Really feels like their music producers have locked in on the immense talent of this group and are using their vocals as they would any instrument, while still giving us an insane choreo on top of the high flying vocals and harmonies. the best way i can describe nmixx is that they are the female counterparts of exo. vocals and sound-wise sans change up. as an exo-l, exo’s vocals and sound are what attracted me to them and that’s the same way i see nmixx. especially with this most recent album, so i hope you have the time to check it out.
Caitlin let me just TELL you girl. I didn’t really enjoy their other EP expèrgo. I felt like it lacked a bit of identity. But fe304: BREAK is INSAAAANE. When I went to listen I literally was like “WHAT???? This has no right being this good” Like this is the comeback that is making me stan.
I’m also not the biggest fan of their change ups but I’m OBSESSEDDD with this one simply bc of the “mm I just wanna continue my pace ah” part 😭 it’s addicting
I also think of the mix-up as a bridge! It's in the exact place you'd have a bridge and is really only the length of a bridge. But most importantly I think is that it doesn't change tempo, which REALLY helps it to flow. The way that the beat switches makes it *feel* slower and more floaty, but the tempo is consistent, which is not true for O.O or Dice, and I think that makes a huge difference!! I absolutely love this song, seriously obsessed, and gad DAMN THEIR CHOREO GOES SO HARD I love them sm 😍

I never really listened to NMIXX prior to this, but Dash is BRILLIANT production wise, vocally, and choreography, wise imo! The change up really works in this song for me, and that slow down???? SO good
Nmixx was on my radar with their previous releases, but this project completely pulled me in. Dash is the definition of a title track that fits the vocal stylings and choreo ability of Nmixx. It makes sense that the letters during the end credits screen of their music video were attracted to each other considering that their album is named after Iron Oxide. Their skills are magnetic indeed.
I really appreciate the change-up, especially when the part is on the bridge, unlike how they did on previous releases. bridge, indeed, the different part of the song, along with the raps, but somehow raps can sound as same as other verses. but for bridge, everyone accepted how it sounds different from other parts, so maybe for DASH, everyone loves how this whole song sounds. the song not messy as how ppl judge them, this song still works for their concept. congrats NMIXX, lets snatch those music shows wins and award shows!!!

Until this song. This song makes me want to dive deep into their discography. Lily and Bae vocals are everything. Their harmonies are everything! I'm so excited to dive deeper and learn more about each of them!! And many thanks to their fans who have already commented and given me a guideline! Seriously, they are slaying me with this entire album. And I love it!
I honestly think it’s the visual in the video that makes the change up so jarring. In the context of a performance or just listening straight through, you’re right it just flows more like a bridge. I really hope these girls get more of the shine they deserve this comeback. They’re mad talented.
Like, her vocals are arguably top 2/3 in forth gen and man the abs on this girl like what the heck, right after the change up she looks like she's Solar level fit, no wonder her dancing is so clean ! :O
As a producer, that brief tempo change up was incredible. It's not hard to do on a technical level, just a couple clicks in software, but the creative idea, the execution, flawless. And Haewon ate that MV up.
I feel like the slow down part of the song, represents their view of what everyone around them looks like. As in they are going so fast that everyone else seems slow. Like in movies when it has a character that goes really fast, it slows down to show their point of view.
I feel like this song specifically highlights their musicality, as well as how much they've matured as a group. They are completely owning their sound here and it is so good!

I have to admit I wasn't a supporter of the whole 'change up' concept (honestly I still don't like the debut song) but this feels so good, even if they announce the change up it's so seamless, like two extremes of the same genre
