your natural hair 🙄.
The defendant is SPARKLING/GLOWING!
She should have bought her own hair because that synthetic hair will definitely aggravate a scalp allergy. Hopefully the locs the plaintiff has now will work out for her.
