    This is one of the Buck models you can order customized for hardly more than the retail price. If I didn't already own a 192 Vanguard I'd order one of these.

    I've got one of those too, and I love that knife. Fantastic for hunting. Thanks for the look at your 113, buddy!

    I really enjoy all your Buck reviews lately! The 113 Ranger Skinner was introduced in 2011 and the 101 Hunter fixed blade in 2017. I wish I would have picked up a 101 when they were readily available. Too expensive on the secondary market now.

      Thanks for the info. Did not know about the start date on the 113. Thought it came out after the 101. They did not made the 101 for long ☹

    What a beautiful knife!! I’m too urban for a fixed blade knife but I loved this one nonetheless.

    Kinda correct on the 112, except it was the XO on the Ranger who outlawed the 110's because the crew was stabbing each other during the "race riots" that were going down on the Carriers at the time (60's early 70's). AirPac a little later put the rule out to all Pacific Fleet Carriers and the rest, as they say, is history. On the Tincans(Destroyers) and in the Vietnam Brown Water Navy, we still bought and carried 110's, so at the Navy Exchanges they sold both the 110 for the Fleet and Marines, and the 112 for the Carrier crews.

    Nice tool. I love my 101 and likely to get 1 of these as another skinner. Smaller blades can be safer when caping a critter

    It's the cross between the 112 ranger ( handle) and the blade of a vanguard.

      I thought I had seen that blade shape before. Good catch.

    Sweet blade. The problem is the Romans found a stab wound as little as two inches deep was often fatal. How do we get around that one?

    • @thesakguy3852
      @thesakguy3852  Před rokem +2

      The reason they did not go below 3 inch blade was then all the issued pocket knives would then be illegal and cost to much money to be replaced. Have to remember the budget now 😁
