Actually no he hasn't sold more albums than George Michael, not 8 years ago when you made that comment on not today although he's very close. George has sold over 80 million and Robbie has sold 75 million records worldwide. Robbie has outsold George in the UK though and is the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom. Love them both.

Foreshadowing at its eerie best, with its pros and cons. Yeah, he became big solo, but while carrying an unresolved baggage from the Take That experience when he left. Glad they mended that it took a long time but I think those height days of fame would have been more enjoyable if he had the support of his former bandmates. It's hard to really have all the fun when there are significant people missing on the journey that you love.
