I'm Asian and I'm in an interracial marriage. My wife, who is Caucasian and I have been married for almost 36 years. I’m, literally, In tears after watching this video proposal. I met my husband, of 41 years, at West Virginia University in 1974. We married in 1979. We couldn’t have been more opposite. He was 2nd generation-White, Polish/Lithuanian-American-Catholic from a middle class, all white, neighborhood in the Pittsburgh area. I was born, Black, in Jim Crow South Carolina to working class parents, living below federal poverty lines most of my life. I grew up in a strict Pentecostal church with two fundamentalists ministers as parents. We waited until we had graduated college and we’re in the Air Force before taking the leap of faith to marry. Today he’s still my best friend, my partner in life, the father of our two amazing children. As we grow old together I thank God for keeping us on our journey through life.

That song, though. When my husband left me and my son, who is disabled, I told God the I would let him pick the next one. That was eight years ago. There has been no one since then. I’ve cared for my son and raised him by myself to be an awesome young man. Am I lonely? Of course! But I didn’t want my son to grow up seeing me dating this man or that one. His father has since married, divorced, and about to marry again. But I didn’t want to risk bringing someone into my boy’s life who would be unkind to him because he’s disabled. More importantly, I need him to see me as the one parent who honored my covenant with God. I need him to look up to me and see a good and godly woman in his mother.
So I’ve waited. And I’m still waiting. But I receive this video as a sign that God has not forgotten me. My son will graduate high school and be off to college next year. I will be alone, but not lonely. When I least expect it, God will send His choice for me…a good and godly man who won’t look at me and see an old woman whose best days are behind her. He’s been waiting too. And in me, he’ll see the one he’s been waiting for. I won’t have to beg him to stay because he’ll never want to leave. Who knows. Maybe there will be a ring in the Bible for me one day.

You need to understand: God restores marriages, whatever the problem was. NEVER will He send you another husband, that would be against His own words...you know, adultery? And why on Earth would He tell you not to commit adultery, and then, look! He's finding you another "husband/wife" ...nooo, what y'all should be doing in this situation, is asking God to restore your marriage! Then oh yes you indeed are praying for something that God wants and He shall answer you!! And it doesn't matter that he or she is in another relationship, for it is not blessed by God. I can relate so much to this story because I was in a relationship just like this. We were together almost 22 years. Dated for 4, engaged for 2 and married for 16. This is so beautiful! I'm crying and with goosebumps. Just came across it in the midst of the pandemic and riots all over America and seeing something like this just got me so happy and I wish this was the rule and not the exception! the rule is love conquers all, long distance, racial differences, language barriers, gender, etc... love is love and that should be it! this world needs a love rush bc hate seems to have taken over and this should be what needs to take over! pure, true, and honest love!

Many women are single, waiting on their "Boaz", but they do not realize that the Lord brought Ruth to Boaz or he would not have found her. A woman gets presented and then the man pursues. I know that "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord." ~ Proverbs 18:22 (KJV) Adam had no problems instantly recognizing that Eve was his wife; he "found her" after the Lord presented her to him.
