Maybe a more modern MH:World would pull me back in, but Rise and Sunbreak are weak entries and World just looks and feels outdated now. At least WH feels fresh.

Iceborn truly was amazing, after World it was a perfect sequel, the add of Safi, Alatreon and Fatalis was just *chief kiss* Even after 3000 hours playing, you just want to play it again, i'll never have the same feeling as the first time, I'm too strong mechanically, but this is one of the game I cry on everytime I start a new game, feels are just too real ;D

Didn't struggle by myself tbh, been playing the whole game with my bf and we did every quests and hunts together, so much that when the characters talked about me and my palico using 'both', I though they were talking of us XD Hope you can find hunters to help you past this cap, but if you want tips, after Shara, try upping your glory fief to trancend your armor and weapons, the safi and kulve will be tough but you'll get through eventually. Also if you find someone to play with, try teaming up as 2 or 4 hunters, 3 hunters makes the monster as strong and tanky as a 4-players hunt but without palicos' help.
I love that iceborne content still comes. I wish they didn’t stop adding monsters in favor of rise, because it’s the most fun for me overall. I kept hoping they’d add gammoth though. We’ll get ‘em next time bois.
I love how clusters are so inefficient for killing big monsters, if you're at mid distance with a monster and shoot a cluster shell straight forward, the angle on the expulsion of the smaller bombs will just come back to you and kill you, that is irl though, but yea, just make the cluster spray forward instead of backwards because it makes it SOOO MUCH HARDER to use against anything that isn't a building, which is why i theorize the HBG was made for some sort of human conflict, because it is VERY BAD for monsters (not in game im a HBG main)
Lol, when i fought raging rajang on this map i used more environment than ever before. I start of in snow with Large Barrel bombs at the wall. I light them up with rajang, which sucks us all down with the avalanche. Then i shoot the stalagmites from the ceiling which land on him and then i take the fight to the cliff where he hangs when ice parts drop off and trying not to fall. It's a massacre
I do, in MH Rise. It's on game pass. I play an archer, with two dogs. It's not "meta" for the base game, but- they have move sets that correlate to your own for each weapon. They do the same moves, but they're essentially mapped out differently for each weapon. Set up traps, take up high ground, do a shot to trigger roar/charge and use dragon piercer. I use the chain blades for the dogs and give them blunt weapons. This does a lot of exhaust damage. Monsters can knock you off cliff's edges that they cannot scale, but this can be reduced too with your own brace-type arc shot! Using endemic life and some items can be done in air too, I've tried max quick sheathe and wire bug whisperer, which is really fun Hunts take longer, and it's probably easier to do alone but hunting in rise feels a lot more engaging on the hunter side in Rise, as opposed to the monster side in World.

Mastering gunlance, lance, and both of these weapons gotta be freaking awesome in mhw. Im trying to use bow and im really, really considering of trying gunlance.
You're not supposed to look the heartbeat, and it's actually one of the main feature of MH so nope don't think they'll add health bars. Don't think it's a good idea either, in a real hunt you wouldn't see health and it's so much more immersive this way (I don't want to play a UI driven Ubisoft game tbh), and as I said you are also not supposed to look at the heartbeat constantly, it doesn't really help on the hunt, doesn't even help to capture since you are only really certain when the monster is limping (or know the game so well you know it's about to die) Though if you want specified data while playing, I recommend 'Hunter Pie', it's free and works as an overlay over your game, and you can personnalize what you want to see in game (which monster is on the map, gold crowns, their health, specific body parts health, team damage percentage, etc) Used it a lot in late game (wrecked it with my Bf, we only wanted to farm faster and better), it may solve that they won't put health bars in game. :)
Tbh the no health bar makes it like its just you and the monster battling each other and you pay attention to the fights and the intensity of the fights slowing down when the monsters dying, which monster hunter perfected in animating. Just what I preferred imo

One thing I wish Monster Hunter had was health bar's, I've gotten good at reading the heartbeat monitor but it keeps my eyes off the target
