“Valföðr” (“father of the slain”) is one of Odin’s many epithets.
“Vitkar” were magicians in Norse societies, especially dedicated to runic magic.
Refrains list out all the runes names present in Elder Futhark alphabet. Runes had a sacred use in Nordic religion, and Odin himself hung on the Yggdrasil for nine nights to learn the secrets of the runes and gain the right to be runemaster. Every rune is associated a meaning, to which their magical power was linked. Keep in mind that most of these names can have more than one translation.

Eihwaz: ᛇ [ï/æ] - yew tree, tree of life (arvore teixo, arvore da vida)
Perþo: ᛈ [p] - unknown meaning, maybe luck (desconhecido, talvez sorte)
