Sorry not quite the same tunes - more a variation on a theme. Apparently Ron Goodwin when asked to provide the music rather than the music of Wilian Walton said that unless they kept Spitfire Preleude and Fugue he wasn't willing to do it.
@@mothmagic1 Spitfire Prelude and Fugue wasn't used in "Battle of Britain", It was composed for the wartime film "First of the Few", about RJ Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire.
Bella Marcha de la LUFTWAFFE, bella también es Dam Busters de la RAF y no se queda atrás el Himno de la Fuerza Aérea de Chile (FACH) .Los invito a escuchar las tres .
This is the theme from the film "Battle of Britain" it is NOT "the Luftwaffe March." I can't believe this stuff... next someone will quote "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." Yammamoto never said it, Darryrl Zanuck did... he wrote the line and put it in his film. This doesn't even sound like a German march.
Written for the film "Battle of Britain" by Ron Goodwin. The specific scene is a German inspection of the luftwaffe, hence the name "luftwaffe march" (aka Aces high). Ron Goodwin is quoted as writing it as a blend of "Erica" and the German anthem at the time, so it's harmonically heavily built upon German marching music. Perhpas the best German march and it's not written by a German!
It's NOT the theme from the film, that's a completely different tune. This is the accompaniment from the scene where the Luftwaffe inspection is taking place and Goodwin specifically arranged it to sound Germanic especially with the original choice of instruments which was different from there (eg Glockenspiel). So yes, as far as the FILM is concerned it was presented as the Luftwaffe march.
I love this march. I am a concert band director in Moranbah Queensland AU. Is there some way I can purchase this arrangement for my High School Concert Band?
Ich finde das Luftwaffenmaß und Panzerlied eines der schönsten und unersetzlichsten Lieder der Geschichte seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg
Doch
Ron Goodwin music is always great.
A Glockenspiel would top it off nicely, as in the original. Very well done.
It's Battle of Britain's theme, from Ron Godwin
It's "Aces High" from Battle of Britain, not the theme.
Hermosa marcha en todas sus versiones, no me canso de escucharla. En mi país la tiene en su repertorio la Fuerza Aérea FACH.
Deserves a standing ovation, lovely
Wasn't it written for the 1969 film Battle Of Britain?
Correct
Yes, and it's correct title is 'ACES HIGH!' I believe the modern Luftwaffe have adopted it as their march, but it was written for the film.
It was and if you listen arefully to the RAF theme from the film you'll find they are the same tunes in different tempos

The March "ACES HIGH"
Opening of 'The Battle of Britain' 1969. Luftwaffe inspection tour.
Also Sometimes Referred To As The Narrow Margin. So As Not To Confuse It With The WW1 Film Called ACES HIGH
Very nice!! ❤️❤️ From Vietnam!
Wish I had been there. Thanks
Marvelous!!
the March ACES HIGH.
It is now, but at the time "Battle of Britain" was released and shortly afterwards it was indeed "The Luftwaffe March".
Aces high is the name of this song, from the film The Battle of Britain
Super! :D
Heinkel He 111s, ME109s, Stukas, DO-17 and DO-215. I love them all.
DO-17s and DO-215s
Don’t forget the few 190
My god this is beautiful

Isn’t this called ‘Aces High’?

y dont u speak german instead
They've got the tempo a bit wrong here. More of a trot than a march!
That focker is a spitfire

Dit is really well performed for an amateur band
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Gut!
映画空軍大戦略のテーマソングですね
Where is this?
Sounds like a high school band.
🛩
Aces High
The Luftwaffenmarch was not written by Terry Randall
Never said it was … I’m simply the cameraman who took the video
Stolz
, 👍👍❤️
Someone was out of tune a couple of times.
Was war das??.
Is this in the ukraine?
Excellently played, but who for and where? Plenty of empty seats for such a good perfomance.
Aces High, too fast
the Nazi Luftwaffe march very nice!
This march was written for the film "Battle of Britain". The film was released in 1969. It is therefore not a Nazi march.
@@Ul.BThank You for Clarifying. Big Smile 😉
Goodness, it is a march, you cannot slur those notes! The piece demands accents! The recapitulation of the main theme is lame. Work on it!
Some people would find fault with Heaven...
