Sharing your methods so generously demonstrates your confidence in your own work, which is quite beautiful.
So helpful. I’m a beginning artist at 70 years old and your work and advice are amazing. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge with me. It's a pleasure for me to watch your videos. I wish you every success.
I totally agree! The electric eraser is the crown jewel of tools for the graphite, charcoal, or pastel artist. I have been using this priceless little gem for more than 15 years. I always keep several on hand and have recently found one that allows the choice of the standard electric eraser size or the micro size. Before discovering this new version, I would sharpen the standard eraser by holding it at an angle on a piece of paper while pressing the on button. I no longer have to take the time to do that…for even finer lines and details, I simply switch over to my micro electric eraser. As a realistic artist, I find this tool absolutely takes my art to the next level! What’s even better is the price point is extremely affordable. I never view these tools as erasers, but as actual drawing tools. Erasing (a mistake) on a drawing is highly not recommended as it usually causes damage to the paper which alters the way the paper receives the graphite or charcoal. I try, as much as possible, to utilize mistakes as part of the character of the drawing. As a musician, I apply the same approach with my music and encourage my students to do so as well. They are not really accidents, but opportunities for creativity.
I’m so impressed! So beautiful 🤩
So grateful for this video.
Amazing work. I need that eraser in my life.
Stunning work! I really enjoyed hearing you explain your process and how the eraser helps. I've seen them used by watercolorist and graphite artists, but seeing it used on this large-scale charcoal was very interesting. It makes perfect sense!
Thank you for sharing so much information. I'm buying an eraser now! Love your videos. You have helped me to improve my art. Have a great day!

This is a game changer for me! Thank you for sharing this info. I appreciate it, since I love drawing with graphite pencils. I love your fabulous drawings. God Bless!
I am a very young artist (younger than 13) and I love drawing with charcoal and pencils! You have inspired me to work on larger canvases with charcoal, so thank you so much! Because of your inspiration I have won a massive achievement for me! The Young Art Competing is my achievement (It is in my city but I'm not going to reveal where I live)! So thanks again😁😁😊😊
Thanks for this🙏 Just stumbled upon your work and find it hugely beneficial to me as an artist who spends hundreds of hours tormenting myself with pieces of work🤣. You’re a Gem sir!!💎😜
Welcome! and glad you’re finding it helpful! 😁

If this is not hyperrealism what is? To me is hyped up as it is! Beautiful.

Great video! What kind of projector do you use? I'm thinking of trying that as a much simpler way than I've been doing.
What projector are you using or any you could recommend?
What projector do you prefer to use?
Love this piece! Monkeys and gorillas are my favourites. Who can resist that sweet lil face ❤
What type of projector do you use?
What projector do you use?
Thank you, I really appreciate the helpful information. Any recommendations on which type projector works best for reducing and/ or increasing the size of my image?
I’ve got an old projector that’s not the best resolution, they don’t even make it anymore. When this one eventually stops working I’ll do some research and make a video on the one that I end up getting 👍
@@StudioWildlife Thank you for responding. That will be helpful and thank you again for all your helpful information. Have a wonderful day.
Hey Daniel. Another gem to watch.
What projector do you use? The artograph at jacksonsart?
My Projector has actually been discontinued, it’s good for really big pieces but anything medium to small sized it’s rubbish. I’m looking into getting a new projector for a little Christmas present for myself, once I’ve found a good one I’ll definitely do a mention of it in a video !
the lion I painted is not up to the standard of your work but I hope to improve thanks to your advice 🙂✌️
❤
Lol that's a great thumbnail
Which paper Do you use? Hot pressed?
Yep, here's a link to a video I did with all of the materials I use for my charcoal drawings czcams.com/video/BFk1eH0LpIQ/video.html'
