I mean in VRAINS there was a duel between Naoki Shima as Brave Battler (who was running a Baboon deck) and a Knight of Hanoi (with a Steelswarm deck) where they both bricked their opening hand (Brave Battler got two Yellow Baboon and three Green Baboon, both level 7 monsters while the Knight of Hanoi got three Mantis and one Hercules (levels 5 and 10 respectively) as well as a Card Destruction) and both bluffed about it (the Knight had no idea Shima bricked when he played Card Destruction and legit thought he was runing a good opening hand) lol.
I still can't get over you using Ultron to raise the stakes of this tourney in classic Yugioh style. Because this has gone from "Rich narcissist starts a tournament" to "If we don't beat this one guy in a children's card game, we're all gonna fucking die."
Smart to use black wing for snoops deck. For those that don't know snoop Dogg played a character called Crow in Def jam fight for new York. The character that plays this deck in the anime is also named crow.

Joe Rogan threw hard. If he had summoned Scarlight instead of Hot Red, it's effect would've nuked Snoop's monsters, dealt 1500 Burn, and let him attack with Luna as well for the win.
Not even scarlight, literally use the crimson resonator to summon 2 other tuners, and use the dark spirit in hand to synchro summon, destroying even more cards on the field and winning, this series usually has a great display of duels, but this one ain't it, it was too obvious that it was rigged
The characters in these duels tend to make misplays either to make a duel last longer or just for narrative tension. So while Joe could have definitely won if he played differently, I still enjoyed the duel.

His accomplishments are impressive, but he does not seem to be one who would take orders from others. If he ends up being my opponent and I best him, I might have to change the way he thinks… Forcefully
If he also summoned a scarlight red dragon archfiend all of this wouldn’t have happened since if he got it out instead of hot red dragon he would’ve won cause he could’ve done burn damage wipe out the field and still attack with his other monster

I like how it feels like another Yu-Gi-Oh! anime while still managing to bring in people from the real world and from fiction into it as if they have always been a part of it. I'm wondering who Obama will face off against. Mitt Romney would be an obvious choice considering the 2012 Presidential Election but I'd say that's too obvious. Looking forward to the next one anyhow.

Which highlights the true factor of winning a duel. How lucky will you get each draw, and how adaptable you are at using the cards in your hand.
And how adaptable your overall deck is. The best decks make it really hard to totally brick an opening hand.
That's why I only play Goat Format, foregone conclusions like that are way less common.
