Oh wow.. This song is amazing. It reminds me of when I was driving through Death Valley back to Vegas.
The name Death Valley I learned for the first time from the book 'Winnetou' by Karl May. It's a very ancient reference. Btw some say that Sitting Bull was from Lost Tribes of Israel.... which is interesting to say the least. One Indian chief once said white man and red man are actually brothers but we will see this when the God finally makes it apparent.... So back to Death Valley obviously that name is also found in the Bible and is connected with friends being DIS-affected (word play). Dis is the god of the Underworld but linked in words like Disaster it suggests that a big catastrophe happened on this planet long ago and this situation badly messed our perceptions of good and bad. The explanation being that humans used Star Signs to guide them as they were taught by the Angels of old; however the disaster tilted the Earth Axis which then showed a confused "story" in the heavens. Wise Serpent became evil Satan etc. But he is the good father. Basically Hollywood inherits this wrong story and propagates it around the globe. We need to come into contact with those who still have the old knowledge to heal from this mess.
Didn't expect such a long reply lol. It's cool though! I drove past an actual ghost town called Rhyolite there. This song brought me back instantly to that moment.

The folks that are having trouble with this song, i,e. too mainstream, etc., may have forgotten that Adam wants to be a pop singer. Because we heard him leaving himself on the stage every week back in 2009, we may think he has to do what we heard first - sort of "we believe the person that told us the story first" kind of thing. Also, just because you CAN do something, does not mean that you have to. That being said, pop in the earbuds, give another listen, you will hear nuances that you may be missing if you are just listening via laptop speakers. There are layers in this track that are pretty amazing. I, too, adore the rock n roll man, the ballad man, but music today is a delicate balance among what the artist wants, what the audience wants and what the label wants. I think he may have found that balance. Let's see what the rest of the album brings! Respectfully, end of soapbox! Whew...!

There's something magic about this song.....this is the first time I've had a song stick in my head this long...I mean from the first listen on the day it was released. I wake up in the morning hearing Adam's voice singing "My heart is a Ghost Town" and the melodic whistle. This song just grows on you more and more with each listen.....amazing! Love it!

Adam can sing anything, but singing anything doesn't usually translate into hits. This song strikes a cool combination of seeming eerily familiar but also a hot new sound. Almost all the criticism I see in these comments are because people think this track could be "sung by anyone" and "doesnt show case his vocals". All I can say is, listen to it properly and get over your prejudice against dance music. This is not just some frivolous fluffy song and no, it couldn't be sung like this by just anyone. You're all way too used to that whole torch song, big ballad, glory note crap beloved of the Idol franchise for so long. Yes Adam can sing an incredible range of notes with awesome strength and control. Everyone knows that now. But making more songs that show off his vocals just so some of his die-hard fans can sit in front of their pcs gasping in wonder & rave about how awesome his lungs are is pointless. That doesnt get him anywhere & isnt what music is about. What's more impressive is what Adam can do with his vocals in this song where he is more restrained and instead of relying on just powering through shockingly difficult big notes he's pulled it all back and is utilising a beautiful and complex range of tones and textures in his vocal technique. Move on from your preconceived ideas of what he "should" be doing and try to understand and appreciate the brilliance of what he actually IS giving you.

This . . . this is beautifully restrained, showing off the small nuances of his voice and that exquisite tone he has, even when he's reigning it in. Great great single!! This is deep deep house that casts sight shadow of 90s pop music, integrated with great repetitive background music. Of course, the best vocalist nowadays shows off his mutant vocal chord again, though he obviously has not showed off his full range and vocal ability. Great song!! I will buy 10 copies on iTunes.

This track.. First time I heard it... I liked it... (Honestly, I thought it was pandering to too many audiences...)
However. It just busted a cluster headache... And for that, I Thank you! 😂 I've been suffering with chronic cluster headaches for nearly 6 years.... And been through a Crap load of BS meds.... Nothing helps.... I've been off all meds for a year... (Occasional Advil or x-strength Tylenol)
This tack made me smile... And got my breathing right... I'm sure I'll get sick of it soon... But I'm gonna love it and enjoy my clear mind for now.
