Noah, welcome to Melbourne mate! I was just in Adelaide and had my first Fiano which was a treat. Stopped into Unico Zelo too. Hope you do some Wine related meetups whilst you’re here, would definitely pay to do some curated tastings if you run them!
As an American who fell in love with Australian wine in the “Boxer and Ball Buster” days and now, as a result of deNegoce who brought a variety of Aussie wines during the pandemic, I have once again fallen. Wine for the People videos are a great way for me to re-introduce myself. Thanks for this in-depth look at Mornington in such a casual and well edited episode !
If I ever have the chance to visit Australia in the coming years, Mornington Peninsula was always on my list of wine regions to visit. Only heard great stuff about it, sadly I have not encountered a single importer here in the Netherlands that imports wines from this region :(
Yooooo, can you guys please do some more deep dives? You guys are missing some staples like Semillon and Brendan's fave, Aligote! Throw some Gewurst for fun too please? Thanks heaps lads, love the vids.
I just wrote out another comment saying the same thing! Ive been gone for years now but I love the wines from there. Sorrenberg and Giaconda were fantastic.
Dexter are fantastic and super good QPR. No visit to Port Phillip / kooyong? Ferrous was always a favourite of mine. If you do another region, while I do love yarra (did vintage at giant steps back in 2016) Beechworth was making the wines I loved the most. But Ive been living in Europe for 8 years now so Im not as much in the know!
Dont know about these wines specifically but Prince Wine Store has always been my favourite. You can also find some old bottles there if you go round the back. When I was visiting in December we bought a 1969 Lafaurie Peyraguey there for 120aud (with the current vintage on the shelves for 300 aud!), and it was ridiculous.
I've just returned to Melbourne after 20 years away and was planning to do some touring, so this video is perfect timing.
Love the wines of the Mornington. Thanks for taking the time to post this video. Will have to try the Dexter.
Thank you so much! That's really kind of you - guaranteed, you're going to love the Dexter!

Oh fantastic! What Fiano was it?! Were you looked after at UZ?! Definitely got meetups happening - jump on the Discord to find out when & where!
Noah - great video and I learned a lot. Seems that most of all the wines you tasted are not available here in the US.
Ah that's such a shame! Are there any Mornington Peninsula wines available in the USA?

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words - we're absolutely over the moon that we're helping reintroduce a new side of Aussie wine for you!

Love this a bit of learning and a bit of inspiration, looking at Pinots online now from Mornington. Keep these geography lessons coming!
hey thank you so much!

We were just discussing this the other day! Great recommendation! Watch this space!
Hey you need to get up to Beechworth, especially Eldorado Road 🎉
I just wrote out another comment saying the same thing! Ive been gone for years now but I love the wines from there. Sorrenberg and Giaconda were fantastic.
Brendan went there late last year and had a GREAT time!
Sorrenberg and Giaconda ROCK!

Ah there's only so many wineries you can do in a weekend, that's for sure!
Kerri Greens also have a great gewurztraminer too! Great picks, awesome video!
hey ! can you suggest a wine shop in melbourne that might stock a selection of these wines? ideally with home delivery 8)

Massive fans of PWS!
Really cool, thank you - great format for when you can’t pull the whole group together.
Got plenty more coming!
