That lady gets on my nerves, being fat doesn’t mean if you’re pretty or ugly, it means being healthy or not
Because of her arrogant, non caring suck up attitude, she is one step away from a heart attack or stroke or dead
She also is a charge to all of us because she dosnt work
@Simply Outspoken , duh, I know that.
@Simply Outspoken , I didn't know that she passed away until I scrolled up and found out that she passed away.
@UC3-WPsNQXWY7YSKHTrvznxg , yeah, her nonchalant don't care so what attitude didn't end her anywhere but dead. Her attitude sucked to high Heaven. I'm 305 pounds, being obese is not fun, it's a miserable life. I know because one time I went to Walmart with my sister and there was staring and whispering behind my back. My sister told me about it. Obesity is no life to live
Now I know why Dr. Nowzarden (My 600-lb.Life) is based in Houston.
lol I didn't even think about that.
Lesa Beaty That never occurred to me.
Have you noticed how he has aged I worry there is no one to take his place.... willing to take the risk
Dr. Now's making a killing 😂

I'm overweight myself, and all for "body positivity". Where I'd draw the line is being unable to walk, put on my own shoes, or get in and out of bed on my own. By all means feel good about how you look, but surely being able to perform the basic functions of a human being comes first.
Agree with you
The moment I can't wipe my butt, I'm starting to worry.
Do as you want but don't be surprised that men are disgusted when they look at you.
@@user-xi5ej4ox5s At 73, the point is irrelevant. By the way, "overweight" is not the same as "obese". Put away your copy of "Hustler" and have a look at the BMI scale.
@@annalieff-saxby568 I cannot see you personally but I see that you talk as raged #fattard.
I found this absolutely horrific to watch. It was like passing the scene of a devastating accident and not wanting to see dead people but not being able to look away either. My background is in psychiatry, but I don't think I have ever seen so much denial in my life. For Diane to think that her weight should just be accepted is nonsense. She must have had severe medical issues. But she just didn't see it as a problem. I think she had given up. The fellow doing competitive eating and being proud of it has just admitted he has no meaning in life apart from eating. Only Tiffany had any motivation to get to a normal weight and I hope she has been successful. But what a tragedy for everyone else.
The first step in beating addiction is accountability. 90% of addiction is psychological. As soon as I figured that out, I didn't just beat addiction...I kicked its ass.
This is exactly what I was thinking. As a nursing student I can’t fathom how easily she justifies her weight problem! She must be in excruciating pain, have diabetes, hypertension, etc. Not to mention the fact that she relies on a motorized wheelchair to get around, that alone should be a wake up call.
My worst fear is being one of the headless fat people they show as B roll footage.

Your comment made me cry...blessings to you Keri.
Good on ya 👍🏾
"If all I had to do was lose weight.." is a statement that negates obesity as an actual disorder. People don't understand that the reasons for being obese are medical ones. If it was so easy to lose weight, obesity would not be a big issue. People are obese for various reasons but it's rarely because they wake up and decide to be 600 lbs. Usually there are deep seeded psychological issues or food addiction or an eating disorder at play. People just assume that all fat people can just change like it is so easy but when you are so obese your body and hormones change making it very difficult to overcome and many would rather just live with it than keep fighting.
@@foodiethebeauty deep seated.

That was 20 years ago. He's such a nice boy. He's intelligent, a very nice personality, a good son and a good-looking boy. I would love to find out how they are all doing 20 years later.

I used to work for the police here In Australia and I dealt with all of the autopsy reports when there had been a sudden death, which was known as an 83. The thing that stayed with me the most is the pathologist’s description of the deceased before beginning the post mortem. They would describe the appearance of the body ie well nourished female, underweight male, etc. I never want to be (just in case I die unexpectedly) the obese female! It has bothered me enough for years, just that description of a body and apart from gaining 20kg while on cortisone, I have never been overweight in my life. I managed to lose that by myself. Never again, I hated being overweight, it felt awful!!
I observed a bunch of autopsies. When I was 16 I volunteered at our small community hospital. They got to know me very well bc I planned to go to med school. I was allowed to observe some autopsies on my own time.
Two were memorable. One guy came in on a plane from an overseas flight and collapsed. He was brought to the ER where he died. There was concern that he had some infectious disease (because of where he had flown in from.)
The next was a morbidly obese woman. She was only in her late 30’s when she came in to the ER in full arrest. I got to watch her autopsy. It was the most visually disturbing thing I had ever seen.
The pathologist was forced to change his gloves multiple times bc her body fat made his gloves so greasy. There was real concern that he might cut himself with an knife because everything was greasy from adipose. It was nasty.
If you want to know what this is like, there is a similar full autopsy on CZcams of an obese female. They don’t blur the images like on “Dr. G.” (Why bother filming then?) This is the real deal. Just search for “Autopsy On An Obese Woman: Obesity Post-Mortem.” (I would post the link but I learned that CZcams deletes posts containing links.)
This video will open your eyes. Excess fat will destroy your internal organs. In the case of the autopsy I was present at, her liver was inundated with adipose. She had nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Such a shitty way to die!
Warning: The video is really gross. I think of the autopsy I saw every time someone goes on a rant after their PCP urges them to lose weight. No - it’s not fat shaming - it’s saving your life. That’s like complaining when your PCP tells you to quit smoking. No, knucklehead, she’s not picking on you. We’re trying to keep you from dying of emphysema or COPD - another really shitty way to die.
@@ailleananaithnid2566 I have seen the same. We used to describe it as like the custard in a vanilla slice (if you know what that is). That greasy yellowy fat layer. I mean, we all have some fat. But I used to pity any pathologist who had to deal with their bodies
I felt second hand shame on their behalf! Imagine being described and having some poor person have to deal with the enormous amount of fat! Just disgusting!!
It is really hard to maintain your weight when you retire from a physical job. My weight was so easy to maintain as a nurse on a really busy ward & then in memory support aged care, but once I finished up I was really surprised by how quickly I started to gain weight simply because my activity level dropped. I imagine being a police officer is the same if you go from a busy cop making sure dumb bogans are behaving to a more sedentary life.
why did you say "overweight female" and not "overweight male"? A bit of a double standard.
When I moved from Germany to Texas, the weight was what shocked me the most. In Germany , even overweight is considered huge. I was bigger than most others while being 20lbs overweight. Then I moved to Texas and I’m one of the smallest people around me. The thing that shocks me the most is the fat children. In Germany, you almost NEVER see a fat child, and if you do it’s an American tourists kid. But here in Texas, so many kids, especially the boys are so big. It hurts my heart seeing them, knowing their parents are setting them up for a life of struggle and health issues.
Sadly that's changing. After Corona a LOT of obese kids came back to school. Unhealthy habits seem to have rooted themselves deeply into the German society, too. Sadly.

I'm sorry but there is no way diane was truly as happy as she claimed. I have been morbidly obese. I wasn't even a third of her size, nor was I immobile, but the psychological damage of my relationship with food and the sheer amount of insecurity, lethargy, and mental health issues you live in when you're obese is undeniable. All this food she ate, this heavily processed non-nutritious food, has been scientifially proven to be linked with depression. That's not even delving into the anxiety and contant avoidance of any form of exercise and all the physical limitations you have. Anybody who has successfully lost weight knows that they don't realise how bad it is mentally until they are not there anymore and can look back on it. Diane never really experienced anything that keeps you mentally health - exercise, whole foods, sunlight, good sleep, good relationships etc. I find it hard to believe that she ever truly knew what it was like to feel good and happy.
That my friend is called denial and delusion.

“there’s a history of obesity in my family”
they need to stop using that as an excuse and lose weight.
GageyyBoyy There's a history of heart disease in mine but I stay in the gym
GageyyBoyy Family history in health is often given exaggerated importance. Most health problems, like weight, cancer, etc. are behavior/environmental, not genetic, but people tend not to ignore this, maybe out of fear or guilt. The hardest problems to face are self-inflicted. I work in medicine, and one time a patient with severe COPD, from smoking, was extremely tearful about their diagnosis and hospitalization. The next day, they were upbeat, and mentioned that they remembered that in their early 20s they worked in a factory with strong smells, and THAT must of damaged their lungs (not the subsequent 40 years of hard smoking).
There's a genetic disposition to gain weight faster and have heart and health complications, but yeah it's not excuse. It should be a motivator.
GageyyBoyy not everyone can lose weight like others. Maybe try to understand that we aren't the same, many have hipper active thyroid that is a big problem for people to lose weight. Many didn't have a good childhood and made thire addiction to food. It's not easy to give up just like a alcoholic or a drug addiction.
GageyyBoyy - my family kinda are thicc but here I am 87 pounds and idk how to gain weight..

Zero!! It’s part of their selfish tactics, shift the topic of why being overweight is unhealthy and onto I’m beautiful, I dress well (well that is for the choices of clothing I can get for my size), I am pretty and if I date I demand to be treated well. All a red herring, nobody is going near that enormous body. It’s a mute point now because she’s dead. Her body couldn’t sustain that weight.

She claims she's beautiful while we all can see she has to shave her face daily - a common problem with the obese is whacked out hormones.
Well said
Dianne spends an extensive amount of time defending her position/situation. Okay fine, we all have rights. But what if we (the community) forced her to become fully independent. That is take away the personal care giver, remove the food delivery service, remove the oxygen supply, etc. She would expire in 24-48 hours.
Typical American she is aye?
RIP Dianne. She died from diabetes last month. You can only fight the reaper for so long, but he always comes to collect what he's due
I'm a born & raised Texan. I have struggled with weight since I was 6 yrs old. I have always had hormonal issues. As a child, my mom didn't believe in wasting food. I was forced to eat everything on my plate. I have always loved food. However, it wasn't until my 30s that I began to understand the importance of nutrition and health. I am now in my late 40s and have lost over 70 lbs and completely changed my diet and I feel better. I have NEVER been comfortable being overweight or obese. I wasn't even comfortable in my own skin when I was at healthy weights. Of course now I would give anything to be those sizes again. At least now I am working towards that. It's difficult because America is the worst with poisonous, toxic & bioengineered foods. I have eliminated that stuff from my diet. It leaves me very little selection, but I would rather have satisfactory health than satisfied taste buds and poor health. Being fat is NOT acceptable for ANYONE. PERIOD. Texans need to stop with "there's nothing wrong with being fat". It's a disgusting mindset.
I totally agree
the shots of the barbecue going back and forth with the operation was crazy!

She is barely breathing, can’t walk or take a shower not mentioning about a bath and she still claims that there is nothing wrong about her weight.

She's so in denial. So typical.
They are the ones dying from Covid. The excess fat presses against their respiratory system causing the breathing issues that kill them when they get colds and flus like Covid.
I come from an Italian family that has big spreads for the holidays and food is a part of everyday life. But as we all got older and realized how bad being obese is for you we cut down. Just moderitly exercise smaller portions. You can eat what ever you want. Moderation is the key folks. I loved living in Houston. CHOW.
3:35 That shot coupled with the music always cracks me up 😆
These documentaries or series make me feel skinny

This program made me want to exercise briefly. Just casually just did 10 push-ups and collapsed in exhaustion. Totally normal reaction this video 😂
@Kevin O haha, during & after quarantine I am XD
They definitely do ive lost 16.8 lbs since May still have 6 to 10 pounds to go im not overweight anymore but I want to be smaller. I've been on both ends overweight and extremely underweight and was so unhappy with both 😪 😞
I found Diane’s obituary online, she died in 2006, just two years after this documentary was made. And she wondered why her family were concerned about her weight, her parents had to bury their child and they could see it coming for years but she thought they had the problem.
Yeah, she was in deep denial, bordering on delusional as well.
If she was buried, I bet it cost the parents a pretty penny for the coffin and larger plot..
At this point, it was a slow suicide.
That’s so sad. Thank you for the update.

At this point, she should not lose weight for physical appearance; she needs to lose weight because of her health. If you gain so much weight to the point where you are crippled, you need to lose weight.
Sure, health is the most important thing. But also she is so fat that she is unattractive.
Health is beauty. The physical appearance comes from inside: your skin, your smell... Less of her problems is she looks pretty, she should care more about not dying in a couple of years

This video is no joke. I moved to Colorado not long ago and so far havent seen anywhere near the morbid obesity here that I did in Texas! The active outdoor life is much more of a thing here than it ever was in Texas
Try being a NURSE in ANY health care facility there and you will see that it really is a problem no matter how often the obese ones desperately stay in denial. I have met Them....lots of them.
Try being an EMT trying to load a desperately and emergently ill 600 lb person into a bariatric ambulance after taking them down a flight of stairs.
Or try being a surgeon contemplating doing vital emergency surgery on the same patient knowing as he/she does the huge risks involved with a supersized morbidly obese patient....that is, if your OR Suite even has a surgical table large enough to accommodate an individual of this size
This is actually really horrific. A mum of an 11 year old boy, buying him fast food and telling him to make better choices. Poor boy…. Absolutely shocking…

It puts you in the higher risk group, along with several other factors. It’s just that this is something each individual has control of.

@@4dsushi217 Yes indeed im a black and very fit woman going on 40 in august i couldnt imagine being fat 😱
My mom told me since I was a child to eat when hungry and to stop when you’re almost full. Don’t bloat yourself with so much food bc you still need to drink after the food and breath after taking all of those. So I only eat in a small portion and make sure I still have room for a glass of water and still can breath comfortably after I ate.
I still wondering how they’re comfortable with the big size. I mean, does your bone and joints not hurt? I’m currently pregnant and gained almost 12 KG in 9 months and when I walked it hurt so much, my joints hurt, and I can’t wear my old clothes.. I just cannot wait to giving birth and working out to get my normal weight back 😅
I am so happy that I was born in Europe and can walk 10km every day and eat healthy.
it's sad that the child already has been taught that he is fat because he has a slower metabolism than his friend, and especially when it right after is revealed that the skinny friend just eats a lot less.
Ik that's sad to hear. Hope he doesn't grow up to be like Mr "I've lost weight 10 times, must just be fat for me to be this big" lookin' ass
Weight = 80% food + 20% exercise. Familial and social conditioning around food is what causes generations of obesity.
When I was a kid i used the metabolism excuse but I used to believe it, I realized that everyone just eats less.
I mean eating does it a lot I have a high metabolism and got it checked by doctors that I have to eat double the normal daily average to stay steady I'm skinny I think people just need to go to the doctor get there daily advice for how much to eat I like eating but it you have restraint then your usually not gonna be fat if you don't then your usually fat
