- A former manager at McDonald’s is accused of getting a teenage worker pregnant. He is a registered sex offender. Investigators say Jamira Sampson worked for a McDonald’s in Loganville. Channel 2′s investigative reporter Mark Winne spoke exclusively with the victim’s mom who is suing the fast food restaurant.

@big daddy diesel Disagree. We have a fucked up justice system. I have an uncle who is a registered sex offender because when he was 19, he had a 17 year old gf. The parents didn't like my uncle, so they reported him and got him arrested, and he went to prison. I don't think it's fair that a two year age gap fucked him over as much as it has.
Edit: I will add that it certainly depends on the crime. Some absolutely do need to be locked up forever, but I don't like blanket statements.

I had this same problem when I was 14, I was working for Little Caesar's. At first I was able to deal with it. But then it started getting worse, so I quit. My dad asked me why I quit, I told him. My father was a cop at that time. Just put it this way, they guy no longer worked there and I never saw him again.

This is why my kids will never work as a minor. It's pretty weird having minors around strange 35 year old men without parental supervision, multiple times per week.
I got my first job at 16. I worked at subway and nearly never had anybody else working with me, except on the weekend and they were my age.
I got my next job at 17 (because subway was too far) at McDonald's and everybody but the manager was 16-18 years old... the manager was a woman

This is one of the reasons I try and caution my daughter before she starts working. I'm terrified for her and what she may have to endure. All she's thinking about is making money and I'm happy in that retrospect but as a mom, I worry for her safety.
Caution your daughter how? She's going to work. It's not like she's in the wrong place doing things she's not supposed to.

She has every right to look out for her daughter, and making sure she's not getting into things that are either dangerous, illegal, or deplorable. When the news mentioned age of consent, they should've pointed out that age of consent in Georgia where the sexual abuse took place in is 16. Naturally, this would be statutory rape, but since this is about a 15-year-old juvenile being groomed and impregnated by a monstrous predator, this doesn't apply as the girl wasn't even 16 when this happened. Even then, 16-year-olds at best are still minors until they turn 18 (when they become young adults). I do prey that the individual involved in impregnating a 15-year-old gets locked up for a very long time and receives a slap to the face in addition to that.

When I was in college I worked at McDonalds. A male co-worker was touchy-feely. I ended up quitting. I decided that because the woman manager handled the situation appropriately that I wasn’t going to sue so I didn’t. Young women need to have this discussion with their parents about workplace harassment and how to handle it before they start working. That way they are never taken advantage of.

I worked as a teenager and thank goodness I was safe. This is very scary for young adults.
I was harassed by 2 of my supervisors and other male employees when I was 16 years old. One sat in my lap and said, “That’s what happens when you sit in my chair.” There was only ONE chair in the office. Other times he spoke out loud about my body. Another married supervisor, solicited me for a relationship. After I refused, he put me in bathroom duty every time we were on the same schedule.
I ultimately quit because of the environment. I never told anyone because I didn’t realize it was harassment. I thought I could handle it by “ignoring” them. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I realized it was sexual harassment.
If they are still around its never too late to tell your story..people will listen start on SM to get the S harrasment out on each of them

In most states if you get caught taking a leak outside no matter the time or location you are placed on the SO list. I just didn’t know if you knew that or not. So it is possible to be placed on that list if you are an Amazon delivery driver for having urine in a bottle in your truck and we all know how Amazon treats it’s delivery drivers so they could get that charge and a charge for improperly carrying bodily waste improper storage of human waste. probably just your imagination. I began working as early as middle school and all my teen work life I have never seen any teen female get harassed much less of them telling me or hearing about it. I am so sorry this happened. My own child at the age of 17 was sexually harassed by the manager of the local Burger King in my town. It was her first job. She was excited to have it. She knew that she wouldn't be there long because she joined the Navy. My husband chose a different route with the manager, let's just say he doesn't work there anymore. These places that hire young people need to be held accountable for checking into the people they hire when most of their employees are under the age of 18. McDonald's needs to be held accountable. Unfortunately, since predators can't be euthanized, they need a job after prison, but that doesn't mean they should be able to get a job, where they have underage subordinates. Once you do this type of thing, you should lose some rights. At the very least, everyone you work with, should get a notification, and if the person is underage, their guardian should be notified. I feel like a lot of lawsuits are BS, but this one is well deserved. I figured a sex offender that did what he did, would have stipulations, that he couldn't be in a position like this legally.

At 19 i worked at mcdonalds, i had long flowing hair and was a openly and publicly a stoner. It was basically my entire personality at that time in my life, and it wasnt in a legal state. My boss new it, the corporate people that visited often knew it, and all of those people asked me to get a haircut so they can make me a manager. Never asked me to stop getting baked before work, or getting stoned with my coworkers. I got in trouble for sending home a 30 year old employee who spoke almost 0 english for constantly flirting with the minors, and touched ones butt so i sent him home and informed my boss. My boss got made at me.
Everyone voted to have those things overlooked for jobs.

This behavior is nothing new. I used to be a manager at a McDonald's and Most of the time no charges would be pressed just fired. We had two managers get fired at our store for it. (For doing exactly this)

They should be able to work, HOWEVER, not where children work or frequent. McDonald's hires minors with working papers all the time, and customers can be kids. This is absolutely negligent and reprehensible on McDonald's part.

Many states prohibit employers to discriminate people base on criminal records when hiring, but having a sex offender working with minors is another level of negligence, specially when charges were because of rape of minors. The mf choose working in Mc Donald’s because he knew he will be working with teens. Hope parents take note from this. I remember when I was 16 working in restaurants I was approached multiple times by older men trying to groom me.
