I love how Knarfy literally doesn't see the same dance as Zee.
The fact that a multi billion dollar company takes an entire year to add 3 mobs and 1 biome + a bad mob for the mob vote whereas this man can make animations and (slightly buggy) functions just after the mob has been anounced is absolute madness.
Mojang, i think you need to up your game.
I agree but they cant make something buggy they have a large playerbase. Maybe thay added more features than him and they take more time to do it
I am sick and tired of people saying this. He did not create a new mob. He redesigned a dolphin.
The fact: I understand that the goal is to create excitement from Mojang by introducing a voting system... but when I see that a talented person like you can create the Penguin in such a "short" amount of time, it makes me question the official developers! They surely could have added all 3 mobs instead of having to choose just one. Well, then again, you might tell me it's also a matter of balance, and that's true, the aim isn't to add 10,000 things every year.

Also remember that Minecraft intentionally designs itself around the idea of being as appealing as possible to the most amount of people and they seem to believe that a mob vote would do that best.
Oh yeah we should get 3 mobs in a couple of months only while back when notch was working on the game he would add maybe 5 mobs every week ?
Not exactly. They have a lot more to go through than modders ever need to since they're part of a whole game company. A few of the devs have explained this on Twitter.
Going from rough concepts to many iterations, quality control/trying to make it bug-free as they can, work with other aspects of the entire game so there's no other bugs showing up, having it meet specific standards and approval, having to do this twice because of working with two different engines and for it to work across multiple devices, communications between one another, all the while having to work on multiple other features for the main update and other projects, with the pressure to meet a dedicated deadline/timeframe until its official release date (hence why they can sometimes run out of time for some features and end up having to scrap them).
Not to mention, mob vote mobs are always low-priority compared to everything else.

So fun facts about this type of Penguin. This is a Rockhopper Penguin. They are very short but very aggressive penguins. They have been known to mate for life. They're also quite resilient as they commonly leap out of the water onto the rocky shores they call home. Heck the fact they leap from rockt cliffs is why they got the name Rockhopper Penguin

The reason I'm voting for the crab is that once you get an elytra boats are obsolete. Not everyone has a wolf, and some who do don't take them on adventures, they just keep them safe at home. But everyone places blocks, all of the time. Weather you're building a starter house, mega base, caving, exploring the nether, fighting the ender dragon or fighting other players we all place blocks. Crabs extend your block placing reach so they are the most useful. That's why I'm voting for the crab.

I'm voting for the armadillo cuz it's so cute and unique and it adds more life to the savanna and makes wolfs actually useful
Problem is is that it doesn't solve the issue of wolfs having bad AI and dying anyway
This would be so good if the penguins were like this-- not sure if enough to beat dog armor but REALLY good. It's a shame this isn't gonna be canon lmao

I will say, I was originally going to vote for the penguin, but this video made me want to vote for the crabs. The ocean is overpopulated and the penguin doesnt add too much to Minecraft.

When the penguin is anounced, maybe it's the second time i got excited for a mob vote (the first time is for the iceologer)

Java: Blockbench & Json/Jar Coding program with mod knowledge
On Java mods may be better quality but are way more complicated to make. On bedrock are more low quality because the point of bedrock is to be optimized for any device. But it's more simple on bedrock.

They effect gameplay mechanics , they spawn is a common biome and they are cute!
Wolf armor is useless and we will rarely see crabs.

@@Real_ZeroPlanet true , we want it because we don't have it . If they add it so many people will have complains about not being able to coustomize it and that it doesn't make your wolf immortal, just a little more protection.

if the crab wins than the only way it well make me think its worth getting the claw if there is a slider on how far you want the reach but it caps out on how many blocks is your render distance, it would make it worth the effort of finding then but i do wish the penguin gets added

I dont think putting the penguin in the boat makes the boat move faster,in the video we see that the penguins make the boats move faster by swimming near it like how the dolphins make us swim faster.
