Toro Reel Mower Test

A week ago we took ownership of 2 new greens mowers. These new mowers feature 14 blade cutting reels versus our old 9 blade mowers. We decided to do a head to head comparison of how much difference a reel with more blades makes when cutting greens. We were blown away by how much MORE grass we cut with the new 14 blade reels. This addition to our fleet will make for faster greens and a truer putting surface. We are excited to have these mowers.

How to remove and install cutting units on a triflex.
1. Park where you can reverse the mower to an open spot.
2. Set units on floor and disconnect cutting units.
3. Place reel motors in lift arms.
4. Raise lift arms and reverse away from cutting units.

Your Effective Height of Cut is also lower because the 14 reel is heavier and will ride lower
