This is my favorite minigame in the Mario Party series.
I love how every version you showed saw Luigi getting screwed over.

I feel like on the newest version it takes too long for the detonation to go off, like come on the suspense is killing me; and will most likely blow me up too!

I find that the music from Mario Party 4 is more fitting for what’s basically a game of Russian roulette. It’s intense and suspenseful.
The original music from Mario Party 2 just doesn’t do it justice.
Although Mario Party 4 is also the only one that *doesn’t* pause the music at the suspenseful moment sadly.
@@BradfortBottlenose I never knew before Mario party 4 for that this mini game was in Mario Party 2. I don't think I ever grew up playing that game but I only remember this mini game being on Mario Party 4 but the music fits perfectly well for it and this version of it's more intense and super competitive.

@@BradfortBottlenose yeah well since the expansion pack is out there's a possibility that I could play Mario party 2 on the Nintendo 64 switch online version. But I am not risking a penny to get that expansion packed after they revealed the price of it.

That because Hudson Soft developed Mario Party 1-8, GBA and DS make the winner for one person or whoever survived unlike ND Cube just trying to get the result to know make 1st-3rd winner which doesn’t make sense I only wanted to see who was winner in the mini game not just lazy come to result who are on the top. Sorry about that if I am saying something bad

this minigame growing up made me fear not doing well in school, not being on someone's good side at all times unless i didn't/don't like them, and might even affect my future jobs.
*screw* this minigame, _especially_ the mario party 2 version, lol, so anxiety-inducing.

Oh, yeah. The classic "Chosse a good one" minigame.(don't talk about A Day At The Races, that one is just "complete" luck)
Ok, that last one was kinda funny. Didn't expect peapoe actualy talking.
I say complete between "s because you need some "player turn" RNG to skip this minigame. If you want to land on a Battle Space, you need to be sure to get some good "dice RNG" and "minigame roulette RNG" to land on a minigame that you are sure that you can win. To do that, you need to save state before you roll the dice, and if you get bad RNG on one of these, you have to load state and try again until you get good RNG on both of these.(i'm referecing specificaly playing MP2 on a N64 emulator)
I still prefer the N64 version. I think it's the nostalgia, art style, sound, all wrapped up in one for the total package.
I mean, it doesn't help that the artstyle and presentation of the modern mario party games is so bland.

@@jclkaytwo its not bland its just updated graphics that goes with the time. That's what happens when games like the Mario series stays around an alive for a long time. I'm pretty impressed with how far the graphics have come along and it's still amazing to me.

Mario Party 4 was my first time playing this minigame so I’m surprised its from the N64 originally! I had an N64 but not mario party

If you set aside a small amount (even just 1 USD; 5 is ideal), you'll eventually have enough purchase a Switch.
If you have a part-time job, that'll help a bit. May/Will have to suspend other commodities. Needs come first.
I did just that when saving up for my Switch, though I set aside more than 1 USD.

Ok I'll be honest I did not know of this New Mario Party superstars until I saw this video. When I it's pic in part of the video's thumbnail I thought is was just some fanfare. But when I saw it. Then watched the trailer for this new game I'm like "Wow! this is gonna be MEGA AWESOMMMMMEEE! I can't wait!!!!!"

Growing up, this was such an intense minigame. I only played 4 through 7 on my gamecube and had some fun with eight on the wii but never ultimately completed it. Four was my favorite overall and I just loved it when the game went on, and on, and on. So much hype.
