I actually keep a bug list of 70+ issues that keeps growing with every single content update and I send it over to HG every couple of months. I'm actually seriously impressed that this patch addressed about 6 of the bugs I had on my list, some of which are years old.
Bravo. How about they release a functional game next time? If this weren't on gamepass I never woulda played it, and it will be uninstalled the day Starfield drops.
Switch finally got the expedition update - although it's 4.3.0, so still behind. Worse yet, this update did *not* fix the crash loop so many Switch players have been stuck in for the past two months since Interceptor dropped. My main save literally crashes two seconds after leaving the initial loading screen. I've already heard from others who also remain stuck. Genuinely glad HG is fixing things for other platforms. I just wish they'd make the game playable on Switch again.
@@michaelg2823 I heard about those crashes on PS5. That's crazy! If the game isn't even running properly on the most powerful of consoles, what hope do those on last gen consoles have? Here's hoping Hello Games fixes things for all supported platforms.
@@jaydub2546 How many titles *exclusive* to your console of choice have sold at least 20 million copies? Go check. Then look at how many Switch exclusive titles have done so (don't forget to add the latest one, Tears of the Kingdom). Again, I'm not talking about cross-console releases. I'm talking about platform exclusives, where people must own that specific console to play that game. The numbers are rather telling. Just because you think something is terrible doesn't mean you're right, or that the majority of gamers agree with you. Plenty of great games release on the Switch. You might be okay missing out on those, but I'm not. Also, who says I don't own another console? I'm looking at my PS5 as I type... the Switch sees far more use.
I was really hoping to see an update that included a Carrot Belt, oh well. I do see the panicked Sentinel Ship scrapping underway before this gets applied. Did not make sense that their value was that high. Thanks for keeping us all up to date on these updates!
That only happens when some douche builds a base in close proximity to the crash. Usually ones that have portal runes posted online. The workaround is to immediately report the base, and reload your ship exit restore point.
I loved this Expedition, but I think I am done with NMS! I played on Xbox with all its bugs, but I got through it! I really loved the story too! I got to the end & the save did not change but I guess they fixed that now! I checked my Twitch/QS rewards & nothing show up! The only ones it showed were the Singularity items I earned! I had played Utopia & bought allot of QS items & they are all gone! I disconnected & reconnected Twitch & Xbox! I uninstalled & reinstalled the game like some people told me to do! Nothing has worked! Every time I check nothing! I don't mind bugs, but I would like the things I earned to be in my game! Sorry for the rant! Great vid Xxiou, keep up the good work!
Honestly I'm in the same camp. Beat the story (via gamepass ofc), and played around 100 hours when I started to notice the same dozen or so planet biomes, creature types, ship configurations ect, appear over and over again across multiple galaxies. Had all my portal runes and everything. When I quit I had over 1k planets in my log. Also it was pretty hard to maintain interest after seeing the Starfield direct presentation. Even if Starfield is buggier than the Fallout 76 release it will still have fewer bugs than NMS does 7 years after launch.
There's a secret patch they did as well. I was doing the expedition using the same atlas interface and after the update I had to find a new atlas interface as the one I was using wouldn't let me use it anymore

I don't see "fixed the game looking like pixelated 2000s era wet ass on PS4" on that list. Its bad. A major graphical downgrade. Its like sitting too close to a bulb TV.
Well, can't say I'm too surprised they finally decided to nerf price of the Interceptors. I don't think that was a bug, but that indeed was an issue since finding and scrapping random interceptors made almost every other way of acquiring units redundant. Especially in very early game since you can literally start with that. All you need is an advanced mining laser mod for your multitool and you are ready to go.
They're FINALLY fixing the Artemis head's eyes? That's only been a bug since ever! I swear I made that bug report on it's eyes years ago! Admittedly it's cosmetic, but still. Seeing only the literal back of it's eyes made picking which eyes largely pointless.
Just saw that this update is available on STEAM. Just downloaded on my system a few minutes ago. For the Appearance customization I wish we could pick individual arms or parts. So if I just want my right arm to be robotic I can change just that one and not both as it is now.

Has anyone else seen that bug where crashed interceptors think they're landed pilot ships, and take off?
Yeah my friend kept getting to them and they'd just fly off. He thought people were stealing them as he got there 😂
