  • The "Apocrypha" in the Bible refers to a group of church books and documents that appear between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Although they have always been free from the church, they do not exist in the original Hebrew Bible canon, but were first officially included in the "Septuagint Translation" of the Greek Bible in the 2nd-3rd century BC. Early Christianity has always used this Bible.
Some people believe that the Apocrypha was included in the Bible canon by Catholicism and Orthodoxy after the emergence of Protestantism, so the Protestant Bible canon does not include the Apocrypha. This statement may be a white lie in order to reduce the contradictions between the three major denominations in Christianity. As a document, history should be strictly respected. From the perspective of time, the Catholic "Apocrypha conversion" was indeed after the emergence of the Protestant Bible, but this is just a coincidence: Catholicism has always used the Greek "Septuagint Translation" Bible. Therefore, the Apocrypha has long become an integral part of the Bible. And the official announcement in 1546 was just an official statement.
In today's world, if we look at it from a neutral, free, and open-minded Christian perspective, the Apocrypha
    1. As Jewish history and religious history, it is indispensable. Otherwise, it will cause historical fragments.
    2. As the Bible, the Apocrypha is even more indispensable for the parts involving church classics, such as the whereabouts of the Ark of the Covenant, which is absolutely the most classic. Otherwise, the Bible's discussion on the Ark of the Covenant will become a defective and unfinished document with a "beginning but no end".
Based on this, it is obvious that the Apocrypha is promoted:
    • It helps to eliminate misunderstandings and contradictions between various sects and denominations.
    • It helps to eliminate the Antichrist's pretextual use, deliberate distortion, and destruction of the unity movement of Christian faith.
In the Apocrypha, the Book of Tobit is usually ranked first. This is not sorted according to the importance of its documents or chronological order. It is based on its literary style and content structure in the Bible.
It is worth noting that Tobit was not a prophet, but just a pious Israelite. His story emphasizes faith, good deeds, and family responsibilities, rather than the duties and prophetic behavior of a prophet.
The Book of Tobit is most likely a fictional myth. But the artistic conception it tells, like a fable, has many enlightening meanings for the lives of Christians today. Its existence is not just an ancient legend, but also contains many thought-provoking and profound doctrines that are helpful for the application of modern faith life.
The destruction of Israel and the people being taken to the Assyrian Empire should have been a century earlier than the Babylonian captivity. But the number of people taken was probably only half of the Babylonian captivity. So it is not very famous. Then, in terms of events, it is a continuation of the Babylonian captivity. But in terms of time, it is the predecessor of the Babylonian captivity.
