- “Falling Down” is an alternate version of the song “Sunlight On Your Skin” by Lil Peep and iLoveMakonnen. This version instead features XXXTENTACION and was made after Lil Peep’s death. The song was released by the label, Columbia Records.
iLoveMakonnen, who was featured on the original version of the song, said on his Instagram that he was “honored to have co-written this song that X was inspired to be a part of, shortly before he died”.
XXXTENTACION’s mother alluded to the song’s release the day before and even announced that both her and Peep’s mother teamed up for the release.

Even tho people hated falling down, I think it made total sense to release, both artists had died at that point, one of them recorded over a song the other person already made, why wouldn't you release it as a tribute to both of them? Makes total sense to me and pays respect to both of them

The saddest part is that likely the only recordings of this were done before the song was finished and then he passed away. He never got the chance to record them again even if he wanted. Crazy
They kinda did because at the end verse if u really turn it up u can slightly hear x’s vocals which is a cool addition but i wish they would have added it as a main verse

i’ve always seen their deaths as a sign to put petty beefs to rest. think about it. ski and x were beefing (but then reunited) before his death but then trippie and x were beefing up after his death. tracy and peep never got a chance to settle their issues either. x and peep were extremely alike in many ways.
