For the second installment of CME’s Showroom Sweep video series, he joined our very own multi-genre master, Nathaniel Murphy, grabbing whatever gear he could gather in five minutes or less-then, the two sat down together to talk shop and give the guitars and amp a go! I was given a free pro-line Gretsch once and a Fender tweed blues Jr. All I did was take professional photos for them at an event non-grata.

A bit of a cliché comment, but Joel could have made that little mystery acoustic sound like a Holy Grail Martin or Gibson. Being well acquainted with his work, I'm not surprised by his picks. He clearly appreciates and utilizes the classic features, but ultimately it's his picking, and not the guitar or amp, that dazzles most. Thanks, as always, for spotlighting one of CME's most distinguished guests.
