I have a gen 2 fourunner my radiator was leaking replaced and no issues I'm selling it 6k
seeing the OGT expedition trailer broke down was disheartening. I have one and if you don't grease the max coupler then that is what happens. That is $40k sitting there on the trail.Not good
how do you like that cooker thing
right now i use 2 things.
1, jet boil - for water
2. jetboil halfgen - for food
i have a conversion piece so when car camping i use the same green-gas container, rather than jetboil fuel
i was thinking of maybe the scottle thing for bigger meals and not be so close to my sleeping area when cooking
I think you should have gone with a Camp Teq tent … that's a game changer..
Just gotta maintain it... make sure you know how old the water pump, fan clutch is etc. I drive my FJ62 with a 3FE pretty hard here in Utah to 11K feet middle of summer with no overheating issues.
sounds like loose sway bar mounts on the front axle, had that same suspension sound on my 80

It’s such a beautiful place that has gone down the hill. I try my best to clean as much out before leaving but you’re right, it’s getting worse and worse.

I came to see what u was gonna grub. Nice. Have u seen those angus steaks from Walmart? They’re like 24-28 bucks for two seaks. Try it with Cowboy seasoning and veggie kabobs grilled on the side. Put a lil oil on em and season em with lemon pepper. 👍🏽 ps. I want to file a grievance on those chanklas. What if Big foot come gets u. U can’t run away homez.

Well, at least you’re repair was minor that trailer seems like it’s gonna be a little more in depth. It’s also good that you’re not full-time so you do have the ability to bail on a bad situation and head home for repairs. Us full timers don’t have that opportunity. All in all entertaining video.

That’s probably my biggest fear with renting a trailer. I’ve actually looked at renting that exact trailer. 2:16

Radiator core? Fan clutch? Two most likely issues. As an owner of several series LC from 80 to 200 and 79s plus FJs. Never had an over heating problem. So sorry for you.
It was the radiator cap. Simple fix
This is EXACTLY why I couldn’t do a rooftop tent. LOOK AT HER FACE WHEN YOU TOLD HER YOU WERE GOING UPSTAIRS!!!!! My dog would disown me if I didn’t allow him to guard me while I sleep.

What was the coolant leak from?A heater hose failed?If you ask me-I would have replaced all the coolant hoses when I got that truck-after 100K or 10 years,they don’t owe you anything and parts like these fail from age.
The cap is bad, and will be taking your advice by replacing all the hoses. Thank you for watching!
All hoses is a must. Not just radiator, but all of them lol

Love 80’s given my age. Have a 96 triple locker I think unless u can do all the work itself u need to be prepared to spend close to 100k. I appreciate it is mega cool. Get a Jeep JLU which I use most of the time.
80’s are 100k vehicles these days once u rebuild them.
