People want to call Camila a "basic" performer on Twitter who is being "shoved in our faces" but that is just not true at all. Not only does she put an incredible amount of effort into making every performance different, but she does an excellent job of it. It helps that she sounds a thousand times better live than in the studio recordings. They can say her music sucks or that she's annoying, they're entitled to their opinions, but they will never convince me that she is a bad or lackluster performer.

I don't want to be that person but most of those people are poc who are angry that Normani isn't as big as she is. It's just ridiculous honestly. Normani is a talented performer and I believe she will be up there with the big names soon enough. It just upsets me that they think they need to bring Camila down to uplift Normani.

After that, besides tour, she just made the bare minimum to promote any single. NBTS music video came like 4 months after the song came out. Took down her collab with J Balvin.
All 2018 & 2019 she just made a couple mediocre remixes of her songs, the Beautiful remix that saved the day, nothing, nothing, nothing, until Señorita.
Meanwhile, for example, Cardi B, in the same time, had a kid, left some collabs and videos done, reappeared like 2 weeks later in an award show. Same Dua Lipa with One Kiss beside her album.
She had the opportunity to ensure her consolidation making a promotional work following album success but she didn't. Maybe she was happier spending time in her personal life, and I'm not criticizing that, I'm criticizing the professional side regarding promotion, not regarding her work, I know she's a hard worker and for me, the best performer of her generation.
Aurea Carbón Since her last era ended Camila had been nonstopping touring, on her own & with Taylor. She has performed numerous times at award shows, she’s released Sangria Wine with Pharrell, Mi Persona Favorita with Alejandro Sanz, Find U Again with Mark Ronson, South of the Border with Edd Sheeran and Cardi. In between eras sometimes theres a bit of downtime as artists usually are writing/recording new music and strategizing plans for their next era but I think Camila has been pretty busy constantly tbh

Find you again, Mi persona favorita & South of the border, came all more or less during the same period of time, months up, months down, along with Señorita. As I said, it's not about her being busy or her commitment with work, but about smart professional moves and promo. You can be on tour during 3 years in a row and that doesn't mean relevance. She had that relevance, more than any other artist by that time, I'm sure that better ways to capitalize it exist.

I'm not such a huge fan of her music, nor of her voice, but I'm mad in love with her being a pop singer who is more than an image, can sing and has personality. You see/hear her and you realise she's actually an artist, not a prefabricated cheap product. I don't listen to more than 2 songs, but differently from many pop acts, she's worth paying for, to see her live.
