There are two things that unite Norway like nothing else (IMO, clearly biased here) and it's King Haralds speaches, and Karpe. Poets and pioneers.

I have to agree with you Silje, I took my son, whom at the time was13 years old, and the lyrics and the music had a big impact on the spectators. Everyone was singing along to the lyrics, and the performance from the stag, combined with the connection the band made with the audience, was one to remember for the rest of my life. Still bring tears of delight and joy, when I watch these videos from the concert. The atmosphere in the Spektrum arena was electric. This concert is by far the one that have had the biggest impact on me as a human. MAGIC

Just imagine being a child in a new country, having to translate everything to your parents. Know things about them, be the one to guide and give advice. Go to the doctors Office and explain deceases, go to officials and hjelp with paper work.
Karpe is a treasure for many in Norway. But most of all a voice for a few - building bridges of understanding, insights and widining everybodys horizons to language and culture. Appreciating what makes us different, same, interesting, fun, sad, angry, and more

If I remember correctly, this was the opening of the concert. Ibuprofen is acategory of painkillers. Ibn Adam is a reference to son of Adam: Man/human. I love the multicultural sound and mixing og languages; Norwegian, Englush, arabic and a local Indian language.

Went to this concert. Ig was actually 10 concert sold out n ten days. So 150 000 people came to see them. Huge rap duo in Norway. Their music/lyrics do really put todays issues, challenges and prop lens on the map. They have a lot of cool songs. The use to call themselves Karpe Diem. The first time they sold out Spectrum, that live show may be one of the best productions in the world

As a Norwegian, I've just heard Karpe on radio, and seen them live on tv.
    It's imo extremely good 🤩🤩
This make me wish I was able to watch some of their concerts, only 2 hrs away w plain and train, or 20 hrs by car 😄

Interesting association you made to American churches. I can only imagine. Karpe has a song and foundation named PAF.no. The song is their interpretation of an old Tunisian folk song called Sidi Mansour. Patel and Abdelmaguid Foundation (PAF). Part of the background of the foundation was they signed a bad deal as young and inexperienced artists, where they gave away the rights to their albums to a major label who hustled them. It took them 12 years to win their rights back, and they decided that all royalty income from their albums streamed up till Omar Sheriff will be spent on charity. In their publication of the foundation they wrote: “We are born in Norway. We haven’t worked harder, we don’t deserve more, and haven’t gone from 0 to 100. None of us even know what 0 is. Our parents came here and got a chance. To give our catalog back to people who are in the same situation as they were, or to people at an even harder starting point is coming full circle for Karpe. We’re keeping our promise. Every time you listen to one of our tunes from «Glasskår» to «SAS PLUS / SAS PUSSY» all the income will go straight to PAF. Once each year PAF will distribute money to small and big projects seeking to improve the situation for refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants. In Norway and in the rest of the world. PS. Ibn means “son of” in Arabic, so “son of Adam”.

Thank you Jeff! I enjoy your reactions immensely, but your comments to music and lyrics. I find your comparison with churches interesting. In a way the stars of entertainment seems to have taken the place if worship for many. I dont mean it as a positive or negative, more like an observation. 🙏🏼👏💕
