My friend's wife's relative would smuggle drugs in a truck, and before he starts his Journey it is said that he opens his hands and prays " Oh Allah please blind the eyes of the police so i can deliver the drugs safely"..... we all have a good laugh hearing that story :)

The hadiths that actually explain this are weak. The one taht says instruments and the other one that says it gets spilled into the ear
عُــمـَر إِبنُ الإِماراتْ Abu Dawud ?
In the Quran, Allah praises the sahaba (companions (ra)) of the Prophet ﷺ as trustworthy; and where it says the dirty lyrics, the sahaba (ra) interpreted it as the instruments. And there's also a hadeeth that speaks against it as well.

They always say that, when they know they're being called out on their sins lol. Again, thats how they were raised, that the more you follow your religion, the more "extreme" you become lol.
Instead of calling them out, give them the easiest to understand translation, of the Noble Qur'an. No one did that, which is probably why they aren't practicing.
I WISH someone helped me out like that. But Alhamdulia for trusty Google, and Dr Zakir Nailk just sealed the deal for me. I was pleasantly surprised, that he was talking about women's rights in the Qur'an, Islam and comparative religion and last but not least Qur'an and modern Science. I became aware women had rights in Islam before seeing Dr Zakir Nalk, but I have never seen a male scholar talk about it. They usually use religion, as a way to manipulate and/or put females down. 🙄

I knew there are some muslims who are pro lgbt, there are even lgbt among muslims. May Allah SWT save us from this fitna.
If anyone sins, and think they're doing something okay/right ect, I think the correct definition of their beliefs is that they're a "theist". Which means that they believe in God, but not in any particular religion.
But I think they're scared that their parents will disown them if they call themselves a "thiest" lol. I learned this word in R.E at school, and that summed up my beliefs at the time. But we all hate drama, so ya'know hush hush lool.

I believe the people we're talking about are Muslims who believe in Allah S.W.T, but try and make their sins halal instead of admitting their faults and repenting. Not denying there are people who identify with a certain religion to please their parents, but those aren't the people we're talking about here.

🙄 Urgh! SOME non practicing Muslims i know said that stuff to me. Like hun, I'm not telling you to wear hijab, so why you telling me to haram date?
But if you say you can't do a particular thing, they'll cry and say "you think your better than me?!! It's what's in the heart". Again sis, I didn't think/say that I'm better then anyone. Its just that Allah gives us everything, and i'm tired of feeling guilty that I don't obey the commands.
Guilt, is a toxic emotion. The only way I can get rid of that, Is to at least TRY and make Allah happy. I'm so glad she understands now, she's a family friend who i couldn't avoid.
If you don't have an overactive guilty conscious, good for you. But some people do, and it eats them up. 💁♀️

Ameen. But at the same time, we shouldn't judge people who do take those things. They're obviously in a dark place. You can send them a " quit smoking", hypnotherapy from CZcams on their WhatsApp.
You'll be helping them out, and getting blessed for doing so. They might look into Islam a bit more due to you being cool, and not judgemental Insha'Allah.
Always remember not to even judge people in our hearts. It's mean. Plus we could be in their position, at any time. Maybe even tomorrow. May Allah protect us, and heal addicts Ameen.

@@misbahailia3345 in islam we can actually judge what’s apparent. It’s the basics of islam. Umar ibn Al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said : 'We judge by what's apparent and we leave their inner secrets to Allah. ' Sahih Al-Bukhari, 2498.

That is exactly why tawheed is super important and the "usool" (Basic fundaments) of the deen are also super important. Without the knowledge of these to things... we are only going to repeat what our forefathers did.
