Duke gets to final 4, elite 8s with these classes & Kentucky loses in round 1 with their #1,#2 ranked classes. Having a brand new team every season that has 6,7,8 months or whatever to learn how each other play and learn to play together as a team versus a team that has guys that's been playing together for 2,3,4,5 years plus a couple high ranked freshman is a big advantage to the team that's been playing together. Now with that said I still believe that if you put the right freshman class together and get that perfect 4,5,6 freshman that complement each other and make each other better and are unselfish players and just click together from day 1 that you can put together a freshman group that can compete for a national title. Dukes 6 incoming freshman are all very good and I believe they are the freshman class that I just described above. Adding the freshman to Proctor who has 2 years experience now and Foster who missed the tournaments but still played 27 games and started 15 has a year of experience plus now Duke has added 2 year player out of Syracuse Malik Brown and 4 year player out of Purdue Mason Gillis and now you have even more experience and leadership not to mention 2 very good tough players to add to the mix. I love the direction this Duke team is going in and can't wait to see who else is added to this roster. Dukes roster is only getting stronger, man it's gonna be a long wait until next season starts

I also think people are underestimating the return of proctor. That was huge. His freshman year he was literally ungaurdable the last 15 games of the season. He never got his flow this season because he was hurt.

But duke now adds mason gillis and maliq brown. Experience and toughness. Duke will be long tough and will be a nightmare on the defensive end.
Those guys were bit players. Role guys who barely made impacts. Brown is not physical either. He's a bean pole.

You were wrong about Jeremy Roach this was his best year of basketball. This was his highest scoring and he shot 42% from the three. He wasn’t the problem with Duke this season it was not having a big man rim protector. He was one of the most consistent players last year even had a good game against Baylor and that is probably why they wanted him!!

Duke recruits 4 McDonalds McNugget-Americans and they are 1-and-done.
People love bashing recruiting rankings but consider that going into the Tourney #1 seeds only win the NC 64% of the time! For the #1 overall seed it's even worse! UConn did it this year but it consider in the past 5 tournaments the #1 overall seed was more likely to lose to a #16 seed than win the NC! Think about that! It isn't easy to win this thing! Saying teams led by recruits is bad isn't really a cause to losing!
Duke "wins" recruiting all the time as per the experts. That's why we actually play the games.

We hear this about Duke about once every 3/4 years. It's the best class ever....blah blah blah. This is just Kentucky repackaged. These kids are not about anything but themselves. They have all the talent in the world but are they winners. How bad do they want to win. UCONN is taking winners. This is a joke right? This class is not as good as the Fab Five. They aren't as good as the Kentucky class with Davis and Kidd-Gilchrist. They aren't even as good as the Zion, Barret, Reddish class or the 2015 Title winning crew of Okafor, Winslow and Jones.
Flagg is the only Day 1 contributor at a high level. Have you watched the all american circuit of games? Evans has been horrible. Malauch is a 7-2 giraffe who looks lost and confused on the court. (And bites at every pump fake) And Knueppal might actually have lead in his shoes. He'll be roasted on D by ACC level athletes.
The expectations on this class better get tempered REAL quick or people are gonna be sad real fast.

Clearly you are making statements on OTHER people’s evaluations and not your own. Again, a blind person trying to elaborate on what color Duke Blue is without having seen it.
If you’ve watched these recruits in their high school games you would know they are nearly all Champions. Cooper Flagg beat out Harris and Ngongba in the championship game. Evans and Knueppel both willed their teams to championships, had they not been absolutely clutch in the last minute or 2 of certain games, they lose.
But if you actually watched these guys play you would know how to say their names and you would also know if the rankings are justified or not.
Players like Ngongba, in my opinion he’s the best American Big (true 5) coming out of HS, better than Cooper Flagg’s teammate Derrick Queen who is often reckless and out of control. Ngongba is undervalued in the rankings. So is Darren Harris to an extent.
One guy in particular is overvalued, possibly 2, but I won’t say their names.
If you just watch the Chipotle National Finals (Full Game free on CZcams) you’ll see 3 Duke players competing for a championship in 1 game. This isn’t a disorganized McDonalds All American or Nike Hoop Summit game where a bunch of talent is just thrown onto the court. It’s the most recent games of these guys playing with their regular teammates and coaches in an organized system.
As for Maluach, you can find him on CZcams as well. Just look for the Uganda City Oilers.
Cheers guys, and overall enjoyed the show. But you were also wrong about Roach. He had a career year in 3PT% and PPG, but he has always struggled against teams who are Top 20 in Kenpom Defense due to his physical limitations. Love him as a player, hope he does great things at Baylor and makes loads of NIL money.
