So obvious but the US & EU are truly blind to the violence, chaos, and wake of warfare, poverty, and NO INFRASTRUCTURE by the Western colonial extractors. I think Dag Hammarskjöld, the UN secretary-general from April 1953 to September 1961, paid with his life. The Swedish diplomat, economist and highly respected diplomat, wanted to use the UN to help small & poor countries. The US and United Kingdom hated his agenda and intentions. That’s what the unilaterally written UN Charter (by US after WWII) stated but not how the US behaves in the UN. They swore that they would NEVER support such a great man to lead the UN ever again. How did his plane crash while on a peace mission to the Congo? Motives? Was it an accident or an assassination by Western powers?

This is a transfer of technology for natural resources to Africa from a foreign country, making the host countries dependent on China. That's bad because the host country citizens will become lazy and stop developing. With China doing everything for Africa is bad, people will be poor and having many babies, causing overpopulation. What Africa needs is good education, not free handout and loans.

China has given African Countries AI Smart Robotic Trading Ports (land, air and/or sea) and have built national freeways for the African Countries to delivery the goods to their cities and villages. African Countries, for the first time in over 100 years of USA and West abuse, are finally seeing hundreds of millions of their citizens moving from poverty to Middle Class life styles, and are talking about a United Africa.
So ... why does USA and the West think they can convince African Countries to keep following them ... when USA and the West were the only countries making profits out of the African Countries resources and citizens labour?

How dare the west be such a hypocrite? The term "debt trap" was used on loans that small poor countries find hard to repay that the IMF, World Bank or western financial institutions. The conditions placed on these poor nations are harsh and even 'force' them to list their national assets as collaterals. Many poor countries are caught in this western 'debt trap'.
And then came China and its loans with conditions that're much more humane. And any poor countries finding it hard to fulfill their repayments will have the understanding Chinese institutions re-structure their repayment plans making it easier to repay. Many flock to take on the Chinese loans and the western banks are feeling the heat. So, they make up false narratives to smear Chinese loans and divert the debt trap term onto China. Of course, the African nations know best as they had been bullied by the western financial institutions and know the benefits of taking Chinese loans.

History plays essential role in development of any country. Why Africans have remained poor for at least a couple of hundred years, and earlier since colonialism started by Spain, Britain and others of the West. Africans were treated as a nation of disposal slaves sold and bought. This is the ugly past still forgotten or underplayed today.
Most poverty in Africa was man made by the colonists.
In comparison China has had no history of colonialism nor capture of local Africans traded as slaves. It has a history of dire poverty as bad as African nations experienced were caused by internal corruption and wars often now referred as “a century of humiliation”.
The colonists in Africa were plundering their wealth without proportional Investment programs to the African nations they plunder. Or nothing treating Africans as disposable slaves. Presently this is how Israel and the West is subjecting Palestinians to ugly genocides.
In comparison, China has elevated hundreds of millions out of poverty within a single generation whilst U.S. population are experiencing widespread rise in poverty in recent decades with declining lifespan expectancy. US politicians were and are starving its population with unnecessary higher budgetary cuts in domestic investment, trying to maintain hundreds of innumerable military bases trying to to exert and now declining worldwide hegemony.
Also led by U.S. politicians preaching its brand of useless predatory democracy.

The IMF and the world bank is just a death trap for African nations, how many years those institutions have been given aid to African countries and Africa is still undeveloped, why is that, it's because they are giving the aid directly to corrupt officials who in turn a blind eye to the outside force that just rape their country of the resources

  • @sktan3743

African leaders are not stupid to know what their countries needs are and who are sincere to help them. The entire African continent is colonized by the West and despite its rich resources, it remains poor and undeveloped. China gave them hope and they have seen the benefits of China many infrastructure projects.
Had it not for China, the West regard Africa to be exploited for their colonial interest. Africa must not make the wrong choice who are friends and who are chocking their development by withholding funding.

@@loktom4068 Many Americans, influenced by images in the television mini-series "Roots," mistakenly believe that most slaves were captured by Europeans who landed on the African coast and captured or ambushed people. While Europeans did engage in some slave raiding, the majority of people who were transported to the Americas were enslaved by other Africans. It is important to understand that Europeans were incapable, on their own, of kidnapping 20 million Africans. Indeed, the system became so institutionalized that Europeans had little contact with the actual process of enslavement.
How were people actually enslaved? Most slaves in Africa were captured in wars or in surprise raids on villages. Adults were bound and gagged and infants were sometimes thrown into sacks. One of the earliest first-hand accounts of the African slave trade comes from a seamen named Gomes Eannes de Azurara, who witnessed a Portuguese raid on an African village. He said that some captives "drowned themselves in the water; others thought to escape by hiding under their huts; others shoved their children among the seaweed."
The overwhelming majority of slaves sold to Europeans had not been slaves in Africa. They were free people who were captured in war or were victims of banditry or were enslaved as punishment for certain crimes. In Senegambia, the Guinea Coast, and the Slave Coasts of West Africa, war was the most important source of slaves. In Angola, kidnapping and condemnation for debt were very important. In most cases, rulers or merchants were not selling their own subjects, but people they regarded as alien. We must remember that Africans did not think of themselves as Africans, but as members of separate nations.

Developing nations, particularly those in Africa, must assert their autonomy in making decisions that prioritize the well-being and advancement of their citizens. Since the Berlin Conference of 1885, also known as the Scramble for Africa, the actions of Western powers have inflicted a level of harm upon the African continent that surpasses even the horrors of the Holocaust. European colonizers are responsible for the deaths of over 40 million African people, not to mention the countless others who were enslaved, traded, or perished as captives. The United States itself was built on the backs of enslaved Africans. The time has now arrived for Africa to assert its rightful claim to self-determination. Nations such as Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have already taken steps in this direction, and it is imperative that others follow suit by rejecting the influence of the West and their proxy leaders.

On the other hand the Chinese are business people , their aim is create middle class markets in Africa, for their products and eventually moving their production here....WB loans profits the US and its minions , because they force African countries to part with their Natural resources at very small amounts to cover their debts....So basically the WEST gains interests from their loans as well as Natural resources at very low price , which again mined by western companies.

Are you complaining about China China's building something which is long-term invested in construction is fundamental because most of the African countries they have no infrastructure like for example Nigeria where Russia is going to build a nuclear power plant and its uranium will come from Russia will be there uranium owned by Nigeria we need the basic stuff like a soap factory cement factory they need the salt factory you know which is not expensive to do it but people do not have you need to have a commercial bakery with the good grain and do the natural Way East they need the brewery you know to make beer they will buy the cops from from Europe or maybe certain parts of Africa also can make it because 80% of global health market I'll think I will be rich but the Russian Bella was have to give them engineering education so the elite training universities engineering schools can train older engineers education process take 10 years means 10 years to have educated workforce and Russia China and Russia China and

I am an African American, and I have done research on how European and American politics and institutions have held Africa back. deliberately, to take advantage of all their resources. Under the guise of bringing democracy. Africa has lots of issues due to Europe and the Debit trap by western nations. So who is worse, western nations only want to exploit Africa, to sustain their economies. They never cared about infrastructure in Africa, only how they could keep using Africa, and keep them poor and dependent on them. So finally Africa has an alternative, China, who has its own agenda as well. But at least they are working to build Africa with all the billions of dollars going toward, infrastructure. And I hope that they will also help with Educating African children by building more institutions of learning.
