There's no need to ring chase when you're already a 4x champion. Ring chasing is for people who couldn't get it done
Exactly
Agree 💯 he already has 4 rings this is not Karl Malone and Gary Payton joining the Lakers late in their careers to try to get a championship because they couldn't get it done with the Utah Jazz and Seattle Supersonics
@@regal394 it’s not ring chasing, it’s still trying to compete for championships. Y’all never played a sport in yall lives. Who tf wants to play just to lose? Y’all can’t praise MJ for being an all time competitor and also criticize players who’s competitors lol
@@maccdinopodcast9233 it's the definition of ring chasing
@@maccdinopodcast9233 I agree with your overall point but it's still called ring chasing lol
Rob wants to criticize great players for not winning while staying with a bad team and criticize great players for going to another team because the management/ownership is bad. Make up your mind goofy
I Hear U Rob but sum Great Player's just Still have that Dog in them,, its a Highly Athletic Competitive "Natural Response & Reaction" From very Skilled Henchmen so to speak of their Profession a Craft..He's Got ALL the Money in the world I'd like to see him take his bow & Retire & move on to Whatever his Heart & Mind Desires.
he's also basing his counter argument on championships. There's a huge difference between title winners and uncompetitive bottom feeder. I thought he sounded like he wants to be making playoffs, not he expects to be winning titles
Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in one game at Polk High!
The GOAT.
Forealz
That’s amazing 💯🏈
That's it? 4 touchdowns today is normal. Ask Mahomes.
And nobody ever brings him up.
Stephen Curry has 4 rings with the Warriors, dawg.
Now the organization is stuck in limbo. So if Steph wants to leave and chase number 5, he’s earned that right.
All free agents earned that right.
He also has the opportunity to prove he can lead the team far without other prime top players..I don't think it'll happen tho
@@luckycarter536stupid comment. Who leads teams to chips without other great players? Smh. This is not a logical argument at all
This boils down to Rob not wanting steph to team up with Bron and AD. Lets be honest here 😂
I don't want Steph to team up with Bron and AD, he's won 4 chips and owns the Warriors, he should stay home 😊
Facts
Why would he be worried about something that's impossible?
These dudes are so hypocritical and bias. Lebron could never get away with not making the Playoffs in his last 5 years of his career.
I would love to hear Rob say the same thing about Lebron… “it’s okay missing the playoffs the last couple of years”
If he didnt win the last championship i would've said he should leave to have a better chance to compete. But after winning that championship its not worth it to leave.
It absolutely is if he is still playing at an elite level and the Warriors front office is just wasting his time by trying to rebuild.
Steph should stay in GS. He carried and gave the franchise life. 4 rings 2 MVPs 1 final MVPs in the same place.
Only 1 finals mvp
@@nickgaincle u right meant to correct it
@nickgaincle right...that one FMVP let's you know he ain't CARRY anything. Great teams every year made them successful
@@luckycarter536take Steph off them teams and see what they would have won.
@@Qjags2 mediocre or bottom feeders
No Steph Needs to Stay he needs to be the Kobe, Dirk and Duncan staying with 1 Team!! He Will get another Ring!!! 💯
Stop including Kobe..he showed he tried to leave more than once
This man literally contradicts himself all the time. Bron is being criticized in year 20 for not winning by the same guy that’s saying winning doesn’t matter later in your year lol Rob is terrible
Rob just doesn’t want to see LeBron or Steph win again because he hates them lol
Bron is different. He's a mercenary. Steph is the Derek Jeter type. It does not enhance his legacy to go somewhere else.
@@KNByamyes it does if he goes and wins lmao you sound dumb
@@KNByam bron is the goat then if he’s measured differently
To me its sentimental Steph needs to stay in one team. Thats more legacy than another ring. Lebron is different its his trademark to just bounce team to team as he wishes.
Curry does not need to pad his resume any more, but if he reaches the point where he wants to leave Golden State, that's on Warriors management. If he leaves, he has to accept that he'll be a hired gun and likely the additional piece to an established roster. Additionally, it will be hard to find a team that will spend willingly to get Steph as a rental and risk hitting the second apron, or still have enough pieces after trading for him. He'll have to get a buyout and sign for the minimum or midlevel. Nope, there's just too much incentive for Steph to stay in San Francisco, the Warriors are likely not done with their offseason moves.
Staying with one team your whole career is overrated
Lebron has AD and they are play in team
Goes to show you it take more then 2 people to win in today’s game
Ham is a criminal. Stole millions of dollars. Guarantee they’ll be better this year if they stay healthy
Steph should stay but I wouldn’t be mad to see him team up with some new guys but it would be great to see him on just 1 team his whole career
Nah leave the team hopping ring chasing to the phony GOAT Lebron.
Curry has nothing left to prove. The only dynasty of the decade built on top of Lebron's losing.
Kobe didn’t make the playoffs his last 3 yrs… Come on rob
Exactly and what does that change about his legacy? Jordan missed the playoffs with the wizards is he still not the goat?
@@itsmeflacko1618no but that’s not his fault lol
@@itsmeflacko1618- No. LeBron is.
the last 4 and didnt win a playoff series after 32
Kobe and Michael already had 5+ rings
I agree with the old school idea to stay with the team he built a legacy with. But... if his desire to be competitive is still burning then let him have that right.
@@chicagoopportunity2963 that’s what the non athlete writers don’t get. Players are competitive and it’s not about team hopping to team it’s about trying to compete and not play for a lottery selection
@maccdinopodcast9233 exactly. And now that I think about it more, it's also about self pride. A guy who's worked his way to a top team doesn't want to demote himself to a scrub team. Similar to how these superstars end up getting demoted to bench players. Curry seems like he might have enough gumption to threaten retirement before he plays on a team that is not serious about winning.
Old school idea? 😂😂
@DrPhill96 yes its an old-fashioned idea. This new age thinks it's a flex to win championships on different teams. And maybe it is. But to me, it just seems less organic when you jump from team to team trying to piece together a winning combo for 1-off championships.
@@chicagoopportunity2963 - Older players did not always have free agency, so they cried to get traded. They had ZERO power and had to endure horrible management and teams. If those players played today, they would use their powers.
Grow up and out of the home phone and cassette deck era.
Steph with Wimby would be crazy.
Kobe didn't make the playoffs his last 3 years(one of which he only played 4 games) not 6. Rob always says that and no one ever corrects him, people just love hating on Kobe smh...
Not that people love hating on Kobe. His fans are very vocal about overrating him and we just have to bring them down to earth
@@kefkapalazzo1 Bring him back to earth with lies? Really?
@@kefkapalazzo1 overrating the 2nd greatest shooting guard and greatest Laker... U aren't making any sense
@@keysersoze6506 I am making sense you’re just not the brightest guy. He’s not the greatest laker ever and sure he’s the second best sg but he’s very arguably not top 10 all time and people like to say he’s in the same league as mj or lebron. Just delusion
@@marlowstanfield6815 wow. Kobe Stan can’t read. Whodathunkit?
Why is that all of these modern basketball stars require so much help?? Yeah. The franchise should build the team with good players that can compete. But what I don’t understand is why is it that these super stars need other super stars to help them??
Because historically that is what it takes. Other great players. Every single one of Celtics and lakers chips and most other franchises too. There are outliers, but 99% of the time that's how it is. You need to have comparable talent. Even if none of you are the top guy, everybody can be really great like celtics😂😂
Rob would rip him if he did
There is a difference between always scheming to form super teams and team hopping every five years of your career to Steph maybe changing once at the end to play for a last title. That being said I like consistency in the nba. I like fans growing up rooting for certain stars and long term contracts with no trade clauses that allow players to stay long term and build a foundation for their lives on which they can grow old and raise families.
That being said it’s funny as hell these guys always wanting Bron to get one more but when Steph has a chance to get one more, they’re like “no relax it’s okay. You don’t need another one! Just be mediocre!” They really don’t want anyone surpassing their idol lebron.🤣
Ring chasing is only wack to me if you’re no longer good and you’re just trynna get on a team and that can win it all but if you’re still good and can contribute to winning I don’t mine the ring chase
Yeah, why not contend and play competitive, relevant basketball if you still can?
How is what Steph said, putting his foot in his mouth? It was a logical perspective from him on his future.
Wilt was a stat passer. If you do everything for the team then they don't get experience having to carry the team. It's a team sport. Wilt shouldn't have been trying to score all the points. Then where are your teammates in the playoffs when you need them. They are looking at you to do everything. That's not winning basketball.
The only reason why Rob Parker wants Stephen Curry to stay, is so he can continue to criticize him for not being able to carry the warriors.
" if he's the greatest shooter of all time Chris.? Then why...? why can't he carry them to a Western Conference Finals Chris, can you answer that.??"
💯
Agree with the guy at 13:45 heavy. Just putting a little pressure at least for now. And I definitely think klay not being there hurts too much
Rob, of course there is no. Steph is saying if the Warriors absolutely have no chance he’d rather play somewhere where he’d at least have a chance.
I never understood why sports fans want people to be loyal when the teams arent. It would have been one thing if they let him ride out with his boys. They correctly made a financial decion for the best of their team and owners pocket. Great job. Now i can move on for my own benefit.
So is it ok to win 4 rings in 22 years or not Rob I’m confused. Yes or no?
If you claim to be the GOAT then no it’s not good enough.
@@blaketindle4703 ok so if your the goat it’s not good but if your just a regular superstar it’s ok right?
@@jasonbecke yes.. do you know what goat means? The expectations are different
@@bjrowland25 so he is the goat then because if he wasn’t people would be like wow 4 rings is great
@@jasonbecke he definitely has a goat case and should be in the conversation. Not the goat to me but if he is to you then that’s cool.
Yes because i want him to forever walk into the room and have one more than Lebron.
People need to realize we all get to write our own story. If You become the greatest shooter of all time, chances are you have a hunger for greatness the “Rob Parker’s of the world” will never understand.
Since when has greatness been team hopping?
Rob “I get all that” Parker
Curry is not saying he need to win a championship. He’s saying he want the chance to win a championship. And if it’s looking like they not even trying to put the players around him. Then he will think about leaving
STOP saying “Ring chase”
THEY PLAY TO WIN
I hate that term because it makes no sense
Yea it really doesn’t players wanna win and be great hence why I don’t understand why KD gets so much hate for what he did he wanted to win what’s wrong with wanting to win?
Rob said let's make way for Antonio Daniels😂 he really meant everybody turn your headset down a little bit😂😂😂😂 my boy be having ENERGY
It was the last 3 years
He said ..”Eli couldn’t shine Marino’s shoes”.

He's not wrong. Dan Marino held the record for passing yards for more than 30 years.
He ain’t have to put it like THAT tho’.

It’s funny when Chris and or Rob mention Kobe they always misrepresent him almost on purpose. You guys pose to know this stuff if not don’t speak on it and misinform the viewers.
What?
Rob,
Keep that same energy when talking about Lebron!!
The point Rob is missing is that its about leaving for the OPPORTUNITY to win instead of staying somewhere you know you wont win, and Steph is still playing at a very high level its not like kobe or dirk where they had diminished. He owes it to himself to maximize his career and we the fans deserve to see great players in important games.
Marino is great and a legend but he was not a winner whether it’s his fault or not. But winning is important to separate the best of all time especially QBs
Solidified
Kobe was apart of 7 finals in the 2000s and win 5
But he had Shaq yes but when he finally took control he won more without him slot of ppl overlook that
So for Kobe missing 5 playoffs to end his career is not a huge stain especially with the type of teammates he had
Kobe didn't miss the playoffs his last 5 years, he only missed the playoffs his last 3 years, one of which in the 2014 season he only played 6 games. Rob always says that it was 5 or 6 and no one on this show ever corrects him, they just love hating on Kobe..smh

Steph has nothing to gain by going to other teams to win. So what if he wins 1-3 more championships on other teams, I don’t think it would change how we thought of his place in history or his legacy.
Rob, ya’ll the ones that’s always ranking players against each others careers. Dirk got ONLY 1 championship. Being with 1 team doesn’t mean anything to these players. Only to the fans!
Rob is so focused on “there’s no guarantee that he’ll win”. Well there’s no guarantee that he’ll lose either. What if he can go somewhere and actually win. GSW had its run. If he wanted to test the waters then why not? He still plays at a pretty high level.
What do you mean if not Kerr then who SPO is right there on the bench
Wilt chamberlain won 2 titles and he destroyed Russell when they played but Russell played with 8 hall of famers
Go to San Antonio! Steph has three good years left in him. The Spurs could be contenders by then.
8:07 facts ppl forget tom did it with deion branch and troy brown two receivers under 6 ft no tight end at the time but his line was immaculent do much so family guy made a spoof of brady doing a bunch a stuff in the pocket just b4 throwing the ball lol
Curry does not have to sit there and waste his last years if GS doesn’t want to compete. Nobody at that level wants to play empty/ghost ball.
Curry to the Lakers
Agree trade Lebum and get Curry.
My boy Rob is high lol. Just because Jeter n kobe stayed on the same team and accepted losing doesn't mean somebody else should do the same thing lol
Btw kobe tried to leave the lakers just didn't trade him
Why whenever I turn on this show they are always shots at KD. He has been playing on one leg and still is top 5 to 7 each year for the last 5 years. Have some respect and slow down with your feelings.
The Media, social media, and us as fans are the issue when it comes to this topic. We have put so much stock into in who should win and tear down players when they fail to win each year. It’s easy for Rob to say, you don’t have to win every year, but in the same breath drag that same player through the mud when they don’t. An example is Paul Pierce said he is not surprised that LeBron has been dominate and thinks he still may be the best player in the league. That’s ridiculous. Paul knows this is not normal. But it’s also ammunition so if Lebron does lose, he can say Lebron should win. Players today are just in a lose-lose situation.
These guys act like Kobe didnt demand a trade or Jordan demand certain players or Jordan leave as soon as the bulls were no longer commited to winning and getting rid of players and unwilling to pay come on..
I remember the Clippers being a strong suitor for Kobe at one point.
Idk about ring chasing lol even next season he’ll probably be a top 5 player
Rob just hates Steph so bad damn stop making a big deal out of what he said it's not that deep he never said he was leaving relax if this was Aaron Rogers you would agree with him 🙄
ok, that makes sense as he is also making it sound like Steph said winning titles when he said he doesnt want to be a "bottom feeder"
Commas are free and available.
If podz stays consistent jK keeps getting better and Wiggins get his powers back the warriors are contenders but okc Memphis wolves it’s there time🤝
It's about time a Lebron hater in the media spoke the truth about Kobe.
U thinking players not wanting to be held accountable by a great player as a teammate is a knock is LeBron Stan logic
@@keysersoze6506 you don't get it. Haters like Rob Parker have criticized LeBron for years, claiming players don't want to play with Lebron. Don't just call out one all-time great and excuse another.

The truth is Kobe was a rapist. Kobe Bryant Colorado 2003

Curry has been loyal to the same team his entire career, nobody would blame him if he joined a contender to try and win more rings. Isn't the purpose of the league to win titles after all?
Bron played for 3 franchises and all of them were bottom-feeders before he got there, and he won titles with all of them.

This is a make or break season for them. Not Jerry, only difference is Cee-Dee but maybe it's because of the control they have on him either way.
