Cool video. I recently bought a GSXR 1100 from 1991 for 1200€ here in Germany. It has been sitting in a garage for the last 10 years, so it will need a lot of work. I bought it because I really want to ride an old school sportsbike. Sportsbike are very expensive here in Germany thanks to high taxes and insurance. HOWEVER, if your vehicle is 30 years old, it qualifies as "oldtimer". Taxes and insurance for vintage vehicles are very low so I hope to get the bike done this year...
Same story with me in Czechia. Bought it for 1400€ in blue, but it has cracked plastics, one exhaust pipe is bent and oil cooler is bent. Don't want it to overheat. And of course carburators are off
Nice and classy bike, good too see machine that old in fine condition, i am very suprised because video started EXACTLY in place where i was riding motorcycle for the first time in my life 😆🇵🇱
Have a gsxr1100 1992 have had it for nearly 20 year's.been on track day's and to le mans with my wife (from denmark)no problem. If you have one keep it 👍🙂
Great video. That looks sharp! I have a '90 GSXR750, I switched to the inverted forks I rebuilt from a 1993 GSXR1100....had to modify the steering stops on the lower tree, but its works very well and made a HUGE difference! I figured it would help but the improvement was astounding. Swapped to the 6 piston calipers as well. I have an 89 1100 with 8000 miles and flatslide carbs. Sat very neglected. Runs great thought. Hoping to come across another set of the later forks n trees for that one too. Can't wait to ride the '89 1100. I have a naked '94 1100 but it's so much bulkier than the oile cooled.
I own 92 red with black. Spent on it little fortune but looks like 3 years old. Every bolt and bearing is new, upgraded suspension, new mikuni rs36 and much more. Love the 90' era bikes and cars
@@Adikxx just looking at an N at a god $$.. the comfort thing, have seen vfr750 bars fitted.. the 1100s here all have upside down forks so have to custom make riser type bar brackets.. have you done any comparo with the gsf1200s.. looking at one of those too.. rock bottom prices atm
Dude I love the older stuff...I have two, one that's already considered a classic in many eyes and one which will very soon have the classic status. BUT....you really should have a blast on something even a little newer....let's say a 2008 zx10r for instance, if you think that is responsive and quick youde be in for a very rude awakening! I would like to see you do a video testing out a newer superbike!😉
how old are you? with your riding style i'd say you're beating the odds at this point. you worked 3 years on it no need to go and die now and destroy the bike. be smart and safe
That is an awesome bike! I just got a 96 gsxr 1100 a few months back and im having trouble finding exhaust. Are there some years that are interchangeable? Or what exhaust do you have on your bike? Thanks!!! Again amazing bike!!
@@Adikxx Thank you very much. Yes, they are wonderful bikes and they are original copies. Have a nice day. And more beautiful videos. Your friend from Iraq😘
I like comfort so I will stick with the RF900 :-D I want to ask about the BUSA, in terms of comfort is she closer to the RF or to the GSXR, considering that she is a mix of both of them?
Exactly as you said Busa is like a mixture of both. If you rode RF for a long time you would probably find riding Busa somewhat familiar. Both RF and the Busa are long, big, heavy and engines run in a typical Suzuki manner. When riding position is considered Busa is definitely closer to RF, GSXR is uncomfortable(well at least to me - i'm 185cm tall and fussy) When i had my Busa i put 4cm bar riser and lowering pegs. Those two simple mods made it SO MUCH more comfortable. With lowered pegs and higher bars i could ride it for few hours without too much pain, on my GSXR i start suffering after about an hour.. This is why i'll probably sell it at some point.. My best regards

Yep. 80s and 90s were wonderful times for motoring. Timeless design and nostalgia 👍

Bloody is mate. 30 yo but still makes an impression of a very powerful motor! Uncomfy but flippin fast :)
