      @@vickvickson4273 stats for their shots during tournaments are easily accessible. Fed himself says that he only really became happy with his backhand when he changed it in like 2017. Flashy winners is not what wins tennis matches, he made far more mistakes on it than winners, which is why almost every match point against him you watch, his opponent will just pepper the backhand until they get the error

      And why exactly isn't Alcaraz the real no.1? Is it his fault Novak didn't want to get vaccinated? His fault they didn't let Novak play Australia or USO? All i know is Carlos won 3 big titles so far and 2 ATP500. And the one time he played Novak this year, he beat him straight up. After beating Nadal nonetheless in the previous round.

    Alcaraz is Djokovic on steroids. He does almost everything, a tad better than Nole.
    But Novak with only one weapon, i believe, is superior to Alcaraz in a match of attrition: The 2 handed backhand. He can play shots of that wing, which is normally only possible with a forehand. And, it's apparent that his slice has improved too.
    Hoping against hope, they allow the GOAT to play the Australian open.

      @@ramifishpoker On paper... Alcaraz has a better serve, forehand, more power in his groundstrokes, more explosive off his feet, better volleyer, better touch, more creative, better mid-court game and far more offensive.
      It's a different thing implementing those, agaisnt a player like Nole. The fact is Novak is good enough to constantly play to Alcaraz's weaknesses and hence pull out a win.

    Nice that Novak was able to play in Israel.
    I'm still upset with my country for not letting him in for the Open.
    He has been cheated out of the chance to play two majors now and neither Nadal or Federer will speak out on his behalf.

      @@Marc467gg the excuse they gave was that the federal government has vaccination policies in place against any sort of travel from other countries. It wasn't a USTA policy. I contacted my senators and congresswoman asking for relief but never got a response.

    I, as a fan of the Big 3, have to say that Djokovic is/was a major PITA for the other two. Statistically (H2H, No.1 ranking duration, GS & MS titles all weighed in), Novax...ahem, I mean Novak is the best. However, for pure artistry, I gotta go with Rog. For pure mental...it's so close between Rafa and Novak as they're virtually tied. As for sheer weight of shot, gotta go with Rafa.
