I feel I have some authority to speak with some authority on this subject.
I've produced & released bass music that's done well, and have put on hundreds of bass music events. I'm an older fella and have done this for the best part of 30 years. I'm just a fan again.
I have had both of the cheaper Fatfreq & it's too much for a long, enjoyable bass heavy listen. I upgraded to the Maestro SE & still too much for very bass heavy music (but very good for other stuff such as certain jazz) My go to for long listening sessions w bass heavy electronic music (drum n bass especially) Thieaudio Hype 4 - the out of the box tuning is pretty heavy, but there's a huge amount of room to push the bass up (I use the DSP on a Mojo 2 which is much better for that than any EQ - there is no compromise on sound quality - I think they genuinely guarantee that) & they go to genuine 'basshead' levels. I know Timmy & most reviewers just go with out of the box tuning, which is fair enough, and I don't think any IEM should be 90-95% there out of the box, but we all have our own little preferences which can be easily had with a very minor adjustment & I think those should be accounted for when buying anything.
The bass on the Hype 4 when you pump it up isn't abrasive & fatiguing - it's thick, smooth & warm. None of this rattling shell stuff which I'm not a fan of at all - it takes away from the music IMO, despite initially being quite impressive.

Do one for loud volumes above 85 dB. Mid bass needs to be there. And upper mids and treble needs to be down. I would appreciate if you did one. I know you did one long time ago. But with new iems. For loud volumes fanatics that there is many. I would appreciate 😊

I got the IER-Z1R since everyone said it's the best. I was tbh disappointed by, it's a lot less than I expected. Need to EQ it to get more bass. Like even my WF-1000XM4 can sound more bassy than my Z1R

A basshead iem that is really damn good is the Nightjar Duality.

    • @FramelViruzia

Both are great at their price, qkz is more relaxing if compare with kbear, but if you really love more bass and treble aka more “Fun” and “Engaging” then I would say it’s better in those kind of things but for me personally, I couldn’t say that which one I like the most as both are really great as this price.

The cheaper Fatfreq have too much bass. It's like too much salt on your food. It's impressive, but you're not going to listen to that for more than a quick blast... especially if you value your hearing.

Timmi is too classy to shill his own bassy IEM in this video. I have no class so I will shill the DaVinci since I love its remarkably textured and layered bass which somehow seems to float above and remain distinct from the rest of the musical instruments. The Delci is a surprisingly enjoyable IEM for only $65. It has been getting a lot of listening time.
