- This is not click bait this is a rather Shocking discovery and very dangerous.
Imagine my surprise when I spotted PV conductor cables in direct contact with a bare aluminum edge on a cut out apature for the cables to run through inside the inverter. No glands or Gromets and there are whitness marks on the cable insulation.
I am so happy I have found this disaster waiting for an opportunity before it was too late!!!
I am so pissed off this doesn't bode well for the quality of this unit.
If you have one of these Anern 7, 8, or 10.2kW Hybrid Inverters please check it out and be safe!
ANERN THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
Oh dear, the usually sloppy Chinese QC (or lack of) 🤬
Looking forward to the updates 👍
Oh dear indeed 🤣🤣🤣
I really don't get why they can see that power is going to be running through the cables but yet neglect to put a little bit of rubber on the edge where the cable runs through. I considered the Chinese hybrid inverter route but I'm not sure whether to just go with a separate charge controller and inverter. I was looking at the Y&H 2KW hybrid inverter. Keep up the great content
@@karloffgrid Hi yeah it is a poor show from China. By fault or by design somebody needs a kick up the arse!
If and when I do this again I think I will go down the route of sepperate charge controlers and inverters. Ot will give more redundancy, the initial cost might be higher but dead components can be swapped out easier with less risk of being completely screwed.
Either that or start saving now for a Rolls Royce of Hybrid inverters.
Thanks very much 😁

@garytaylor1978 yeh I think all separate would be best. I've started with a 400W panel so I've just ordered n EPEver 30A charge controller and screen for it to alter the settings. I'll get fhe inverter after Xmas (probably the ecoworthy 1100W inverter as it can be hard wired) should be able to start putting everything together between Xmas and new year
@karljohnson2410 Sounds like a good plan, you will also be easily expandable.
Good luck and stay safe.
Just cut open a rubber fuel line on one side on full length - thats a perfect grummet ... next time ; )
Hi good idea!!! 👏👏👏
I shall dive into my scrap pile layer and see what I have.
Coolant hoses would also work for larger applications.
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE 😉
Cheers

Looks just like a growatt
Hi there thanks for the sub, Yeah just a collection of China's finest generic parts. Fingers crossed it lasts a reasonable amount of time.
Got mine for over two years now .. ac/ stikwelder/ jacuzzi no problem ..
I’m happy whit it
Hi that's brilliant news to hear!!!
