With Covid restrictions, I haven't been able to go back to Australia to see my mum in more than two years now so watching you and your mum talk about height and her being short (sorry... not short!) was everything for me. Whenever I call my mum short, her response is always "excuse me, I am actually taller than the average height for women, i'll have you know!" It gets me every time. xx
That height convo really cracked me up too! My sisters that are 5'3" and 5'4" always say they're not short and try to fight me on it when I've always been the tallest person in my class. My mom passed last year so it is very nice to see this funny mother-daughter duo 😁

Regarding painting the shingles: I live in a historic Victorian neighborhood. One cottage has painted shingles in graduated hues of the same color. 1/3 is light, 1/3 is medium, 1/3 is darker.. it is beautiful without taking attention away from the cute porch and entrance. I think yours would look good with 3 sections of that Dove trim color.
Our Victorian is painted the same way with that gradient! It is always so flattering on old homes.

Yes when you become an aunt you totally fall in love with your nephew/niece, speaking from experience.
Also if you see your brother or sister-in-law having a hard time with the baby do not hesitate to offer to take the baby off their hands, you get to give them a break and you get to have quality bonding time 👍.
On yes, all babies are perfect 😌❤ and most doctors will tell you to expect your baby 2 weeks before or after your due date, so he's not early..he's just on his timing.

Also an idea from your last video about the under pinning; I grew up in NC and currently live in SC, so have spent many years at our beaches here. Lattice is typically something you would see underneath cottage style homes, and I loved the lattice you showed. It also allows for ventilation, which is a huge issue in the south. I thought you could paint it the same Dove color, accent it with black hardware and then match the vent in the upper roof with the same lattice to tie it in and add a different look (and I'd paint it black like your mom said). Then you could use the same lattice work on any gates/sheds with the same hardware. Just a thought!
where I'm from, in the night after the baby was born, friends and family put up a giant wooden stork that has a bag with a baby in front of the house or on the main road where you drive off towards the house, and if you drive in, you can see all the storks on houses where there's a new baby. It's very precious and the storks are themed according to the parents, like the stork might be wearing a fire fighter outfit if the parent is one, or rock climbing gear ect, but he always brings a baby in a little bag, kinda like in Dumbo the Disney movie?
