Izzy literally said he hopes Dricus keeps winning, meaning he has to get a few ranked wins before getting a title shot. He didn't say that he wanted to fight him next or any time soon. Strickland vs Du Plessis and winner gets a title shot. Costa vs Chimaev is also being targeted so depending on what happens we already have a lot of options for Izzy and he should really just sit out and train until those fights happen
Ye Izzy knows what he doing, I think Sean is right it is a easy win for Izzy and Izzy knows that. It’s new blood for him and stalls the division so there can be new contenders hopefully, instead of fighting the same ones all the time. Then again I think kalvin gastulum looked good against Curtis. So kelvin is probably one win a way if he fights his butt off again. Would love to see a rematch with him and Izzy because I still think kelvin gastelum gave Izzy his most toughest win yet.
