My home town, and on my daily commute to Blandford. I've often wondered if it were possible to camp in the middle of there!
The snake heads were an advert for Shaftesbury Fringe Festival a couple of years ago 🙂.

I tried to camp where dog walkers don't go
I don't have a phobia or anything, it's just the thought of getting dog poo on your boots and it'll just get everywhere and then you're screwed.

There's some lovely old woods just outside of shaftsbury with the ruins of an old cottage you could use as a folly. I dont get the whole roundabout thing
But that's the whole point - the need to be stealthy, and where better than on a roundabout?

Snakes? Looks more like a place where you'd find Slow Worms, they look like snakes but they are completely harmless. They're a type of legless lizard and they drop their tail to distract predator's. Poor Slow Worms get eating by almost all animals.
Saw one in Cornwall it was really weird,I just left it didn't touch the tail
