I bought one of those years ago, and a new Titanium bolt for its fixation on the Brompton stem post. And you are able to buy arms and bars with more GoPro fixes, along and to the side of a Brompton handlebar, for speedometers, lights, cameras and what you may like! Finn. Denmark

Hi Chris, does Yr handle bar becomes loose after fitting this? I realised the mechanic didn't use the plastic type washer.. hence might be the reason... I use a metal washer but the handle still move

My Handlebar is fix and does not move at all.
It could be the plastic washers that aloud the right torque for the Handlebar.

Where did you find the tool to remove the screw? with the NM indexes?
Look up torque wrench.

I use the Brompton tools. It is the same as the pentaclip screw.
To tighten I used a torque wrench up to 15Nm and tighten a bit more with Brompton tool. To get to 18Nm.

The best attachment in this category, from my experience, is the Quad Lock system. I am referring to the M/H handlebar on the Brompton.

Great for using with the phone, but it is heavier.

And using the plastic cover on the tool set as a handle, gives a better grip. And in this case the torque isn't that essential, as long as the handlebar is fixed. Don't overdo it!

@@ChrisbyBike As a former craftsman I know when things are right and tight, and some are essential. But tightening the bolt for the handlebar, isn't one of those, as long as the handlebar isn't to be moved during handling. I also have some handlebars made from carbon, which I may try for lighter weight, also a flat, Sport

Yes, on Carbon torque would be extremely necessary.
But I wouldn't be conffortable if my Handlebar move during my ride.

@@ChrisbyBike I have just changed my saddle to a Selle carbon version, coming closer to my goal of 9 kilo (before 9,35 kg), with mudguards. I also have a printed saddle but looks for a clamp for oval tubes on the saddle.

I've finally upgrade my stop disk for a carbon stop disk. So far, so good. Hope it will last longer than the previous stop disk upgrade.
The carbon is very nice and light. It looks cool.
I use it as well, but the gopro tends to tilt in bumpy roads

Is there a way to mount a QuadLock phone to it? This would be much better than the official (ugly) Brompton Quad Lock mount.

Good question. I do not have a Quad Lock to check it.
But you can mount anything that can be mount on a Garmin mount and a GoPro mount.

Watch out that you can tighten the handlebar still enough that it doesn't move!!!
Because the guy from everyday cicle had this problem at his trigo phone mount even without the spacers.

Yes, we have to be very careful about it.
My trigo mout was completely loose without the plastic washers. I will go to a bike shop and use the 18Nm to be safe.
