For all those folk wondering why this game was not tied and instead drawn: in Test cricket, you win by either collecting more wickets or scoring more runs than the opposition. Therefore, a tie in this case would necessitate all the wickets being taken and the one side collecting exactly the same amount of runs as the other within the four innings of a Test match. England collected exactly the same runs as Zimbabwe here (610 each, with England scoring 406 all out and 6/204 while Zim collected all out scores of 376 and 234 respectively). The four wickets which Zimbabwe failed to collect at the end of five days is the reason the match was drawn instead of tied.
Had it not been for Mugabe, Zimbabwe would have been a much better cricket team and never would have got banned by the ICC. Such a shame that talents like the Flower brothers, Heath Streak and Alastair Campbell didn’t have the chance to show what they were capable of in the long term. Zimbabwe had a promising team that could have gone somewhere, such a shame to see them waste away how they did
In the age of T20 and Bazball I suspect that the target would have been surpassed with plenty of overs to spare despite the bowling tactics. That England team seemed content to be 'wronged' and probably disappointed to have come so close to actually pulling of the win. But at least they "murdered 'em".
This test match was drawn...in test match if both teams are all out at same score means tie orelse it is considered draw Watch this video czcams.com/video/l6yZJ0PVjF8/video.html
It’s amazing how Alistair Campbell could juggle his job as Tony Blair’s spin doctor and be the Zimbabwean cricket captain at the same time....
Golden Age Zimbabwe, just look at the crowds, wish test matches like this could be played in Zim today
Why doesn't this happen these days in Zimbabwe?
@@ajs41 Because corruption swallowed cricket in Zimbabwe.
@@ajs41 Robert Mugabe was the reason
@@stavyasharma5445 He seemed to ruin everything in Zimbabwe.
@@ajs41 he was the dictator of the country for a veryyy long time.

Great upload of a little-known but exciting game. This is the most excited I've heard Bob Willis in commentary.
this series is VERY well known.
This is an absolute gold....you got anything from the one dayers where the chicken farmers whitewashed the men in blue

Tied.
No. Still a draw
Awesome match ending in a tie
Draw hai bhai..for it to be tie, england should have lost 10 Wickets..
actually it was a draw with scores level
Was this a tie or a draw.
Why england not playing against zimbabwe now
Umpiring was a complete joke.
You mean the wides? A wide has to be very wide in Test Match cricket.
This was not t20
some pretty poor running from the middle order here....
