Don't forget that you can flip your own mons with jioh, and that is not a permanent flip, so you can flip summon them on your turn to get their effects again. I like to flip jioh face-down so when it is my turn again i can flip another 2 mons and if you don't have to negate an effect with mitsu right away get that jioh out first so you can pop any card on the opponents field if necessary when she flips a up one of your mons. The deck is quite intricate after turn one, well sometime turn one too if you open right. Sometimes you want to link into saizo to get a ninjitsu then get into meizen using him if you can get out 2 face up ninjas (i.e. mitzu plus tobari plus kagero or mitzuplus tobari hanzo, hanzo gets baku who specials) my spicy tech is karakuri ninja sazank for decks that have a towers because it is a send to grave, not a pop. P.S. Don't let anyone tell you that you should use less that 2 jiohs because if you get him with tobari and dupe (which i did once) it is nutty and stupid funny
Cool interaction on opp's turn I like is Notebook Jioh > Special summon Nichirin off of Meizen effect > send Green Ninja to GY as cost for Nichirin effect. Then flip Jioh face up. Your board is protected and theirs is broken. Whenever Book of Moon is meta Ninjas are a decent choice, the thing with this archetype is that is extremely grindy, as you explained, to get Mitsu's negate it needs a big setup, for an interruption through Tobari it needs another big setup, but at the end it is one of the most fun and interesting archetypes for me. Right now the deck is extremely cheap, for $20-$30 you are all set. Btw NINJA PARTY!!!
Crazy you’re only playing 8 extra deck monsters but if your goal is to out-grind your opponent I understand. However I do have 3 adds to suggest for your extra deck: Blade armor ninja and Borrelsword dragon (equipped with dagger). Both allow for an otk if you have Meizen on board which is easy to do. Also underworld goddess to help get rid of a problem monster your opponent controls
Im surprised you didnt play cross sheep + borrrel sword. Its. 2 card otk with hanzo + mitsu. As long as you can access the equipment spell and baku it gives you enough bodys to make mizen and cross sheep

In regards to your idea of special summoning green ninja from hand after using notebook of mystery, green ninja can only activate that effect if a monster is special summoned face up. So it wouldnt work with notebook since it special summons face down

I'm looking thru all my ninja cards (Missing strike and sasuke) and seeing how to best utilize them. I did not realize how much care they gave to the new support that can be used with the old support. The dragon ninjas are not so negy with the new cards you can send the green ninja from hand or field to activate their effects and get a book or taiyou effect on the opponents turn. I may start side decking yellow dragon ninja for backrow strategies (1-2 s/t pops), Red dragon ninja is a spin of a set for a gy banish, Blue dragon ninja is still stressy depressy tho since the cards have to be from hand only but it is a flat negate tho. I just re-read yellow dragon and it has no cost the loss of cards is on resolution so you can chain duplication tributing him for up to lvl 8 then get rid of on of the new ninjas. Or if you chain notebook mystery to it you can send the notebook before it goes to grave on resolution and either itself or the ninja you special set from notebook mystery. Yellow ninja is now a combo start now that does not hurt you by the lock (hanzo + yellow gets 3 mons on field for the saizo for a ninjitsu into meizen) You will definitely want to get blade armor ninja (rank 4) because it helps get the crack back otk with a double attack on a ninja monster.
Interesting little choice for those who want more combos is Penguin Squire. Gives you water synchro options. Xyz plays. Can be bricky but if you shift the focus to more combo and going second its kind of insane.
These 4 monster's i run 2 2 2 1 , 1 being Baku , but if i had seniors silver i would maybe kicks out 1 Gravity and put silver instead i tried it online and it seems to be good
