Petsmart has this litter on sale on a regular basis. In fact, it's on sale right now! Here's the link:

I've never been a fan of the pine pellets. I've tried them so many times, and so wished they would work because they're so inexpensive! But never did, #1 a lot of my cats didn't like them at all, pooped right outside of the box. I think they just don't like the feeling of the pellet form! #2, you really can't get all of the pee out because it just doesn't clump good enough. And #3, I didn't like the fact that it was so dusty an tracked all over. I use and love the Tidy Cat clumping litter. Yes it is expensive, but really works the best I.M.O. No smell, no tracking, not much dust, and the cats seem to do really good with it. I try to watch for BOGO's on it and along with coupons, then it's not bad. This grass seed litter looks good, excellent clumps! But It doesn't seem to be any less inexpensive than the Tidy cat. I'll have to see with the 20% discount they offer. If it would be less expensive, I would totally be interested.😸😻💕💕

I used to use Tidy Cats, too. But, clay litter is so dusty. Even the "low dust" brands are dusty imo. Clay is also not the best for the environment. I honestly don't use a lot of the grass seed litter. Maybe once a month I'll do a complete change, but I scoop often, so I usually just top it off. The other nice thing about grass seed litter is that it's pretty consistent from brand to brand, so you can find deals at Petsmart, Petco, Chewy, etc, and it's all going to be pretty much the same type of litter. I do use unscented, but Petco makes a scented variety.

I assume Wanda that that is one bag of the 14 lbs in that box. How do you do it? I'm sure you scoop every day but how often do you do the whole box? Or how long does it under normal use last. 😊😊😊😊

Actually, I get the 28 lb bag. That will last me about a month. I scoop several times a day and top off as needed. The clumps are very hard, so not a lot of litter gets wasted. Also, the used litter doesn't stick to the box like some clay litter does, so I don't have to dump the whole box as often. I usually just top off the litter.

Just reread your comment. No, that box doesn't hold 14 lbs. Even the cement mixing trays from Home Depot don't hold 14 lbs. To get started, you might need several bags. But, once you're using just the grass seed litter and scooping several times a day, a top off here and there is really sufficient.

Thank you Wanda. That is great to hear about the not sticking because yes clay is notorious for that. Right now I do the combo of clumping litter with pine pellets. I started it to try to wean to pine pellets but they really like the combo. The pellets actually act as a deodorizer and break down just as Kim explained. This looks like a great natural litter. I've watched a few videos on corn litter too. Thank you for taking the time to answer. 😊😊😊😊😊

Looks good litter, nice and soft for the cats. Not sure if it is available here across the pond though. If I was to throw it out in my garden, would grass grow if it is grass seed, and especially with the cat poop acting as extra fertiliser🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
