    Two things- music is the universal language and, the space between the beats is just as important as the beats. Genius.

    Absolutely the only drummer on earth now who can play drums alone only and make it sounds so full of soul and music.

      Basically Bernard speaks the language of music so well, that the audience doesn't need a translator. Unfortunately the thranslator himself realized this only in the second half of the clinic.

    Using the adjective "lengendary" is a crime when speaking of Purdie. His drumming skills are much more closely akin to the typical Holiday Inn 'fill-in' drummer. His megalomania is apparently contagious.

    • @musicis1
      @musicis1 Před 5 lety

      How?

    • @russwilson7102
      @russwilson7102 Před 5 lety

      Unoriginal and unvarying. Easy marks are prey for his inflated sense of ability. Listen .. you will either hear the differences from true professional drummers or not.

    • @musicis1
      @musicis1 Před 5 lety

    • @lilkujo
      @lilkujo Před 4 lety +8

      Yeah hes probably the most recorded session drummer in history because of his major megalomania and lack of unique talent and skill... opinions though, we got em

    • @outside2585
      @outside2585 Před 4 lety +3

      @@lilkujo Yeah, he clearly faked his way through those Steely Dan, Miles Davis, James Brown, Quincy Jones.... auditions. Musicality and "sense of ability" are very different things. But I digress.
