Impeachment is a mechanism provided to enforce coequal branches of government; it's not really about if we the people care.

The issue though, is what will leadership do about the impeachment if their constituents don't care. I don't see a lot of people that are willing to do the right thing no matter what. A lot are just going to do what will get them re-elected.
@Clinton Pachingel I see what you mean, but they aren't really less productive compared to past Congress sessions in terms of number of bills passed. The everyday person isn't as concerned about investigations even though that has always been a part of Congress's functions. They check in on the different Departments and investigate people in the government on a regular basis, so hearings are the norm. The President has gotten a lot of public attention, but he's definitely not the only person being investigated by Congress.

But I was watching a documentary on South Korea and it gave me a different perspective. We complain about how bad things are...and they are. Sondland didn't tell the truth. When Congress gets a hold of the transcript of that Kiev phone call, he and Volkman are in a mess of trouble. Lying to Congress is a crime. All of the people who were subpeoned and didn't show, as well as the documents that were not turned over that were subpoened should have to pay a cost.

IMO. I don’t think it’s a matter of people not caring. It’s more of a matter of not being able to AFFORD to care. We don’t have time to sit and watch tv, or call our congressmen, we are working, ridiculous hours, 2nd shifts, double shifts, 2nd and third jobs trying to make ends meet. After all these years, everyone that gets into office think they know what the American people want but won’t listen when we tell them. We all feel as if whatever happens happens and the only thing we can do is fake it til we make it. Do we care? Yeah we care but who has time to care?
Okay look. Trump is terrible. But sonny is a little off base. The average, possibly educated or uneducated person in the Midwest or on the east coast, literally DOES NOT CARE about these nor do they have time to watch these because they work 12 hours a day. It’s just crazy to think that people have time to sit and watch this like it’s their job. I know it’s hard for them to get that, but it’s true. People are keeping their money that they work hard for under Trump and that’s all they care about.

I am from India. Though we are Democratic country you can see so many anti-democractic politics. Chief-Ministers and Prime ministers ordered criminal investigations on opposition leaders the day sworn-in. In many cases, in 1 day police files 600+ FIRs on a single opposition leader in a state. If Donald is NOT impeached for asking a foreign leader to investigate an opposition leader / asking for an FIR, he will prosecute them inside USA. What if he ordered a hit job on a opposition leader by CIA, look at the military people how difficult it is for them to report, testify against their president. If he ordered a kill, and there are no leakers and only loyal enforcers in government, you guys are SCREWD!!!

And, as a Veteran and an American, from what I have seen, what people have testified, what his people have said, and what he has said himself, I want him impeached. In my anology I made the comparison mainly because he's a criminal that was elected to a position where he s not allowed to commit crimes,but still does. What crimes did he commit you ask? Bribery/extortion,corruption and campaign finance violation. I'm not like these hosts that don't do their research or point out the obvious( except sunny, she's the exception), go try that on someone else. Every witnesses' testimony points to the same thing, the president committing a crime. And if you think Trumps so innocent, why doesn't he allow people to testify?
