I don't know much about the Pikmin lore beyond seeing some game play in passing, and to my understanding, you play as tiny alien humanoids exploring a planet that has a ton of very earthly objects out in garden like settings, that all look rather fresh still.
Does this imply that the Planet is Earth but like...recently irradiated and abandoned?

@@lilpetz500 2 really important spoiler aspects. Pikmin 1 and 4 take place in alternate timelines, since Olimar has his first journey in both. Pikmin 2 and 3 also seem to take place after the first point in the series. I think Pikmin 4 is probably a much safer environment, possibly just left after humans got intergalactic space travel, since Oatchi is either from Earth or has Earth Dog Genetics, like Moss, despite being like 20 generations removed through Captain Shepard. I think it really does depend which version of PNF 404 someone would be on, since each one has different traces of humanity and different conditions

    So uh... About pikmin...
In the first game, it's sorta implied that humanity was wiped out due to nuclear warfare, and that there's still a lot of radiation in the area (explaining the weirdly mutated creatures)
So uh, everything would seem fine for a while, but you'd probably start to notice some unfortunate side effects of living in the pikmin universe after some time

It's safe to assume that Peachs Castle contains restrooms, kitchens, a dining hall, and plenty of other facilities we don't see in the games.
It's established that the Mushroom Kingdom is at a modern level of technology and would have electricity and indoor plumbing. In some games Peach uses air travel; she probably has cars and carts to use at her castle.
From Mario & Luigi Partners in Time we know her castle has a throne room, library, gardens, guest rooms, even a gift shop. Inside Story shows a conference room. Paper Mario visits the treasury.
The classic Mario 64 lets you explore some fun secret passages. There's even a slide! We also see the gorgeous foyer, the courtyard, and the cool clock on floor three.
Some of the painting worlds may be fun to visit if you're careful and avoid hostile wildlife. A swim in Jolly Roger Bay. A chiliy walk in Snowmans Land. Picnic on Tall, Tall Mountain.
In the majority of Mario media, her castle adjoins Toadtown, so you would be nearby a small town for groceries and things to do.

I realized that if you shift the perspective from a bunch of goofy gods to regular humans, Kid Icarus Uprising might be Nintendo's darkest game. Starts off with your standard fare of war with the Underworld, complete with armies headed by dark lords led by a vindictive goddess. Then a world war breaks out. Then nature itself goes full genocide against humanity and starts dropping nukes everywhere. Then aliens show up and start ravaging the planet. Then as soon as the aliens leave, the one deity in humanity's favor decides she wants everyone dead too for no reason, and there's no one left to defend them for 3 years. You get a firsthand look at the passage of souls in the afterlife, and there's a torrent of dead there to rival the ending of Smash Ultimate. Oh, and your soul is going to either be eaten by Satan or crafted into a monster, so odds are you aren't getting an afterlife or reincarnation.

Samus puts herself through hell so the rest of the galaxy doesn’t have to. At the beginning of Super, Samus states that "the galaxy is at peace", so we should believe her that that is mostly the case, save for a few space pirate skirmishes, but hey, the galaxy is vast. And most of the significant threats that Samus encounters are ones that she nips in the bud for the sake of the galaxy. 1. I’d see myself settling down in post-Twilight era Hyrule. (completely leaving FSA out of the equation because timeline debate…) An era of that specific timeline so far into the future (present day) that Hyrule is starting to know more about the world beyond the land; Mushroom Kingdom, DK Isles, etc. but still retains its medieval-like traditions and its ideals of morality. Any monster I might encounter, that’s what guns are for.
    2. I’d see myself having a vacation in the Mushroom Kingdom; taking in the Mario Kart series’ locations and completely ignoring the affairs between Mario and Bowser… Mario Golf: Super Rush had an interesting concept of bringing the Miis to settle down in Mario locations and coexisting “Bowser’s minions” and Toads… (too bad that was implemented into an underwhelming game…)
    3. Inkopolis and Splatsville; while I’d definitely take a vacation in Inkopolis, but would not rule out Splatsville; despite the latter being known as the “city of chaos,” it’s the polar opposite of what I was expecting, so it’s okay too (just don’t piss off Deep Cut; I love Deep Cut!)
    4. I wouldn’t mind going to any region of Pokémon, but the Kanto region is so nostalgic. I wouldn’t interact with wild Pokémon unless one wants to befriend me.
    5. Popstar is one I would just visit. I’d just pray to God that my visit there doesn’t turn into a disaster when an otherworldly force suddenly invades the planet out of nowhere and without warning.
    6. Smash HQ; just ignore everything you’ve seen in Subspace and WOL; all of that was just filmed because Smash wanted cinematics just for show; Smash has a massive headquarters and wide array of tourist attractions. I participate in Smash rounds casually and get along with my favorite fighters; Princess Zelda seeks me out to practice with her; I already earned her trust. We’re BFFs! She, Mewtwo, and I always have a get-together with other fighters! She even invites me to one of her retreats.

It's just that I think most people including most splatoon fans don't realize that there is some kind of r*cism in splatoon world, but I'm super nerd so I want to talk about it + I know no one asked. )
In fact, the big run is not the problem, because in the days before each big run is about to happen, every time you turn on the TV, the news and locations of the upcoming big run will be played, and more obviously, the sky will turn RED until The big run is over. I guess that's enough of a warning to not go to where the big run is about to happen. What worries me is the r*cism in splatoon...
*SPOILER ALERT* If you are trying to understand the plot of splatoon yourself, please do not read the following information.
Basically, the world of Splatoon is set in a future where all mammals (except 2 cats) have become extinct, leaving only evolved sea creatures. The two playable races, Octoling and Inkling, are the one who finally evolved into humanoid forms. A long time ago. There was a huge war (turf war) between these two races, and whoever lost had to live underground, and then in this war the Octoling lost and were forced to leave the surface. But why can the player choose Octoling and Inkling at the same time? This is because 1. Octoling has been away from the surface for too long. It's like unicorn to Ink, and everyone thinks it is impossible to exist on the surface. 2. Inkling is too innocent and pure. They only want to have fun, and they care more about enjoying the moment, trends and fashion. 3. “Would it be rude to bother someone just because they look a little different?”
    *End of spoiler warning*
Because of this plot reason, I think that if I exist there as a human, there is a certain possibility of being felt left out. They probably won't treat me differently, and there is a high chance they will think I'm cool. And most not humanoid form have their own life in the splatoon world. But after all I'm still a mammal not a squid. I know this sounds a bit too serious and pessimistic, but if I need to really live there, I may feel too out of place to live anywhere near advanced town life. Survive? I guess. Happy? can not be so sure. So I do not think It will be better than ACNH world cause there are other human living there.
After typing this much, I realized that I really wrote too much but decided to post it anyway. Maybe it's weird to have such a long comment, but I feel like it's a shame to write so much and not post it. I don't know what is driving me much as I write this, but I feel it is autism

Here's the ultimate question... would you survive a Fire Emblem game? Considering how they all take place during wars and entire cities get burned down, that would be a difficult endeavor. No one appears to have WMDs, but there are evil magic users and creatures to worry about. If I'm living in Classic Mode, once the soldiers who defend my community die, they don't respawn like heroes in other games. Considering that many battles take place in residential areas, if I don't evacuate in time, I'm screwed. What if I sleep in that day? I'd have to hope the good guys get to my house mid-battle before the bad guys to rescue me.
B tier because people do survive wars in real life with weapons that are far more deadly.

I'm in the same survival category as you in everything except Tears of the Kingdom. There are actually much safer places to be than Lookout Landing. I think I'd probably be pretty safe if I lived in Hateno. And once the game's storyline is over, the lore pretty strongly implies that all the monsters will cease to exist- either they would all despawn immediately, or they just won't be resurrected by the blood moon anymore, which means that Link and other experienced fighters would be able to wipe them out. Even if that didn't happen and the monsters were still out there, I could live in one of the main cities pretty safely. Ganon attacks only seem to have gaps of hundreds or thousands of years between them.

Living in the Pokemon world would be quite dangerous. Gengar is a ghost that has evolved to hunt people and you are not safe anywhere and everything evaporates near Slugma and Macargo. The world's animals, Pokemon, have elemental powers anyway, like the squirrel (Pikachu) shoots electric shocks of thousands of volts while some are able to influence the local weather. In addition, there are many people (such as the corporation and evil teams) who want to ruthlessly use the abilities and powers of Pokemon, for example, in Hoenn, Team Aqua wants to sink the whole world. And the culture of the Pokemon world has developed entirely around dog and cockfighting, for example in Galar this has developed into a sport that is contested in arenas, while elsewhere there are gyms.

I think size, special properties or rules matter a bit in some of those. Like, in Mario or Animal Crossing all would be fine and dandy since they're human-sized and feature overall very nicely guarded and liveable places.
Kirby is kinda small, like, he's barely half the size of a traffic cone going by Forgotten Land's proportions. That would mean that a lot of the enemies that just headbutt or bump Kirby to death probably aren't a threat, but the armed ones, tank-sized ones, and the reality-shattering beings could be kind of a pain.
Paper Mario, at least 1, TYD and Super (which are the ones I played and know more of), are supposedly Pop-up Books. I don't think you can interact with them aside from just opening and closing the book. Tho the real-life objects in Origami King do pose a question, "What if the whole world was now the Book?". Granted while the objects do imply that the citizens are still very small, likely not posing any threat whatsoever, I think either you'd die due to your weight drilling a bottomless hole into the carton ground/floor, or just starve and thirst to death since food and water are also paper. At least you wouldn't be missing toilet paper.
Pretty much everyone in Pokemon is a trainer and has a few mons around, it's a cheap and handy lifestyle. The cities and villages are very safe for the most part, unless an evil group tries to stir up something. So I guess if you can find a job in your local town you can just live there with no worries. Traveling somewhere else with anything other than a train, ship, plane or flying mon would be extremely dangerous, however. Even if you strip away the horror inducing tidbits lurking on the Pokedex and just base your expectations on the various wild mons basic descriptions, you'd still be left with a vast array of super fast predators, poisonous beasts of every flavour, bulky and aggressive territorial monsters of every size, and of course, natural hazzard incarnates that can go nuts in the blink of an eye. I still think it's mostly safe, since for the most part the monsters tend to prioritize other monsters more often, so if you have a buddy out they can protect you, and they never seem to die from fights, only faint. Legends Arceus tho...

On that comment about Splatoon lore I have two things to say.
1 : You almost got it fully right, what happenned is that a world war broke out, all humans died but not all of them at once. Most of them died from the flood that happenned because of a nuke that melted the north pole but a few of them survived for like, a year or something. The group that survived tempered with weird science and accelerated evolution happened to all of the sea wildlife.
2 : I'd be willing to bet you need deodorant more than Splatoon lore lovers do. Take back your insult and I'll do as well, thank you and goodbye.
